        The History of the Korean Science Curriculum and the Introduction of the Present 2015 Science Curriculum

        The purpose of this study is to identify the history of the science curriculum in Korea and to review the science curriculum launched in 2015. Science has become an independent subject from the secondary curriculum for the purposes of developing Korean industry. The third curriculum was published by revising the second curriculum and adding an academic focus. The third curriculum was revised to create the fourth curriculum by introducing the notion of a human-centered curriculum, which is mainly influenced by the philosophy of human-centered and constructivist ideas. The sixth curriculum, and the curriculum that followed, addressed the confluence of science-technology-society (STS) as the main idea underpinning science education. In 2015, the Ministry of Education revised the curriculum by reflecting national and social needs in the school curriculum, with the aim of changing future society. The vision of the 2015 revised curriculum can be summarized as “cultivating the creative convergence competences required for future society” and “implementing interesting learning through improving the quality of learning experiences.” The 2015 science curriculum is divided into two parts: the common curriculum and the elective curriculum. In this paper, the details of the 2015 science curriculum are reviewed.

        생물 전공자와 비전공자의 진화에 관한 개념, 흥미, 수용 및 종교성에 관한 연구

        The understanding of evolutionary concepts is an essential component in biology playing a crucial role in unifying biological concepts and providing an explanatory framework. This study aims to compare biology major with non-major college students in conceptions, interest, and the acceptance of evolution related with religiosity, in order to verify the expertise of biology major students. Participants included 141 biology major and 142 non-major students (major in humanities and social sciences). Multiple choice questions were utilized for studying the conceptions of evolutionary mechanisms, while Likert type questions were employed for studying religiosity, and the interest in and the acceptance of evolution. The results indicated there were no significant differences between biology major and non-major college students in the evolutionary conceptions and the acceptance of evolution. Biology majors exhibited lower religiosity and higher interest in evolution than nonmajors. The evolutionary conceptions were significantly correlated with the acceptance of evolution in both groups, however religiosity is negatively correlated with the acceptance of evolution. Based on the results of this study, we suggest a teaching program to improve evolutionary expertise in biology majors which could be designed to differentiate religious perspectives from evolutionary conceptions and to provide examples of plausible evidence for evolution.

        작업조 기반 모델을 적용한 공동주택 골조공사의 현장 노무비 비교분석

        국내의 공공건설공사는 공사규모가 크고 사회 전반에 걸친 파급 효과가 매우 크다. 따라서 예산의 낭비를 최소화하고 신뢰성 있는 적정공사비의 산정은 매우 중요하다. 공동주택 골조공사는 자재와 공법, 다양한 기술이 발전되었지만 노동력의 역할은 어떤 무엇보다도 중요하게 작용하고 있다. 특히 골조공사는 생산성과 품질에 직접적인 영향을 미칠 수 있으므로 인력의 숙련도에 대한 의존이 높게 나타나고 있다. 따라서 개개인의 기술과 능력이 매우 중요하므로 숙련공의 생산성 향상과 합리적인 노무비를 산정할 수 있는 품셈구조와 적산기술을 개선할 수 있도록 새로운 품셈이 요구되고 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 건설공사의 적정공사비를 산정하고 합리적인 노무비를 마련하기 위하여 작업조 기반 모델을 적용한 공동주택 골조공사의 노무비를 현행 표준품셈 적산방식과 작업조 기반 품셈 방식을 비교분석하고자 한다. Public construction projects in Korea are large and have far-reaching effects in the society as a whole. Therefore, it is very important to avoid the waste of the budget for construction works and calculate reliable and proper construction costs. For the framework construction of apartment houses, building materials, construction methods and various technologies have been developed, but field construction workers have played the most essential part. In particular, the framework construction is highly dependent on the proficiency of construction craft workers since it can have a direct effect on the productivity and quality of buildings. In this regard, this study seeks to calculate the proper construction costs of construction works and estimate the reasonable labor costs of construction craft workers. To this end, the workload and labor input in the work process of 1 cycle per floor for the framework construction of apartment houses were analyzed and applied to the existing standards of estimate and work crew-based models to compare labor costs. Although a direct comparison of the labor costs through the existing standards of estimate and work crew-based models has its limitation, it is expected that the reasonable labor costs that can reflect the reality can be provided through a new construction cost calculation model

        학습 도구로서의 서술형 평가 그리고 인공지능의 활용: WA3I 프로젝트 사례

        This study developed WA3I, which is automated computer scoring system in open-ended assessment using artificial intelligent and discuss how to utilize WA3I as a learning-support tool. To do this, previous research dealing with automated computer scoring system has been reviewed and explained the development process of WA3I in Korea. We developed thirty on open-ended questions and collected the students’ responses. Among the 31 questions, nineteen questions showing the high agreement between computer and human scoring were selected and scoring model was developed. In additions to selected nineteen questions, eleven questions were added as the prototype of web-based WA3I ver.1. We discuss how it can be improved in order to facilitate the effective teaching and learning. This paper is expected to give an implication to the science teachers’ assessment plan and practice. 본 연구는 인공지능을 활용한 서술형 평가 문항 자동채점 프로그램 WA3I을 개발하였으며, 이 프로그램이 학습 지원 도구로서 활용되기 위한 방안에 대하여 논하였다. 먼저 컴퓨터를 활용한 서술형 평가 자동채점에 대한 기존 연구들을 정리하고, 본 연구에서 개발한 서술형 평가 자동채점 프로그램 WA3I의 개발 과정을 소개하였다. 본 연구에서는 31개의 서술형 평가 문항을 개발하고 이에 대한 학생의 응답을 수집하였으며, 이 중 컴퓨터와 전문가 채점간의 일치도가 높은 19개의 문항에 대한 자동채점 모델을 개발하였다. 이 자동채점 모델로 채점 가능한 유사 문항 11개를 더 개발하여 총 30개의 문항을 웹상에서 WA3I ver.1 으로 구현하였다. 효과적인 교수ㆍ 학습을 위해 본 연구에서 개발된 서술형 자동채점 프로그램 WA3I ver.1의 개선 과제 및 추후 연구 방향에 대해 논하였다. 이러한 내용은 현장과학교사들의 평가 계획 및 실행에 영향을 줄 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

        집단중심 추세모형을 이용한 과학중점학교 1학년 프로그램이 고등학생들의 과학과 핵심역량과 과학학습동기에 미치는 영향 탐색

        The study was conducted to identify if the first-year program of science-focused school improved students’ scientific core competency and science learning motivation. The first-year program of the science-focused school consisted of basic education in scientific inquiry, investigation, advanced experiment, and basic education in small research. There were a total of 262 participants in the program, and 169 students took three survey tests. Through the analysis of a group-based trajectory modeling, students were differentiated based on similarity of score changes. This study showed that the first-year program of the science-focused school significantly improved students’ scientific core competency and science learning motivation. A group-based trajectory modeling found that about 40∼60% of students saw the effects of the program. The students who chose the humanity track showed effects, while some students who chose the science-focused track did not show effects. A group-based trajectory modeling showed the methodological effects of identifying the change process of individual students. This study identified the positive effects of science-focused school policy statistically and is a meaningful example for analyzing the effectiveness of science-focused school programs. 이 연구는 과학중점학교의 1학년 프로그램이 학생들의 과학과 핵심역량과 과학학습동기를 향상시키는지 확인하기 위하여 진행되었 다. 과학중점학교 1학년 프로그램은 과학탐구 기초교육, 조사 발표, 심화실험, 소논문 기초교육 등으로 구성된다. 프로그램 참여자는 총 262명이며, 설문 검사를 모두 수행한 학생은 169명이다. 집단중심 추세모형 분석을 통해 유사한 점수 변화 보이는 집단으로 구분하였다. 연구 결과 과학중점학교의 1학년 프로그램은 학생들의 과학과 핵심 역량과 과학학습동기를 유의미하게 향상시켰다. 집단중심 추세모형 분석 결과 약 40∼60%의 학생들이 프로그램의 효과를 보았다. 인문 계열을 선택한 학생들 중에서도 효과가 나타나는 학생들이 있었으며, 과학중점 계열을 선택한 학생 중에서도 교육적 효과가 나타나지 않는 학생들도 일부 있었다. 집단중심 추세모형 분석을 통해 개별 학생들의 변화 과정을 확인할 수 있는 방법론적 효과를 확인하였다. 이 연구는 과학중점학교 정책의 긍정적 효과를 통계적으로 확인하였으며, 과학중점학교 프로그램의 효과 분석을 위한 사례로서 의미가 있다.

        중등 학생들의 세 가지 진화적 설명에 대한 수용 문항의 타당도 탐색 및 개념 군집 분석

        This study aims to identify the validity and reliability of the questionnaire measuring secondary students’ acceptance of teleological, use/disuse, and natural selection explanation of evolutionary phenomena. In addition, this study also explores the conceptual clusters of students’ evolution concepts through performing a statistical clustering analysis. Lastly, this study explores the cross-sectional pattern of students’ evolution conception in accordance with students’ academic level. A total of 338 secondary students including 113 middle school students, 105 high school students in humanity track, and 120 high school students in science track participated in this study. A questionnaire consisted of six items about the three evolutionary explanations (teleology, use/disuse, and natural selection) of cheetah, mole, polar fox, rice insect, human brain, and rose were used. The results of several statistical analyses for validity test such as Rasch model analysis indicate that the questionnaire was valid and reliable enough to measure secondary students’ acceptance of three evolution explanations. Moreover, five conceptual clusters were found based on clustering analysis. In accordance with students’ academic level, only acceptance level of natural selection explanation was found an increase, while acceptance level of naïve explanations such as teleology and use/disuse remained stable. This study discusses an effective teaching strategy for evolution concept and the uses of clustering analysis for the research of students’ conception.

      • 여자축구 선수들의 등속성 각근력과 무산소성 운동능력의 상관관계 연구

        The purpose of this study was to investigate correlation between the isokinetic leg strength and anaerobic exercise capacity from Wingate ergometer test in women soccer players. 30 females soccer players performed two exercise test. Anaerobic exercise capacity variables including peak power(WPP), mean power(WMP), peak anaerobic power(WPAP) and peak anaerobic capacity(WPAC) test were analyzed using Wingte cycle ergometer test(30sec) and isokinetic leg strength variables including peak torque(PT), average power(AP) and set total work(STW) were analyzed using Cybex 770 iskokinetic device(60, 90, 180°/sec, 5, 10, 25repetitions, respectively). Isokinetic leg strength variables was calculated by the mean value of both knee(legt and right). The experimental results from this study are the following: There were a significant positive correlation between WPP and WMP and PT of knee extension in comparison with knee flexion. PT of knee extension at 60°/sec had the highest positive correlation with WPP(r=.789, p=.000). And WMP had the highest positive correlation with PT of knee extension at 180°/sec. Also, there were a significant positive correlation between WPAP and WPAC and PT of knee extension in comparison with knee flexion. WPAP had the highest positive correlation with PT of knee extension at 90°/sec (r=.765, p=.000)and WPAC had the highest positive correlation with PT of knee extension at 180°/sec(r=768, p=.000). In conclusion, anaerobic exercise capacity using Wingate test had a significant positive correlation with PT of knee extension. However, because little is known about the correct measurement and evaluation the soccer fitness of women soccer players, it is necessary to study about the improvement of various soccer fitness of women soccer players.
