성인 학습자의 자기결정성, 학습열의, 교육만족, 참여지속 행동의도 간의 구조적 관계 분석

성인 학습자의 참여 지속성은 평생학습의 성패를 좌우한다. 이 연구는 학습 상황에서 성인 학습자의 자기결정성, 학습열의, 교육만족, 참여지속 행동의도 간의 구조적인 관계를 분석함으로써 성인학습자들의 참여지속 행동의도의 원인을 설명할 수 있는 구조적 관계를 밝히는 데 목적이 있다. 분석을 위해 평생학습 프로그램을 수강하고 있는 493명의 성인 학습자를 대상으로 기술통계분석, 정규성 검증, 상관관계분석, 확인적 요인분석, 탐색적 요인분석, 구조방정식 모형분석, 매개효과 분석을 실시하였다. 연구결과는 첫째, 학습열의는 자기결정성과 참여지속 행동의도 사이의 관계에서 매개효과를 가지지 않는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 교육만족은 자기결정성과 참여지속 행동의도 사이의 관계에서 매개효과를 가진 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 성인 학습자를 대상으로 한 자기결정성, 학습열의, 교육만족, 참여지속 행동의도 간의 관계에 대한 최종 연구모형은 양호한 모형 적합도를 나타냈다. 이러한 연구결과는 성인 학습자의 학습 참여 지속성에 대한 원인규명의 기초적인 자료를 제공하였다. The purpose of this study was to investigate the mechanism related to academic engagement that can explain adult learners’ behavioral intention. For this purpose, the study analyzed structural relationships among adult learners’ self-determination, academic engagement, educational satisfaction, and behavioral intention. A survey was conducted with 493 adult learners as the subjects of the research. As part of the study, descriptive statistical analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, exploratory factor analysis, structural equation model analysis, and mediation analysis were carried out. The study findings were as follows. Firstly, academic engagement did not have a mediated effect between self-determination and behavioral intention. Secondly, educational satisfaction had a mediated effect between self-determination and behavioral intention. Thirdly, structural equation modeling was adopted to test the relationships amongst the variables. It showed that learners’ self-determination and academic engagement had an influential effect on educational satisfaction and behavioral intention. Based on these results, the study will summarize what the empirical evidences are for the effect of academic engagement and suggest areas for future research.

평생교육은 교육에서 소외된 집단들에게 제2의 기회를 주는 것으로 시작되었다. 평생학습에 대한 연 구는 많이 이루어지고 있으나, 소외된 지역에 대한 연구는 많지 않다. 이 연구는 경기도 양평군의 평 생학습 생태계를 진단하고, 평생학습도시 구축 방안을 제시하는 데 목적이 있다. 구체적인 연구 문제 는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 양평군의 평생교육 기관에 근무하는 실무자들이 생각하는 평생교육 프로그램의 문제점 및 개선방안은 무엇인가? 둘째, 양평군 주민들의 평생교육에 대한 인식도와 요구 특성들은 무 엇인가? 셋째, 이러한 문제들을 해결하는 데 필요한 평생교육 조직의 체계는 어떠한가? 이를 위해 관 련 기관 실무자들과 주민들을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였고, Weisbord의 6Box 모델을 사용하여 양 평군의 평생교육 기관 및 하위 조직들을 진단하였다. 분석 결과, 첫째, 평생교육기관 관계자들은 양평 군의 물리적 자원 환경에 가장 긍정적인 평가를 하였으며, 그 다음으로 학습자 서비스 및 활동에 대해 서도 긍정적인 평가를 한 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 양평군 지역주민들의 평생교육 인지도와 참여도는 매우 높은 것으로 나타났다. 지역주민들은 평생교육을 하는 이유 중 학습지향에 가장 높은 응답률을 보였다. 셋째, 6Box 모델을 통해 분석한 평생교육 조직 체계는 양평군의 지역적 특징인 농업과 자영업 을 토대로 한 4050세대의 취·창업 및 직업교육 활성화와 평생교육법상의 평생교육 행정조직인 평생학 습팀, 집행기구인 평생교육센터, 심의협의 기구인 평생교육협의회의 정착 방안이 마련되어야 한다는 시사점을 남겼다. Lifelong education began with educational support for the marginalized. Minimal research of alienated areas from the national benefit of lifelong learning are found while abundant of research on lifelong learning can be found? This study aims to diagnose lifelong learning ecosystems and explore the development plan for building a lifelong learning city in Yangpyeong. In order to answer the research questions, Weisbord’s 6Box Model was adopted to diagnose lifelong learning institutions and subsystem of Yangpyeong, and parties of lifelong learning institutions and residents responded to a survey. According to the results: First, persons in lifelong education rated the most positive physical resources environment of Yangpyeong, then the services and activities for the learner was scored the next highest. Second, awareness and participation of residents in the lifelong learning appeared to be very high. Third, residents responded with the highest rate in the learning-oriented motives. The results suggest the following to expand Yangpyeong’s lifelong learning opportunities: First, redefining of lifelong learning system tailored to the physical and cultural resources environment; Second, re-organizing training programs in accordance with the residents of awareness; Third, providing liberal arts and discipline-centered education programs.
