OASiX(Operations and Administration System for UNIX)는 UNIX 운용관리를 위한 실시간 지식기반 시스템이다. UNIX 운용관리를 위한 지식은 크게 감시적 지식, 진단적 지식, 일상관리적 지식으로 나누어진다. 운용자 또는 관리자에 의해 UNIX 운용 관리에 따른 작업은 여러가지의 영역으로 나누어진다. 본 논문에서는 이런 지식들을 기반으로 시스템 운용 관리자를 위한 실시간 처리 시스템에 대하여 기술하였다.

In this study, flow characteristics at the regulators, which is very important for clean gas supply systems for semiconductors and LCD industries, are investigated. Numerical simulations are carried out to visualize flows at regulators for several flow rates and to investigate pressure losses at some parts in the regulator. Velocity field at the regulator along with the detailed velocity field near the spring and near the valve is shown. New regulator models are proposed in this paper, and numerical simulations are also carried out to visualize flows at regulator for several flow rates, and to investigate pressure losses at the parts in new models. Pressure drops a lot across the valve seat. Pressure drop increases as mass flow rate increases. Especially for small opening, pressure drop increases rapidly as mass flow rate becomes large.

This paper presents the study of flows at T-junction pipe with orifices. Experiments were carried out for several flow rates, orifice sizes, and pressure differences. Numerical simulations were also done to get more data for the wide range of flow rates. Experimental results and numerical ones are in a good agreement. Due to the effect of T-junction part, the flow rates at the lateral pipe are greater than those at straight pipe for the same pressure differences. When orifices were added, the effects of T-junction part on the ratio of flow rates and the ratio of loss coefficients reduced.

Characteristics of flows at T-junction duct with and without orifices are investigated in this paper. Experiments and PIV visualization were carried out for several flow rates. Two-dimensional PIV experimental apparatus was decided by numerical analysis. PIV visualization was also coded to visualize flow fields at junctions for two-dimensional case. For the PIV visualization system, Grey-Level Cross-Correlation particle tracking algorithm was used to calculate the flow fields. Vinyl chloride polymer particles of 100 ~ 150㎛ of diameter are used in this visualization. The PIV visualization results showed relatively good agreement with Experimental data.

In this paper, the optimal heating pattern of the furnace is sought to reduce the unnecessary energy loss. A finite difference method was used to estimate the transient temperature field of the billet in a furnace. Heat conduction equations were used in the interior nodes of the billet, while energy balances for conduction, convection, and radiation were considered in the boundary nodes. Several heating patterns for the furnace were tested and subsequently compared each other. The results showed that the temperature in the preheating zone should be set to relatively low. The temperature distributions of the billet are quite different from each other when different heating pattern are used, even though the heating patterns have the same amount of energy consumption. It reveals that there exists an optimal heating pattern to save the energy loss.
