Stiffness Improvement of Aerostatic Bearing by Separating-Pad-Based Passive Compensation

Haidong Hu,Youmin Rong,Hao Wu,Yu Huang 한국정밀공학회 2023 International Journal of Precision Engineering and Vol.24 No.1

With the development of ultra-precision machining technology, the aerostatic bearings with high stiffness are needed urgently. This paper proposes a new aerostatic bearing structure with split design, which can passively compensate the load displacement caused by the change of film thickness through the pressure feedback of the shell. The static characteristics of the bearing are analyzed by computational fluid dynamics analysis and fluid–structure interaction simulation. The effectiveness of the structure is verified by comparative experiments. The results show that the static stiffness of the bearing is improved by 171% within a certain load range, the dynamic stiffness is increased by up to 30% under low frequency excitation and capacity is better than that of the conventional aerostatic bearing.

Protective Effects of Green Tea Polyphenol Against Renal Injury Through ROS-Mediated JNK-MAPK Pathway in Lead Exposed Rats

Wang, Haidong,Li, Deyuan,Hu, Zhongze,Zhao, Siming,Zheng, Zhejun,Li, Wei Korean Society for Molecular and Cellular Biology 2016 Molecules and cells Vol.39 No.6

To investigate the potential therapeutic effects of polyphenols in treating Pb induced renal dysfunction and intoxication and to explore the detailed underlying mechanisms. Wistar rats were divided into four groups: control groups (CT), Pb exposure groups (Pb), Pb plus Polyphenols groups (Pb+PP) and Polyphenols groups (PP). Animals were kept for 60 days and sacrificed for tests of urea, serum blood urea nitrogen (BUN) and creatinine. Histological evaluations were then performed. In vitro studies were performed using primary kidney mesangial cells to reveal detailed mechanisms. Cell counting kit-8 (CCK-8) was used to evaluate cell viability. Pb induced cell apoptosis was measured by flow cytometry. Reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation and scavenging were tested by DCFH-DA. Expression level of tumor necrosis factor-${\alpha}$ (TNF-${\alpha}$), interleukin-1-${\beta}$ (IL-1-${\beta}$) and IL-6 were assayed by ELISA. Western blot and qPCR were used to measure the expression of ERK1/2, JNK1/2 and p38. Polyphenols have obvious protective effects on Pb induced renal dysfunction and intoxication both in vivo and in vitro. Polyphenols reduced Pb concentration and accumulation in kidney. Polyphenols also protected kidney mesangial cells from Pb induced apoptosis. Polyphenols scavenged Pb induced ROS generation and suppressed ROS-mediated ERK/JNK/p38 pathway. Downstream pro-inflammatory cytokines were inhibited in consistency. Polyphenol is protective in Pb induced renal intoxication and inflammatory responses. The underlying mechanisms lie on the antioxidant activity and ROS scavenging activity of polyphenols.

Biosorption mechanism of Zn from aqueous solution by spent substrates of pleurotus ostreatus

        XiaoJing Hu,JuanJuan Qu,LiLong Yan,Haidong Gu,TingTing Zang,Yu Jin 한국화학공학회 2014 Korean Journal of Chemical Engineering Vol.31 No.11

To solve the problem of heavy metal pollution and agricultural wastes reclamation, spent substrate of pleurotusostreatus (SSPO) was used as adsorbent to remove Zn2+from aqueous solution. The biosorption of zinc ions on SSPOwas studied as a function of the solution pH, temperature and initial Zn2+concentration. The equilibrium sorption datawere well represented by linear Langmuir isotherm models with R2value of 0.9955 and non-linear Freundlich withR2value of 0.9973. The BET surface area of SSPO can reach 51.16 m2g−1. SEM-EDX and XRD revealed that (NH4)2Zn·H2O and Zn2PO4(OH) were the main compounds in metal-loaded SSPO. FTIR analysis indicated the governing func-tional groups such as O-H, N-H and P=O played an important role in biosorption. The desorption studies showed thereversibility of SSPO. The results indicate that SSPO is a potential adsorbent in wastewater treatment due to its greatsorption capacity and low cost.

Expression level of tumor necrosis factor- (TNF-), interleukin-1- (IL-1-) and IL-6 were assayed by ELISA. Polyphenols scavenged Pb in-duced ROS generation and suppressed ROS-mediated ERK/JNK/p38 pathway. Downstream pro-inflammatory cytokines were inhibited in consistency. Polyphenol is protective in Pb induced renal intoxication and inflammatory responses. The underlying mechanisms lie on the antioxidant activity and ROS scavenging activity of polyphenols.

Determination and Variation of Core Bacterial Community in a Two- Stage Full-Scale Anaerobic Reactor Treating High-Strength Pharmaceutical Wastewater

( Haijun Ma ),( Lin Ye ),( Haidong Hu ),( Lulu Zhang ),( Lili Ding ),( Hongqiang Ren ) 한국미생물생명공학회(구 한국산업미생물학회) 2017 Journal of microbiology and biotechnology Vol.27 No.10

Knowledge on the functional characteristics and temporal variation of anaerobic bacterial populations is important for better understanding of the microbial process of two-stage anaerobic reactors. However, owing to the high diversity of anaerobic bacteria, close attention should be prioritized to the frequently abundant bacteria that were defined as core bacteria and putatively functionally important. In this study, using MiSeq sequencing technology, the core bacterial community of 98 operational taxonomic units (OTUs) was determined in a twostage upflow blanket filter reactor treating pharmaceutical wastewater. The core bacterial community accounted for 61.66% of the total sequences and accurately predicted the sample location in the principal coordinates analysis scatter plot as the total bacterial OTUs did. The core bacterial community in the first-stage (FS) and second-stage (SS) reactors were generally distinct, in that the FS core bacterial community was indicated to be more related to a higherlevel fermentation process, and the SS core bacterial community contained more microbes in syntrophic cooperation with methanogens. Moreover, the different responses of the FS and SS core bacterial communities to the temperature shock and influent disturbance caused by solid contamination were fully investigated. Co-occurring analysis at the Order level implied that Bacteroidales, Selenomonadales, Anaerolineales, Syneristales, and Thermotogales might play key roles in anaerobic digestion due to their high abundance and tight correlation with other microbes. These findings advance our knowledge about the core bacterial community and its temporal variability for future comparative research and improvement of the two-stage anaerobic system operation.
