中国観光スポットにおける外国語訳について -日本語訳を中心に-

중국에는 관광지의 최고급 레벨로 규정된 5A급 관광지가 300곳 이상에 달하고 매년 수많은 국내외 관광객들이 여기로 찾아온다. 그러나 유감스럽게도 이들 관광지의 안내문과 소개 등의 외국어 번역에는 틀렸거나 이상한 번역이 너무도 많고 관광객들에게 오해나 불편을 끼칠 우려가 적지 않다. 이 논문에서는 중국의 유명한 관광지 3곳의 5개 문장의 중일 번역문의 틀린 번역과 적절하지 않다고 여겨지는 문제들의 일부를 들어 오역과 오용 분석을 시도했다. 분석 결과 특히 어휘의 틀린 사용과 복문(複文)의 경우 전후 구절이나 문장이 잘 맞물리지 않는 오용이 많다는 점이 두드려졌다. 그 이유의 하나로는 중국어와 일본어에서 모두 한자를 사용하고 있기 때문에 중국어의 어휘나 표현을 그대로 일본어에 옮겨 쓰고 있다는 점을 들 수 있다. 다른 한편, 구절과 구절, 문장과 문장이 제대로 맞물리지 않는 점도 어는 정도 중국어의 문장 구조의 영향이라고 볼 수 있다. 또한 지방 행정 부분의 번역 담당자나 실제로 관광지의 번역을 맡은 번역가들의 무책임도 이러한 오역이나 오용을 초래할 수 있는 원인의 하나라고 볼 수 있다. The number of 5A scenic spots in China, which are designated as the highest level of tourist attractions, has risen to more than 300, and a large number of domestic and foreign tourists come to visit them every year. However, there are too many errors in foreign language translation such as guides and introductions of such tourist attractions, and in some cases, there are many possibilities that hinder tourists" understanding of their contents. This paper selects five Chinese-Japanese translation errors and inappropriate Japanese expressions in three famous tourist attractions in China, and attempts to make a detailed mistranslation and misuse analysis of the full text. The results show that, especially the misuse of words is obvious. In the case of complex sentences, there are many errors that the former clause and the latter clause cannot echo smoothly and continuously. This is because both Chinese and Japanese belong to the same circle of Chinese characters, and translators unconsciously bring Chinese words and expressions into Japanese. Furthermore, the unsmooth cohesion between clauses and between sentences also causes a lot of negative transfer in Chinese. In addition, the irresponsibility of Chinese local administrative departments and appointed translators is also considered to be one of the important factors leading to these kinds of translation errors
