      • 河川貨物運搬船의 船體抵抗과 推進에 對하여

        In recent days, many manufacturing factories have been established and operated along riversides or on sea coasts. In consequence there of, modern inland vessels with their small draught but large carrying capacity have been developed to operate as a single unit or in convoy with a barge. Knowledge on the behaviour of inland cargo vessels in shallow water exists presumably in U.S.A., U.S.S.R., and West Germany Literature available on this subject is quite limited. Model tests were carried out, both in calm water and in waves to obtain hull lines, which not only improve the seaworthiness of inland vessels but also permit to run in convoy with other vessels on inland waterways. The result, which to some extent have also been tested in full scale, are entirely satisfactory. This paper discribes the resistance of some newly developed inland water cargo vessels.

        In dealing with flow situation in open or closed-channel flow, the so-called "one-dimensional" from of analysis is frequently used. The whole flow is considered to be one large stream tube with average velocity V at each cross section. The kinetic energy per unit weight given by V^2/2g, however, is not the average of v^2/2g taken over the cross section. It is necessary to compute a correction factor α for v^2/2g, so that αV^2/2g is the average kinetic energy per unit weight passing the section. In this paper, the correction factor α in a square sectional tube flow is studied.

      • 機械工學敎育科 敎科課程 改善에 關한 硏究

        Change of the society owing to the national economic progress requires the reform of the education to produce qualified technical high school teachers in the university. In response to this need, the study on the curriculum for the mechanical engineering education in the university is inevitable. Currently, the curriculum requires 160 credits for graduation which are composed of 32 credits for the general subjects, 26 credits for the engineering basic subjects, 22 credits for the pedagogic subjects, and 80 credits or the major subjects. The study is limited only to the organization of the major subjects. As a result of this study, the new curricuiculum is presented and following conclusions are obtained; 1) Basic subjects is the major consolidated. 2) Separated courses for elective subjects are unified into one. 3) 80 credits for she major convist of 40 credits of required subjects and 40 credits of electives. 4) Theory and practice in the major subjects have proportions of 60 and 40 in classhour respectively. 5) To supplement the practice, field practice is systemtized and intensified its duration up to 2 months, but no credits are necessarily assigned to it.

        In recent days, many manufacturing factories have been built and operated along the riversides or on the sea coasts. Nowadays, large quanties of materials are carried by inland vessels. In consequence thereof, the forms of modern inland vessels with their small draught but large carrying capacity seaworthy to run as a single unit of in convoy with barges have been developed. Model tests were carried out, to obtain hull lines, which not only improve the seaworthiness of inland vessels but also permit the same to run in conoy with other vessels on inland waterways. This paper discribes the characteristics of some newly developed inland water cargo vessels.

      • 한국연안 동력어선의 추진기에 관한 연구

        In Korea there are about 67,700 fishing boats accounting to 451,800 tons in gross tonnage at the end of 1972. The boats of the size under 50 G. T., about 48 percent of the total tonnage, are utilized in coastal and inshore fishing, and their contribution to the total production of Korean fisheries is estimated at over seventy-five percent. About 46 percent, 8777, boats amounting to 129, 390 gross tons, of the coastal and inshore fishing boats are those of the size ranging 5 G. T. to 30 G. T., which are engaged mostly in drift and gill-netting, angling, long lining, anchovy seining, and squid fishing. The important fishing boats forming main structure of the inshore fishing fleets can be classified as 5 G. T-class multi-purpose boats, 10 G. T.-class angling-long lining boats and 20 G. T-class drift gillnetters mostly utilized in the east sea, 15 G. T-class anchovy seiner in the south-sea, 20 G. T and 28 G. t-class stow-netters in the west sea. Each of three regions, south, east and west, of Korean waters has distinctly different characters from one another in topography, geology and sea aspects. Hence, the fishing boats in each sea region have also their own characters in hull form, structural features, deck design and equipment. This report deals with the characteristics of the stow-netters from view points of propulsion.

      • 韓國沿岸漁船의 主要치수와 有效馬力과의 關係에 對하여

        Korea is surrounded by the east, south and west seas. Each of three sea regions has distinctly different characters each other in the field of topography, geology and sea aspects. Hence, the fishing boat in each sea region have their own characters in hull form, Structural features and equipment. Korean inshore fishing boats, however, can roughly be classified into 5G.T. class multi-purpose boats, 10 G.T. class angling-long boats, 20 G.T. class drift gill-netters and 27 G.T. class stow-netters. The 20 G.T. class drift gill-netters are mostly operated in the east sea and 27 G.T. class stow-netters in the west sea. In this report, after examining the characters of hull dimensions, the author tried to find out how the various coefficients influence on the effective horse power of boats.

      • 統計 解析法에 依한 韓國 沿岸動力 漁船의 有效 馬力 算定式에 關한 硏究

        The Korean inshore fishing boats can roughly be classified into 5 G. T. class multipurpose boats, 10 G. T. class angling-longlining boats, 20 G. T. class drift gill-netters, and 27 G. T. class stow-netters. The 20 G. T. class drift grill-netters are mostly operated in the east sea and 27 G. T. class stow-netters in the west sea. In this paper, the author tried to find some formula about the effective horse power and speed of typical 4 kinds of Korean inshore fishing boats. After getting formula, the author tried to find the characteristics in relation with the effective horse powers and speeds of the boats, and compared one with another.

      • 造船工學科 敎育課程 開發硏究

        The area of Naval Architecture is expected to become more technical and varied than ever before because a general acquaintance with a marine engineering is required by the department of Naval Architecture like in advanced countries. At this time when there is a very urgent need for the cultivation of engineers to meet this situation, this paper aims at suggesting a new education curriculum model for Naval Architecture based on the ncessity described above. To achieve the above stated purpose, the curricula now followed in korea universities are reviewed and their negative factors are indicated in this paper.
