All manufactured parts and tooling have unavoidable variations from their nominal shapes. During assembly, compliant parts are further deformed by relatively rigid assembly tooling. Lack of Knowledge regarding variations and deformations often results in expensive problems. Most current computer-aided design systems are based on ideally sized, ideally located and rigid geometry. This paper proposes a model for the assembly of compliant, non-ideal part. We start by defining tolerance analysis as the process simulation which is the variation of a product or a subassembly when given the tolerance of required parts. Analysis is then done by finite element analysis and using the material properties of the actual parts to be assembled. Using the result, the weld process is estimated.

Ductile Fracture of Dual Pase Steel begins with void nucleation, at Martensite-Ferrite interface or deformed Martensite particle. In this study void nucleation, void growth, void volume fraction and void coalescence at given strain were studied in dual phase steel. Therefore, by means of the heat treatment of low corbon steel the study deal with void nucleation and void growth for ferrite grain sizeof dual phase steel. Void nucleaton and void growth with increasing strain are shown depend upon the ferrit grain size. The number of voids and volume fraction of voids generary increase as ferrite grain size decrease. At the close to fracture the void coalescence in the direction of the applied tensile stress, but near the fracture surface they linked in direction transverse to the tensile axis.

SEAT(Seat Effective Amplitude Transmissibility) index is used to evaluate a ride comfort under a vehicle driving condition. The objective evaluation methodology using several accelerometers is proposed to derive objective index which is more reasonable than subjective evaluation. Moreover, CAE (Computer Aided Engineering) methodology is proposed to obtain simulation results using the measured acceleration data at seat mountings as input conditions to seat system assembly. Finally, several case studies are conducted for maximizing a ride comfort using CAE model.
