When olfactory placodes are transplanted at stages 23/24 from Xenopus laevis to Xenopus borealis hosts of the same age, it is possible to distinguish the cell populations of the host and donor due to the peculiar nuclear Q bands specific to X. borealis. I have replaced the eye anlage in each of a number of X. borealis with the transplanted olfactory placode of an individual X. laevis, or vice versa. In most instances, the placode of the donor fuses with that of the host. When fusion occurs, but not when the host and donor orqans grow separately, the cells of the donor were replaced gradually and according to a characteristic pattern by cells of the host. The basal cells of the donor were the first to be replaced, followed by the more matured cells of the sensory epithelium. This cellular substitution, proceeding in an orderly fashion from bottom to upper layers of the epithelium, depends on the fusion of the two organs. This observation suggests intercellular contacts in the mitotic zone of the two organs favor the host's cells over those of the donor.

Many passengers complain about the air quality of subway stations, mostly due to the dust. Usually, this dust is usually originated from tunnels, passengers, or outdoor air. As for now, the dust from tunnels and passengers is not easy to control, but relatively easy to control that from outdoor air. In this study, the effect of outdoor air on the subway air quality was investigated, and various factors was found to be effective. Based on these results, some strategies for the improvement of air quality in subway stations were suggested in this study.

The management of particulate matters (PM) concentration is very important in managing indoor air quality of subway stations. In this study, the effect of track type and nearby road traffic was investigated. PM concentration of subway stations with concrete only track was lower than that of stations with some ballast track. Among the subway stations with ballast track, PM concentration was higher at the stations with smaller portion of ballast track. PM concentration of outdoor air was proportional to the amount of road traffic. However, any direct relationships between traffic and PM concentration of subway stations was not observed.

이종접합태양전지는 단결정 실리콘 기판 표면에 고품질 비정질 실리콘층을 적층함으로써 전기의 근원인 전하의 재결합 손실을 줄여 높은 개방전압을 얻을 수 있다는 특징이 있다. 초박형 태양전지는 기존 태양전지보다 뛰어난 광전변환 특성(Photovoltaic characteristic)을 가지고 두께가 얇아 제품 형상 시 자유도가 높아진다. 본 논문에서는 n-type Bare wafer(160{sim}180{mu}m)를 이용하여 50{mu}m의 웨이퍼를 제작하였다. a-Si:H(p)_a-Si:H(i)_c-Si(n)의 광흡수층 구조를 성막하여 cell을 제작하였다. 그 결과 Voc(Open Circuit Voltage)가 0.666, Jsc(Short-Circuit Current)가 34.77, FF(Fill Factor) 69.413, Efficency 16.07%를 달성했다.
