金漢植 대구교육대학교 1970 論文集 Vol.6 No.-

In this thesis, I attempted to study on the governmental organization and function in early Ming dynasty and verify on their characteristics. In addition, I disclosed the situation of early Ming dynasty's absolute emperial system in the Chinese history. At first, Ming T'ai T'su had little learning but on his crown he provided himself with intellgence and with which are the pre-requisites to be an emperor. He also was born poor and aquainted with lives of poor peoples. He consolidated his position of restoration, renovated the maladministration of the former Mongolia dynasty and reformed its administration, economy and thought, etc. Though ideal, the absolute emperial system was established with support of the school of Kum Hwa. He abolished the Chung Su Sung and prime minister in 1380. He himself held the port folio of prime mininster. Before this he also abolished provincial governor as one person, divided the power of local areas into three parts, administration, military affairs, inspection and controlled all of them. Besides Ming T'ai T'su enforced policies for embodiment of a absolute emperial system as follows: ·Inspected continually high and distinguished public sevants by body guards(錦衣衛) and tortured them by Jung Jang(延校). ·Renovated civil administration by the agricutlure first principle and practiced politico-economic integration policy in which economy was controlled by political powers. ·Unified though by Confucianism. ·Adapted the national isolation policy by embargo at sea. The system of absolute emperor in the early Ming dynasty in which the emperor was both national sovereign and administrative leader was handed down to Ming dynasty and pursued until Chung(淸).
