        The purpose of this study is to arrange the design elements and methods for sustainable community. After made the concept of sustainable community clear in the contemporary architecture and urban design, this study examines rural ecovillage, urban demonstration project, co-housing, new urbanism and urban village, and ecological township as the application modes of sustainable community. Through the cases of the application mode, the design elements for sustainable community were summarized as the followings: the symbiosis system with the nature, permaculture and edible landscape, identity, the technology for saving of resources and energy, the traffic system for the reduction of private motor use, mixed use development, and the housing with diversity. And the design methods for sustainable community were summarized as the followings: strategic planning, visioning, community action planning, workshops and charrette, environmental evaluation, and participation techniques.

        고려 팔만대장경 「阿毘達磨大毘婆沙論」 판각에 관한 사례 연구

        In this research, to study the engraving of Abhidharma-mahāvibhāsā-śāstra of the Goryeo Eighty-Thousand Tripitaka, the following topics are examined: the content and layout of Abhidharma-mahāvibhāsā-śāstra, the scale of work to engrave the Tripitaka, the participating engravers and their activities, the leading engravers, and the distinguishing features and characteristics of each engraver’s workmanship, based on the comparison and analysis of letters carved by each artist. Abhidharma-mahāvibhāsā-śāstra is called the great encyclopedia of Abhidharma Buddhism because it explains in detail the theory of Seolilcheyubu based on the Abhidharma-jñāna-prasthāna-śāstra, and contains the dogma of various Hīnayāna Buddhist schools as well as the history of Buddhism. It was translated into Chinese by Hyeonjang and is composed of 8 chapters(蘊) and 43 verses(納息) in 200 volumes. A total of 2,271 woodblocks of Abhidharma-mahāvibhāsā-śāstra in 200 volumes were engraved during the 31st and 32nd year of King Gojong’s reign(1244-1245). About 569 engravers participated in engraving 4,434 sides of woodblocks, although some took part more than once. Volumes 1~110 were carved in cooperation by several engravers, while each volume of Volumes 111~200 was carved by one engraver. 91 engravers solely in charge of carving one volume carved an average of 10 blocks and 20 sides. With such amount of work, they are assumed to be the expert engravers, largely responsible for carving the Abhidharma-mahāvibhāsā-śāstra. In this research, these 91 engravers were investigated, and the features and characteristics of their carving were analyzed, based on the comparison of 10 letters, that is, 阿․心․沙․彼․道․觀․後․佛․我․初. It is concluded that different engravers carved most of the letters in similar shapes with only slight differences in their size and the thickness and slant of the strokes. Furthermore, factors such as the balance of the letter arrangements, the way the dots were made, the shape of the ending strokes, and the way the strokes bent all evidenced the individual engraver’s working habbit, and his level of craftsmanship and superiority. 본 논문은 팔만대장경 중 「아비달마대비바사론」을 대상으로 판각에 관한 사례 연구를 진행하기 위해 「아비달마대비바사론」의 내용과 구성, 팔만대장경 조성 시 판각 및 판각의 규모, 판각에 참여한 각수와 참여 방식, 주도적인 역할을 한 각수를 알아보고, 각수별로 판각한 글자의 비교 분석을 통해 각자술의 특징 및 성격을 살펴보았다. 「아비달마대비바사론」은 「아비달마발지론」을 바탕으로 하여 설일체유부의 이론을 상세하게 설명하고, 여러 소승 부파들의 敎義와 불교의 역사까지 담고 있어 아비달마불교의 대백과전서라고 부르기도 한다. 현장이 한역한 것으로 전체 200권의 구성이 8蘊 43納息으로 되어 있다. 「아비달마대비바사론」은 총 200권 2,271판이 고종 31년(1244)부터 32년(1245)까지 大藏都監에서 판각되었는데, 실제 판각된 면수는 총 4,434면으로 중복된 인원을 제외하면 약 569명의 각수가 판각에 참여하였다. 권1~110은 공동 참여 방식으로, 권111~200은 권별 분담 방식으로 이루어졌다. 권별 분담 방식으로 참여한 각수 91명은 한 사람이 평균 10판 이상을 판각하고 있는데, 판각량으로 보아 판각에 주도적으로 참여한 전문 각수로 여겨진다. 이들을 대상으로 판각의 특징 및 성격을 알아보고자, 阿․心․沙․彼․道․觀․後․佛․我․初의 10개 글자를 표본으로 선정하여 각자술의 특징 및 성격에 대해 알아본 결과, 각각 다른 각수가 판각했음에도 불구하고 대부분 글자 형태가 유사하게 나타났으며, 글자 배자의 균형, 점을 찍은 모양, 삐침의 형태, 꺾이는 획의 모양에 따라 각수별로 판각의 습관이나 각자술의 정교도 및 우열을 가늠할 수 있었다.

      • GaAs 및 AlGaAs 완충층을 이용한 GaAs MESFET 제작

        GaAs and AlGaAs layers were grown by Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) to fabricate hith performance GaAs MESFETs. Optimum growth temperatures were found to be 600$^{\circ}C$ from their Hall measurement data. MESFETs with the gate legth of 1${\mu}$m and the gate width of 100.mu.m were fabricated on the MBE-grown GaAs layters which has i-GaAs buffer layer and characterized. Knee volgate and mazimum transconductance of the devices were 1V, 224mS/mm, respectively. Cut-off frequency at on-wafer measuring pattern was measured to be 18 GHz. The MESFET with the 1${\mu}$m -thick i-Al$_{0.3}Ga_{0.7}$As buffer layer between nactive and i-GaAs was fabricated on order to reduce the leakage current which flows through the i-GaAs buffer layer. Its output resistance was 2.26 k${\Omega}$.mm which increased by a factor of 15 compared with the MESFET without i-Al$_{0.3}Ga_{0.7}$As buffer layer.

      • 지구환경보전을 위한 도시설계의 전개에 관한 연구 -건축가 피터 칼솝프의 어바니즘을 중심으로-

        The purpose of this study is to analyze and to grasp Peter Calthorpe’s urbanism through the process that is compared with various developments of urban design field for the preservation of global environment. From this study, Peter Calthorpe’s urbanism for global environment is comprehended according to design stages. As a design goal, He seeks a green urbanism that puts emphasis on land use and transportation. As a urban planning, he devises urban footprint for the tool of evaluation and urban planning, and proposes five place types toward mixed-use development, and advocates Transect for eco-friendly land use. As a urban design, he devises urban network model for transportation network based on accessibility, and devises TOD and TOC model for preventing urban sprawl and mitigating carbon emissions, and advocates TND model for pedestrian-friendly space and community life. He makes importance of urban design. Because he thinks that integrative solution is required to global environment and urban design of integrative characteristic is suitable to preserve global environment. The results of this study are summarized as the followings: First, type classification of urbanism for the preservation of global environment and grasping purposes, methods, characteristics according to the types. Second, grasping characteristics and location of Peter Calthorpe’s urbanism as a green urbanism. Third, proposing the direction of improvement for our urban planning and design.

      • TOD이론의 발전과 입지효율성에 관한 연구

        The purpose of this study is to analysis the concept of location efficiency, a base for the qualitative evaluation of TOD, and to propose the method of urban design for the improvement of location efficiency. Because of the environmental crisis by urbanization, sprawl and global warming, the importance of the solution through TOD has been increasing. For the future development of TOD, it becomes important to evaluate TOD qualitatively. From the study, it is grasped that location efficiency contains the concepts of value recapture, QoL and choice, financial return, and efficient regional land use and patterns. And the method of urban design for location efficiency is proposed as the followings: Form Based Zoning as land use plan, TOD and TOC model as node function, and street systems, mixed-use development, characteristic housing with various types, and networking of neighborhood facilities as place function.

        도시방재력 강화를 위한 재해 리스크 커뮤니케이션에 관한 연구 -리스크 커뮤니케이션의 도구로서 해저드 맵의 활용을 중심으로-

        본 연구의 목적은 한국 도시의 방재력 강화를 위하여 리스크 커뮤니케이션의 중요성과 방법을 고찰하고 리스크 커뮤니케이션의 도구로서 해저드 맵의 활용 및 개선의 방법을 제안하는 것이다. 한국과 일본의 해저드 맵을 비교 평가하고, 최근 일본에서 활발하게 실천되고 있는 방재 맵 만들기 사례를 분석하였다. 연구의 결과, 한국에서 작성되고 있는 해저드 맵의 활용 및 개선을 위한 5가지 안이 도출되었고, 리스크 개념의 사회적 확산이 도시 방재력 강화에 커다란 도움이 될 수 있다는 것이 파악되었다. The purpose of this study is to propose the methods for utilization and improvement of hazard map as a tool of risk communication, through the studying the importance and method of risk communication for the improvement of urban resilience. The comparative evaluation between hazard maps of Korea and Japan is done, and the cases of hazard map making is analyzed. 5 proposals are summarized for hazard map utilization.
