경찰공무원의 심리적 복지 수준을 증진하기 위해 과거의 경제, 물질 중심 경찰 복지 개념에 대해 심리적 복지 개념을 새로운 페러다임으로 제시하고 Ryff의 심리 적 복지 척도인 자기수용감, 긍정적 대인관계, 자기주도성, 환경적응, 삶의 목표, 개인의 성장 등 6개의 하위 척도를 활용하여 다음과 같이 실천 중심 심리적 복지 척도를 재구성하였다. 자기수용감에 대응한 척도는 참선수련, 명상, 요가, 긍정적 대인관계에 대응한 척도는 동호회, 친목회, 친구관계, SNS 활동, 자기주도성에 대 응한 척도는 의사결정 경험, 환경적응에 대응한 척도는 스마트폰과 인터넷 활용도, 삶의 목표에 대응한 척도는 노후설계, 경제계획 및 실천 정도, 개인의 성장에 대응 한 척도는 연구 활동 실적이다. 이와 같은 실천 중심 심리적 복지 척도는 경찰공무 원의 심리적 복지 평가에 실천적, 동적 성향을 보다 잘 반영하고 심리적 복지 증진 대안 마련에 유익할 것으로 기대된다. In order to increase police welfare in terms of psychological well being, I proposed to implement a new psychological welfare concept into police welfare, thereby proposing a brand new paradigm. The proposal of new police welfare system based on psychological welfare is based on through analysis of Riff’s six specified measure of psychological welfare, them being self acceptance, positive relations with others, autonomy, environmental mastery, purpose in life, and personal growth. The specific components to help develop these six measures are: self acceptance - zen-meditation, meditation, yoga. positive relations with others – gatherings, friendly meetings, tight friendship, active social networking. autonomy – experience of decision making. environmental mastery – wise usage of smart phones and internet. purpose in life – retirement plan, making economic plan. personal growth – endless research. The above practice based psychological welfare measures deem to be a more realistic direction for police welfare due to the right implementation of the dynamic characteristics more suitable for real time police officers.

The study attempted to explore the dimensionality of mother`s psychological well-being. The major purpose of the study was aimed at establishing the construct validity regarding the instrument of assessing mother`s psychological well-being. Instrument for assessing psychological well-being was developed with 9 variables(sense of control, sense of achievement, sense of confidence, sense of acceptance, sense of intimacy, sense of assistance, sense of immersion, sense of hope, and sense of satisfacion) in 3 dimensions(sense of competency, sense of relation, and sense of improvement) with 4 rating scales of 102 items. After the scale development, the estimates of reliability for the 9-variable scales were Cronbach`s α = .71 .90. The correlation between the two scales, Psychological Well-Being Index(Franldin, 1996) and Psychological Well-Being(Ryff & Keyes, 1995) was .21~25. The subjects were divided two groups by the score of the Mother`s sense of Psychological Well-Being. And the group has hiher score in Mother`s sense of Psychological Well-Being showed the higer score of Perceptions of Parental Role Responsibilities Scale(t=3.24, p=.002)

The purpose of this study is to examine the validity of psychological well-being measurements which is developed by Carol Ryff (1989), for Korean adults, in terms of the structures and amounts of information. The data came from 'Exploring Successful Developmental Factors of Middle Aged' with 1,666 Korean adults aged 30s to 60s. First, Confirmatory factor analysis suggested Ryff's psychological well-being models did not fit well with Korean middle aged adults. Second, item response theory analyses revealed significant variance and limited information for most items for Korean. Only ten among eighteen items provides good amounts of information for psychological well-being of Korean adults. Third, only four sub-dimensions of Ryff's psychological well-being works for Korean adults' well-being structure. This study suggests that development of psychological well-being measurement including cultural characteristics of Korean adults is needed rather than using the measurement which developed for U.S. adults without checking validity.
