80,000 G/T급 크루즈선이 입항할 수 있는 터미널을 계획하고 있는 제주신항에 대하여 자연ㆍ환경 조건 및 방파제 등의 구조물 등을 고려하여 선박조종시뮬레이션을 실시하여 입ㆍ출항 및 접ㆍ이안의 안전성을 평가하고자 한다. 안전성 평가는 항로경계의 침범여부, 구조물과의 최근접거리, 선박조종자의 주관적 평가를 통계적으로 해석하는 방법을 이용하였다. In accordance with the development plans of Jeju for international free city, Jeju new harbor will be constructed cosidering supporting Jeju city as an international tour city, safe arrival and departure at the terminal of 80,000G/T cruise ship. In this study, we used a lull-mission ship handling simulator adopting 80,000 G/T cruise ship manoeuvered at the planned Jeju international cruise terminal. Five masters who have had a long experience of ship maneuvering were called to carry out the simulations, of which No. 1, No. 2 and No. 4 scenario of simulation were tried twice, completed the total of 10 times and No. 3 scenario of simulation once, reached at the total of 5 times. The marine traffic safety was assessed in terms of 1) the closest point of approach(CPA) to breakwater and quay in the vicinity and the probability of crossing fairway limit, 2) subjective evaluation such as the mental burden and the maneuvering disfficulty of shiphanders, and 3) the opinions of shiphandlers. From the result of this simulation, we have a conclusion that the 80,000 G/T cruise ship can be maneuvered safely at the planned terminal.
항해 안전관련 시설 원격 감시 및 제어모듈의 개발에 관한 연구

본 연구에서는, 모든 유ㆍ무인등대와 등ㆍ부표를 원격으로 감시하고 제어하기 위한 항로표지 집약관리센터를 구축하기 위한 기반여건 조성작업의 일환으로써, 장비 및 그 지리적인 특수성 때문에 유지ㆍ관리에 있어서 기술적 경제적 어려움이 많은 무인 항해 안전관련 시설에 대하여, 상태 확인 및 관리ㆍ제어는 물론, 정비시기의 예측 등 장비의 운영상태를 최고의 상태로 유지할 수 있도록 하는 모듈의 개발에 관하여 논하였으며, 본 연구에서 개발한 모듈을 활용한다면 보다 과학적이고 효율적인 항로표지의 설치, 관리, 운영 및 유지ㆍ보수가 가능할 것이다. Is is said to be very difficult to maintain the aids to maintain the aids to navigation such as buoys and lighthouses due to their geographical characteristics. This paper, as a part task of the construction of aids to navigation control center, describes the method to make the module for remote-controlling lighthouses and buoys. We become to be able not only to get informations such as the conditions of lights and batteries, but also to control remotely the aids to navigation by using microwaves so as to maintain them in good condition.
화이버레이저를 이용한 조선용 STS316L의 용접시 용접부에 미치는 용접변수의 영향

Stainless steel is widely used for construction, maufacturing and ship building as well as living goods. The Welding using laser has low heat input and rapid processing is possible. So it is expected that the laser welding can be used for the ultra violet LED which has been developing to sterilize ballast tank, and increase the productivity of ship building. These process have to be carried out within ship inside. Therefore, basic researches for welding of stainless steel using fiber laser which is possible to be miniaturized are needed. In welding of 8t 316L stainless steel using fiber laser, the penetration depth is greatly depend on laser power rather than welding speed. When only the welding speed is low, the laser power has huge effect on bead width.

Mold industry is essential to the basic industries of automobile and electronic parts and grows with allied industries. But surface hardening treatment is necessary to improve the quality and life time of die because the die has enormous influence on the quality and cost of products. So far, Flame and induction heating have applied for surface hardening, but they involve many problems such as the distortion and limited shape. Therefore, laser surface treatment method is used to solve these problems and increase the surface hardness of die. This study is related to the surface hardening treatment of spheroidal graphite cast iron FCD550 for die by using high power diode laser. The experiments of laser heat treatment were done in order to research the optimum condition with the change of beam travel speed and laser power. Measured hardness after heat treatment at that condition increased more than three times as compared with base metal. As a result of observations on microstructure of hardened zone, the matrix structure was the forms of lath martensite.

The in-process monitoring of $CO_2$ welding of Zn-coated steel plates has been studied and compared with that of conventional thin plates. Relationships between weld defects and plasma emission signals were evaluated in laser lap joint of thick Zn-coated steel. According to the study, weld defects were found to increase with Zn content. As a result, measured plasma emission signals also decreased. In case of plate with $15{\mu}m$-thick Zn-coated layer, defects caused by evaporation of Zn could, therfore, controled by gap of 0.1mm, resulting in a stable emission signals. However, the amplitude of signals fluctuated very widely. Variation of amplitude sould be limited in 3-8V by FFT smoothing.

This study is related to the laser weldability of AZ31B magnesium alloy, an all-purpose wrought alloy with good strength and ductility. CW and pulsed Nd:YAG laser are used to make butt and lap joints respectively. In butt welding of magnesium alloy with the thickness of 1.2㎜, the effects of welding conditions on the weldability were examined in more detail. In addition, the mechanical properties of butt joints were investigated by tensile and hardness tests. Consequently, a superior weld with nearly the equivalent strength and the half elongation of the base metal was obtained. In case of magnesium alloy with the thickness of 0.6㎜, lap welding was performed with two types of pulse wave(square and variable pulse shapes) to control weld defects. As a result, the crack and porosity were occurred in the weld, and these defects had not been controlled by general square pulse shape. But through the application of variable pulse shape, sound welds were obtained without the defects.

Laser Material Processing has been replaced conventional machining systems - cutting, drilling, welding and surface modification so on. Specially, LTH(Laser Transformation Hardening) process is one branch of the laser surface modification processe. This study is related to surface hardening of rod-shaped carbon steel applied for the lathe based complex processing mechanism and contains a basic behavior of surface hardening, hardness distribution of treated sections and possibility of the surface transformation hardening used a beam with the gaussian distribution.
