The purpose of this experimental study examine the structural performance of RC columns reinforced with CFS and FGRTP, a kind of high strength fiber. This experimental study have two parameters of the way confined (carbon fiber sheets, fiber glass reinforced thin plate) and steel ratio(1.57%, 3.08%, 5.09%,). The CFS can be made very thin, resulting in flexibility sufficient for them to be wrapped around circular as well as rectangular columns. As well as ductility of column strengthened with sheet also increase from the confinement effect by FGRTP. While non-FGRTP later confinement specimens appeared sudden failure after shell concrete was tom off, specimens confined laterally with FGRTP were showed that their failure, flexibility and strength enhancement. The objective of experimental study is to evaluate the strengthening effects of concrete compression confined with carbon fiber sheets and FGRTP(Fiber Glass Reinforced Thin Plate).
