        Green Space Arrangement and Planting Structure Improvement Plan of the Apartment Complex for Daegu Metropolitan City

        As the urban population continues to increase, cities grow through the expansion of high-rise and high-density residential areas, which demand good living environments to improve citizens’ quality of life. This study is based on the apartment type proposed by Moon Soo-young(2011) in accordance with the layout pattern of green spaces in three apartment complexes located in Dalseo-gu, Daegu Metropolitan City. The purpose of this research is to discover the causes of the high nutritional rate and successful planting method, as well as to suggest a plan to improve the planting structure(general complex, built apartment). According to the study results, the green area ratio of the study was the highest with 44.7% of the total area, followed by Wolbahil state(center type) with 30.3%, and the Bible Jeongnam Town(type of arrangement around buildings) with 27.3%. Shared facility centers were placed outside the apartment buildings in common with the type of arrangement around the buildings and the type of centering arrangement, and the coverage rate in the apartment complexes increased. There are many underground parking lots in the vicinity of the buildings; the center type of the buildings and the parking lots for the disabled are located underground. In general, residents use the underground parking lot, and the ground greenery ratio is higher than other types. Through the analysis of the facilities in the complex according to the type, we found the cause of high green ratio and good planting method and suggested an improvement plan for the general and constructed apartments. In the general apartment complex improvement plan, it is possible to increase the green area by minimizing the single-story buildings such as the shared facilities center and arranging these facilities in the apartments. The number of entrances is reduced due to the connectivity between underground parking lots. Reducing the area of the road within the complex can reduce the number of green spaces. It is important that water pipes are laid mainly under broad-leaved trees and that the plant structure is multi-layered. In order to estimate the construction of the apartment, we propose a method to construct the green space in three dimensions by using methods such as wall greening and rooftop greening. It is possible to utilize enough spaces to waste through the plant materials. In the plant structure, a cluster planting was arranged and the shrubs and plants were placed in the complex.

        건축시기와 입지환경에 따른 서울시 아파트단지 녹지의 식물 이입 특성

        Apartment complexes, accounting for 58.9% of total housing in Seoul, incorporate a certain percentage of green space, which has the potential to be utilized as part of the urban green network. Providing preliminary data on green space in residential areas, this study investigated the flora of 30 apartment complexes in Seoul, and statistically analyzed differences in native plants, naturalized plants and species diversity according to construction period and location variables of apartments. In total, 188 vascular plant taxa of 63 families, 143 genera, 160 species, 1 subspecies, 24 varieties, and 3 forma, were recorded in 30 target sites. The study identified 142 native plants and 33 naturalized plants, and in one site, identified a protected species of Seoul city, Glechoma grandis (A. Gray) Kuprian. The quantity of plants and species diversity according to the type of apartment complex were statistically significant by the location variable. Apartment complexes which were directly connected to — or had neighborhood parks within walking distance(250m) showed higher number of plants and species diversity compared to those without adjacent neighborhood parks. Since the green space of the apartment complex is continuously managed, there was no succession over time. However, it was found that the migration of vegetation was actively carried out in the green space adjacent to the neighborhood park. When planning a city-wide green network in the future, it may be possible to consider the use of green spaces in residential areas as a 'node'. 서울시 전체 주택 유형의 58.9%를 차지하는 아파트단지는 일정 비율의 녹지를 보유하고 있어 도시 녹지 네트워크의 일부로 활용될 수 있는 잠재력을 가지고 있다. 이 연구는 이러한 잠재력을 가진 주거지역 녹지의 기초 데이터를 마련하고자, 서울시내 위치한 아파트단지 30개소를 대상으로 녹지의 식물상을 조사하고, 아파트 건축시기와 입지환경 유형에 따른 자생식물, 귀화식물, 종다양도의 차이를 통계적으로 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 30개 대상지에서 63과 143속 160종 1아종 24변종 3품종 총 188분류군의 식물이 출현하였다. 이 중 자생식물이 142종, 귀화식물이 33종이었으며, 서울시 보호종으로 지정된 긴병꽃풀이 1개소에서 출현하였다. 아파트단지 유형에 따른 출현 식물 수와 군집의 종다양도는 입지환경에 따른 차이만 통계적으로 유의하게 확인됐다. 녹지와 연접해있거나 도보권(250m) 이내 근린공원을 보유한 아파트단지는 근린공원을 보유하지 않은 아파트단지보다 높은 출현 식물 수와 종다양도를 보였다. 아파트단지 조경녹지는 지속적인 관리가 이루어지기 때문에 시간의 경과에 따른 천이가 나타나지 않았지만, 근린공원과 접한 조경녹지에서 식생의 이입이 활발하게 이루어지는 것을 알 수 있었다. 따라서 앞으로 이 결과를 바탕으로 도시차원의 녹지네트워크를 계획할 때, 일종의 ‘거점 녹지’로서 주거지역의 조경녹지를 활용하는 방안을 고려할 수 있을 것이다.

        그린홈 공동주택의 최적 에너지 공급시스템 설계를 위한 부하 예측 연구

        More than 23% of total nation"s energy is consumed by residential building and 57.2% of Korean people are living in apartment. This study was carried out to two kind of process. First, after selecting one standard apartment, our research team investigate realistic energy consumption. Second, using 3-dimension heat transfer tool(TRISCO RADICON) and building energy simulation tool(Visual DOE) As a result, amount of heating and hot-water energy is composed of above 80 percent in standard apartment. And, after applying high performance technologies to standard apartment, namely, after being green home apartment, total energy consumption is reduced by54.6 percent. Also, because of energy consumption characteristics of green home apartment, for making more high performance green home apartment, especially, we have to figure out effective method to reduce electric and hot water energy.

        친환경 공동주택 인증단지의 실태 및 거주자 만족도 조사에 의한 지표 개선방안 연구

        The purpose of this study is to explore the validity of green building certification and regulations and to improve the design guidelines and green building rating system based on green-certified score, field survey, resident satisfaction survey of green-certified apartment complex. The 6 green-certified apartment complexes in metropolitan area were selected for this study. The findings are as follows ; 1)It found that eco-friendly environment factor has higher correlation with green-certified score and resident satisfaction than the other factors, such as land use and transportation, energy, indoor environment. 2)Defects of unit and outdoor space after occupancy have impacts on the satisfaction for eco-friendly environment factors due to a link between residential satisfaction and satisfaction for eco-friendly environment factors. Thererfore, post management system with relation to green-certified score is required for manage the green-certified apartment complexes consistently. 3)Authors also suggested improvements on community center and facility, pedestrian road in apartment complexes, bicycle parking lot and bicycle road, separating the household recyclables from the garbage, offering the user’s manual, and aquatic biotope and land biotope.

        친환경건축물 인증제를 이용한 거주자 경험 분석에 관한 연구

        Various green building rating systems have been proposed, which can be divided into two main directions; i. identifying relevant rating criteria for green building rating systems; ii. assessing the green building rating systems for the validation. Most studies in this area adopt quantitative methods, so there is a lack of qualitative evaluation of users’ interaction with green buildings. Our research aims to develop a method for evaluating green building performance emphasizing user experience in buildings. In order to evaluate the proposed method, we conducted a case study which evaluated the performance of a Korea’s Green Building Certification Criteria (KGBCC) -certified green apartment. We developed a customized method for visualizing the evaluation effectively and presented the results with a focus on user-oriented factors.

        폭염기 공동주택단지의 녹지 및 필로티 배치에 따른 온도변화 CFD 시뮬레이션 분석 연구

        In urban residential areas, apartment complexes can be heavily impacted by heat waves and other adverse weather conditions creating a need to analyze and reduce any vulnerabilities caused by extreme temperatures, differences in locations and quantity of design elements related to green and Piloti. This study is a comparative analysis of a CFD simulation involving 28 different scenarios of apartment complexes with varying arrangements of green and piling. When a-type was compared, placing pilings increased the average temperature and wind speed within the complex. When b, c, and d types were compared, the top six types that showed the lowest average temperature at the height of 1.5m showed the order of Bc<Bd<Bb<Cd<Cc<Cb, and the temperatures of B and C were the lowest at all heights. The reduction effect of b, c, and d compared to a-type was in the order of Db>B(c>d>b)>C(d>c>b)>Dc>E(b>c>d)>A(d>c>b)>Dd=Fc>G(b>c>d)>F(b>d). The average temperature of the 28 types depended upon the arrangement of green and piling, which resulted in the order of B<C<A<D<E<F. Lastly, the temperature relaxation effect within the complex showed quite a difference depending upon the number and location of pilings and the types of green. In light of these results, some possible design considerations would be to avoid the direction of the main wind, determine when Piloti needs to be placed in appropriate areas due to its impact on the outside air temperature and decide when to add green along with Piloti for its effective temperature reducing effects.

      • 친환경 인증 공동주택의 에너지 관련 평가항목 설계 시공 현황

        With the increase in the demand for sustainable and environmentally-friendly development, Green Building Certification System came into force in 2002. Evaluation parts of Green Building Certification System are divided into land use and transportation, energyㆍresources and environmental impact, ecological environment, and indoor environment. Alloted mark for energy consumption is larger than any other items, thus we can say that this is very important to increase the green building performance. This study aims to analyze the present condition of design and construction for energy in the certificated green apartments. Total 16 certificated green apartments were selected and analyzed. As results, given mark of energy consumption is shown to be insufficient in consideration of allotted mark. In addition, renewable energy use leaves much to be desired.

        기존 설계기준 아파트와 친환경 저에너지 아파트의 LCCO₂ 비교

        In October 2009, the Ministry of Land Transport and Maritime Affairs noticed 'Environment-friendly housing construction standards and performance’ to build energy saving environment-friendly housings (Green Homes) for the reduction of energy consumption and carbon dioxide emission. In this study, the CO₂ emissions were evaluated during the life cycle of the existing apartments which were built in 1980’s and Green Home apartment. LCCO₂ was evaluated by dividing the life cycle into three stages which are construction, maintenance and destruction stage. CO₂ emission from the materials for improving insulation performance was estimated by Input-output analysis. As a result, in 40 year-life cycle of 84 ㎡ apartment, 400.68 T-CO₂ wasemitted from 1980’s apartment, on the other hand 231.02 T-CO₂ was emitted from Green Home apartment.

        친환경 공동주택 인증단지 평가 득점분석을 통한 인증지표 개선에 관한 연구

        Many business enterprises in domestic housing industry are focusing on the development of environment friendly apartments to strengthen the competitiveness by upgrading their company"s image through differentiation of the qualities and satisfying the customer"s needs. The aims to provide improvement of green building rating system through the average score to allotted point ratio analysis of each assessment of KGBCC(Korean Green Building Certification Criteria) certified apartments. For the purpose, statistical research is conducted average score to allotted pont ratio of 198 apartments that are certified by Korea Land and Housing Corporation through SPSS 18.0 program. The result of this are the followings; Generally, green apartments are failed to obtain 10 out of 44 assessment items in of KGBCC certified. Also there are 12 assessment items that are less effective. Therefore, 22 of total assessment items are needed improving. Limitations of the study as follows; The range of this study are targeted green-certified apartments from 2007 to 2010. Thus, this study is not analyzed green certified apartments since 2010. The limits of this study will complement through the follow up studies.

        친환경 인증 공동주택의 에너지 · 자원 및 환경부하 부문 설계 시공 현황 및 분석

        With the increase in the demand for sustainable and environmentally-friendly development, Green Building Certification System came into force in 2002. Evaluation parts of Green Building Certification System are divided into land use and transportation, energy · resources and environmental impact, ecological environment, and indoor environment. Alloted point for the part of energy · resources and environmental impact is larger than any other parts, thus we can say that this part is very important to increase the green building performance. This study aims to analyze the present condition of design and construction for the part of energy · resources and environmental impact in the certificated green apartments. Total 16 certificated green apartments were selected and average scoring rate of each item was evaluated. Items to be improved later are energy consumption (average scoring rate: 35.3%/allotted point: 12.0), grey water use (8.4%/4.0), renewable energy use (7.2%/3.0), rain water use (37.5%/2.0) and built-in wardrobe or storage space (29.0%/1.0) as a descending order of allotted point. Key particulars to be considered were suggested to improve the item of energy consumption. Directions of application were suggested for items of grey water use, renewable energy use, rain water use and built-in wardrobe or storage space.
