A acoustic characteristics of catalytic converter is investigated using SYSNOISE and analytical method. The equivalent density and sound speed for monolith of converter is utilized to analyze the acoustic performance referring from the previous another research. The characteristics of inlet and outlet conical duct are investigated using SYSNOISE. The results are combined into transfer matrix to acquire TL(transmission loss) of the converter. TL is compared to the experimental result, which correlates quite well. Some parameters are changed and the effects are examined.<br/> <br/>

This paper develops a 11 d.o.f. dynamic model, and analyze the ride comfort of a vehicle. The dynamic model is derived with MATHEMAT1CA program and C language. The time responses over several deterministic roads are simulated, and the frequency response for probabilistic irregular road are examined. The computational results were compared with the test results, which showed good agreements. The index of ride comfort considering the equal comfort curve of human body is used to investigate the effect of parameter change.<br/>
