This paper aim to record the building elements and performance of passive design strategies used in Koreas under-documented traditional Grain Warehouses. First, 8-Grain Warehouses, all located in Jeongeup, Saemgol, were analyzed per primary size, exterior material, and structure. Then passive design elements such as wall ventilation openings, roof fans, and thermal mass strategies were identified. Finally, we measured the indoor and out temperature and humidity to examine the effectiveness of the passive design elements. The following were the results; the indoor temperature was consistently at 24~25.5 °C; however, the humidity were consistently 10% or higher than the outside. These results are essential findings in understanding the passive design strategies implemented in neglected vernacular architecture typologies.
