        예비 생물교사들의 ‘좋은 과학교과서’에 대한 가치지향 탐색 - 모의 과학교과서 선정위원회 활동 사례를 중심으로 -

        The purpose of this study was to investigate the pre-service biology teachers’ value orientation on science textbook. In specific, we focused on perception on role of science textbook in science classroom and value orientation on ‘good science textbook. The data was gathered from 35 pre-service teachers who have major in biology education using two open-ended questions about the role of science textbook and ‘good science textbook’ after mock science textbook selection committee. Through constant comparative analysis, qualitative data was analyzed. Our findings showed that pre-service biology teachers’ perception on the roles of science textbook were divided into major three types of roles; role for knowledge, class, and learners. And participants perceived good textbook as 1) interesting textbook, 2) textbook that help self-directed learning, 3) textbook that contains various educational evaluation, 4) textbook that reflects curriculum well, 5) textbook that helps students’ self-development, or 5) text book that have read-ability with neat design. Based on these findings, this study suggested that pre-service teacher education is needed for development of professional vision on textbook considering variety of teachers’ value orientation and perception on textbook.
