데이터 기반 교육 질 관리 체제 수립을 위한 인식 및 요구조사 : W대학을 중심으로

본 연구의 목적은 데이터 기반 교육 질 관리 체제 수립을 위해 대학 구성원 및 전문가대상으로 인식조사를 실시하고 대학 내 구성원의 요구도를 분석하여 함의를 도출하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 W대학 교직원과 데이터 기반 교육 질 관리 실무를 담당하는 전문가들을 대상으로 인식조사를 실시하였으며, 순위응답분석, 중요도-수행도 등을 분석하였다. 분석 결과, W대학 구성원과 전문가들은 ‘대학 구성원의 이해, 협조 및 참여’를 중요하게 인식하였으며, ‘부서 목표 설정’과 ‘데이터 분석 결과 공유플랫폼 마련’의 우선순위에서는 차이를 나타냈다. 대학 구성원의 과업별 요구도를 분석하여, 시스템 구축, 데이터 수집 및 분석 연구, 적용/환류, 정책연구 측면에서 과업의 중요도는 높으나 수행도가 낮은 집중영역 및 중요도, 수행도가 모두 높은 유지영역의 과업을 도출하였다. 본 연구는 데이터 기반 교육 질 관리의 성공적인 활동이 대학 경쟁력 강화에 필수적임을 인식하고 질 관리 활동을 내실 있게 수행할 수 있는 방향성을 제시하였다는 데 의의가 있다. The purpose of this study is to derive implications by conducting a perception survey on university members and experts to establish a data-driven educational quality management system, and analyzing the needs of university members. To this end, a perception survey was conducted on 157 faculty members of W University and 6 experts who were in charge of data-driven quality management practice, and ranking response analysis, IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis), and correspondence sample t-test analysis were performed. According to the analysis, W University members and experts recognized understanding, co-operation and participation of university members as important, and indicated differences in priorities in setting department s goals and preparing a platform for data analysis results sharing . In addition, as a result of analyzing the needs through differences in the importance and performance of each data-driven quality management task for members of W University, the tasks in the concentration area with high importance but low performance and the maintenance area with high importance and performance were derived in terms of system construction, data collection and analysis research, application and feedback, and policy research. This study is significant in recognizing that successful activities of data-driven education quality management are essential to strengthening university competitiveness, and suggesting a direction for performing quality management activities in a substantial way.

고등교육 경험이 학습역량에 미치는 영향: S대학의 사례를 중심으로

[연구목적] 본 연구는 S대학의 학습역량 분석을 바탕으로 데이터 기반의 고등교육 성과관리 방향성을 탐색하고자 하였다. [연구방법] 학습역량 척도를 S대학의 교육성과 진단도구로 장기적으로 활용할 수 있는지 살펴보고자 신뢰도와 타당도를 검증하였고 다집단 확인적 요인분석을 수행하여 측정의 동일성을 검증하였다. 이후 학습역량의 변화를 살펴보고자 총 9개의 가설을 도출하였고 이를 검증하기 위하여 일원변량분석, 내재된 이원변량분석 및 기술통계 분석을 수행하였다. [연구결과] S대학 학습역량 진단도구의 측정의 동일성이 확보되었다. S대학 재학생은 학년이 올라갈수록 학습역량이 전반적으로 상승하였고 모든 학년의 학습역량이 시간이 지날수록 높아지는 경향성을 나타냈다. 전공계열에 따라 학습역량 성장 수준이 차별적으로 나타났다. [연구의 시사점] 본 연구의 가장 큰 의의는 적절한 데이터를 통하여 대학교육의 질 관리를 실증적으로 검증할 수 있으며 이를 위한 시스템 구축이 필요함을 밝혔다는 데 있다. [Purpose] The purpose of this study was to explore the direction of data - based higher education’s quality management by analyzing the level of learning competency focusing on the case of S university. [Methodology] In order to examine the learning competency scale could be used as a diagnostic tool for educational outcomes of S university over the long term, we examined reliability and validity of the scale and performed multi-group confirmatory factor analysis to verify the invariance of the measurement. Nine hypotheses were built to analyze change of the learning competency and one-way variance analysis, nested two-way variance analysis and descriptive statistics were performed. [Findings] As a result of the study, the measurement invariance of the scale was confirmed. The level of learning competency increased overall as the grade goes up and every grade’s learning competency increased as time goes on. According to the major, the level of learning competency’s change differed. [Implications] This study revealed that the effectiveness of higher education’s quality management could be verified empirically through appropriate data, and that it is necessary to establish a system for this.

The purpose of this study is to investigate the organizational status of outcome management in Korean 4-year universities and explore the key functions and roles of institutional research. To this end, a literature review, an analysis of the current state of 4-year universities nationwide, and three rounds of Delphi surveys with the experts in the field of outcome management were conducted. The results of the study showed that the majority of outcome management organizations in Korean 4-year universities are located under the educational innovation division of the university headquarters. The most emphasized area of outcome management organizations in universities turned out to be the establishment of a feedback system to improve the quality of education. The Delphi survey identified the core role of institutional research as providing the basis to support policy formation and decision-making based on data. The key functions of institutional research were classified as institutional outcomes analysis, learning outcomes analysis, feedback system construction, learning outcomes analysis,data integration and management.
