      • 호안 미로의 ‘일러스트레이션’에 대한 연구: 트리스탕 차라의 『혼잣말하기Parler seul』, 자크 프레베르의 『복수초 Adonides』 중심으로

        카탈루냐 출신의 화가 호안 미로는 삽화집(livre illustré)의 판화가로서 평생에 걸쳐 약 200권이 넘는 책에 참여했다. 20세기 중후반에 활동했던 대부분의 프랑스 시인들은 모두 미로와 협업했다고 할 수 있을 정도로, 미로는 시에 대한 삽화(illustration)를 제작하는 데에 많은 열정을 쏟았다. 이 연구는 초현실주의 그룹과 함께 화가로서 이름을 알리기 시작하여 점차 구상미술의 틀을 벗어나 자신만의 화풍을 구축해가게 된 호안 미로가, 그와 협업했던 다양한 시인들의 시의 특성에 따라 어떤 차이를 두고 삽화 작업을 했는지 알아보았다. 이를 위해 시의 성격이 서로 확연히 다른 트리스탕 차라의『혼잣말하가Parler seul』(1950)와 자크 프레베르의『복수초Adonides』(1975)를 선정하여, 이미지 재현방식을 분석함으로써 미로의 판화가 시와 맺는 관계를 고찰해 보았다. 본 연구는 궁극적으로 차라와 프레베르 등의 현대시가 모방적 내러티브를 벗어나 시어 자체의 실험을 추구하는 것과 마찬가지로, 미로의 삽화는 텍스트의 내용을 ‘밝게 해 준다’는 전통적인 모방적 일러스트레이션을 벗어났음을 보여주었다. 전통적인 삽화집에서는 텍스트의 내용 이해를 돕는 지시적이고 모방적인 삽화가 ‘지시대상’이라는 공통분모를 통해 텍스트와 관계를 맺었다면, 미로의 ‘일러스트레이션’은 텍스트에 대한 종속을 거부하고 시를 시각적으로 재해석했다고 볼 수 있다. 일러스트레이터로서의 미로를 평가할 때 시를 ‘위해’ 작업하기보다는, 시를 ‘통해서’ 작업했던 화가라고 부를 수 있을 정도로, 그의 삽화는 시각적인 방식의 시 읽기를 제안할 뿐만 아니라 텍스트와 같은 비중으로 작품의 의미작용에 참여하면서 책을 예술적 창작품으로 만들었다고 할 수 있다. The Catalan painter Joan Miró was the engraver of the illustrated books, who worked on more than 200 books throughout his life. Most French poets in the mid-to-late 20th century worked with Miró who devoted a lot of enthusiasm to producing illustrations of poetry. This study investigated how Joan Miró, who began to make his name known as a painter with a surrealist group and gradually built his own style of painting outside the framework of figurative painting, made illustrations according to the characteristics of various poets he collaborated with. To this end, Tristan Tzara's Parler seul(1950) and Jacques Prevert’s Adonides(1975) were selected, and the relationship between Miró's illustrations and the poems was examined by analyzing the image reproduction method. This study ultimately showed that, just as modem poetry such as Tzara and Prevert pursue poetry’s own experiments beyond imitative narratives, Miró’s illustrations went beyond traditional imitative illustrations that “illuminate” the content of the text. While in traditional illustration books, a referential and imitative illustration that helps understand the content of the text was related to the text through ‘the referent’, Miró’s “illustration” refused to depend on the text and visually reinterpreted the poem. His illustrations not only suggested reading poetry in a visual way but also participated in semantic action in the same proportion as text, making the book an artistic creation.

        호안미로 회화를 응용한 젤 네일아트 디자인 연구

        호안 미로의 후기 회화 작품을 응용한 패션 디자인 연구 - 머신 스티칭 기법을 중심으로 -

        In a contemporary society, collaboration between fashion and art have provided various motives for fashion designers in terms of artistic expressions and aesthetic pursuits. Thus, this study selected late works of Joan Miro, and employed water-soluble non-woven fabric to draw patterns incorporating various machine stitching and patchworks. This study intends to apply plasticity observed in Joan Miro’s late painting works to fashion designs, and to establish potential creative fashion design works. Based on the collected data, the study has analyzed various applications of machine stitching and cases in which machine stitching has been actually incorporated into fashion by reviewing web and fashion collections. Moreover, in the study, 6 clothing items were made to review, including 2 pieces of long coat, 2 pieces of one-piece dress, and 2 pairs of tops and skirts. The results are as follows. First, inner world of Joan Miro mirrored in his paintings, seemingly scribble-like lines that are based on nature, symbolized images, plasticity of primitive colors can be utilized, and represent simple and symbolic images. Second, symbolized lines and shapes observed in Joan Miro’s late works are composed of calligraphic lines and geometric shapes such as ellipses, triangles and rectangles, and are thus suitable to be used as motifs for fashion patterns. Third, in an effort to utilize plasticity of colors observed in Joan Miro’s late works, by contrasting achromatic colors, drastic and symbolic meanings can be well represented. Moreover, it is also possible by incorporating a simple silhouette. Fourth, using a machine stitching method, the study has represented the linear plasticity expressed by Joan Miro as if lines were drawn using a brush. Thus, it is expected to develop high-end materials and ultimately to provide opportunities to incorporate fashion and painting.

        호안 미로의 회화 작품 `무제`의 영감에 의한 화예 작품 작품명 : 오래된 향기를 찻잔에 담다

        This research in on the creation of an floral art work based on personal emotion and concepts inspired by Joan Miro`s painting. The researcher experimented various motives based on concepts such as `old thing get renewed`, `past time holds time and memories`, and `aged scent of nature`. And she found out the motives of `Tea Cup`, and `Tea bag by searching around old feeling, nature, circulation, friuts, and fragrance. Visual research of tea stain, tea bag, dried flowers, and stained papers as well as material research on stained wire, mesh, and wires were performed. The first creation in which the researcher restricted colors and variation of flowers to create subtle atmosphere was not natural enough and the researcher created the second version of the work using more colors and flowers. The meaning of this research could be found on that the researcher tried to create floral art work based on the subjective feeling and concepts found inspired by a painting work done by Joan Miro.
