보육교사와 원장이 인식한 군 어린이집 및 군인가정 양육의 특성

본 연구는 군 어린이집과 군인가정 양육의 특성이 어떠한지를 알아보기 위하여 경기도 P시에 소재한 군 어린이집의 원장 4명과 교사 4명을 대상으로 심층면담을 실시하였다. 연구 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 군 어린이집의 특성으로서 보육교사와 원장은 군의 다양한 운영지원에 대해 만족하고 있으나 군 관리 체계와의 소통에 어려움을 겪는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 군인가정의 특성으로 아버지는 대체로 가정적이고 자녀에게 관심이 많으며 부모참여활동에 적극적인데 비해, 어머니는 양육에 대한 부담과 스트레스가 많으며 어린이집과의 의사소통이 아버지보다 부정적인 방식으로 이루어지는 경향이 나타났다. 또, 영유아는 전반적인 발달에는 일반 가정의 자녀와 차이를 보이지 않으나 놀이행동에 군인 부모의 직업적 특성이 반영되는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 군 어린이집에 대한 이해를 증진시키고 군 보육체계의 강점을 강화시키기 위한 기초 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것이다. The purpose of this study is to investigate the perceptions of teachers and directors on the characteristics of military child-care centers and parenting of military families. In-depth interviews were conducted with 4 directors and 4 teachers working at the military child-care centers in P city, Gyeonggi-do. The results are as follows. First, as to the characteristics of the military child-care centers, teachers and directors are satisfied with the various operational supports of the military, but they have difficulties in communicating with the military management system. Second, as to the characteristics of parenting of military families, the fathers are generally homely, have a lot of interest in their children, and actively participate in child-care center programs. However, the mothers tend to feel the burden and stress of parenting and have negative communication styles with the child-care centers are negative. In addition, the children do not differ from the general children in overall development, but the occupational characteristics of the military parents were reflected in the play behavior. This study can be used as basic data to enhance the understanding of military child-care centers and to reinforce the strength of them.
