        Dependence of mark size on STM pulse voltage in heat-assisted magnetic probe recording on a cobalt-nickel -platinum thin film

        This paper presents a method of heat-assisted magnetic probe recording on perpendicular medium. Electrical current from scanningtunneling microscope (STM) is employed as the major heating source. Recording medium is a strongly-coupled CoNi/Pt multilayeredshow that magnetic marks with an average size of 184 nm were formed for voltages above 4 V. A model is built to simulate the formationof magnetic domains in the processing of probe-based magnetic recording. Simulation results agree with experiments well.

        Purification and characterization of a novel immunomodulatory hexapeptide from alcalase hydrolysate of ultramicro-pretreated silkworm (Bombyx mori) pupa protein

        Silkworm (Bombyx mori) pupa protein is one potential source of insect protein for use in food. Immunomodulatory peptides are specific protein fragments that can positively influence human health. Here, we purified a novel immunomodulatory hexapeptide from the alcalase hydrolysate of ultramicro-pretreated silkworm pupa proteinusing Sephadex gel filtration chromatography and reverse-phase high-performance liquid chromatography (RP-HPLC). The peptide sequence was determined by liquid chromatography–electrospray ionization– tandem mass spectrometry (LC-ESI-MS/MS). The results showed that the molecular mass of the purified peptide was 656.17 Da, and the amino acid sequence was Pro-Asn-Pro-Asn-Thr-Asn (PNPNTN). Splenocyte proliferation was 87.35% in the presence of 100 μg/ml of purified peptide. The splenocyte proliferation could be promoted upto 248.4% at 100 μg/ml of PNPNTN after induction by Concanavalin A (Con A). PNPNTN was stable in the presence of the gastrointestinal proteases pepsin and trypsin and at temperatures up to120°C. Taken together, these results show that this novel immunomodulatory hexapeptide from silkworm pupae has potential therapeutic value as an immunomodulatory component of functional food.

        For urban traffic congestion problem, a communication P systems using parallel computing principles congested road-use pricing model, considering congestion charges in the case, the establishment of travelers travel decision algorithm, travelers dynamic evolution in traffic P system, External charging parameters can be adjusted to influence traveler decisions, thereby affecting the whole system evolution. The congestion pricing model based on P system (CPS_ DTAM) of the simulation experiment shows that the algorithm is feasible. This model and particle swarm optimization congestion pricing model (PSO_ DTAM) were compared based on the same parameters; the results show that this pricing model taking into accounts the dynamic decision travelers more in line with the real situation.

        Mesocarbon microbead densified matrix graphite A3-3 for fuel elements in molten salt reactors

        This study aims to provide microstructural characterization for the matrix graphite which molten salt reactors (MSRs) use, and improve resistance to molten salt infiltration of the matrix graphite for fuel elements. Mesocarbon microbeads (MCMB) densified matrix graphite A3-3 (MDG) was prepared by a quasi-isostatic pressure process. After densification by MCMBs with average particle sizes of 2, 10, and 16 ㎛, the pore diameter of A3-3 decreased from 924 nm to 484 nm, 532 nm, and 778 nm, respectively. Through scanning electron microscopy, the cross-section energy spectrum and time-of-flight secondary ion mass spectrometry, resistance levels of the matrix graphite to molten salt infiltration were analyzed. The results demonstrate that adding a certain proportion of MCMB powders can improve the anti-infiltration ability of A3-3. Meanwhile, the closer the particle size of MCMB is to the pore diameter of A3-3, the smaller the average pore diameter of MDG and the greater the densification. As a matrix graphite of fuel elements in MSR was involved, the thermal and mechanical properties of matrix graphite MDG were also studied. When densified by the MCMB matrix graphite, MDGs can meet the molten salt anti-infiltration requirements for MSR operation.

        Modeling errors forming abnormal tool marks on a twisted ruled surface in flank milling of the five-axis CNC

        The complex surface machining quality is related to the capacity of the control system, servo drive and mechanical transmission infive-axis CNC machining. The unsuitable parameters result in surface contour errors and other processing abnormal phenomena such astool marks and corrugated surface. In this paper a twisted ruled surface in flank milling is analyzed. The construction features of surfaceand the tool path characteristic of the specimen are listed. The surface cutting velocity is deduced considering the constraints of the acceleration,jerk and other control parameters and the smoothness is modeled. The individual tracking error acquired from servo feed systemmodel is converted to the contour error by homogeneous transformation matrix and Frenet frame, and abnormal tool marks in flank millingare suggested. The cutting experiments conform to simulation; the effect of the dynamic indicators of the CNC machine tool is exploredby the abnormal marks on the machined parts. This approach provides a support for designing specimens and investigating machinetool dynamics performance in working accuracy test.

        Burn-resistant Coatings Lubricated on the Surface of Titanium Alloys

        Conventional titanium alloy may be ignited and burnt in conditions of high temperature, high air pressure, and high gas flow velocity. In the present study, burn-resistant coatings have been lubricated by using double glow plasma surface alloying technology. Alloying elements Cr, Mo, and Cu were induced into Ti6Al4V and Ti6.5Al0.3Mo1.5Zr0.25Si substrates through double glow discharged plasma processing, and Ti-Cr, Ti-Mo, and Ti-Cu burn-resistant alloy layers were formed on the surface of the Ti6Al4V and Ti6.5Al0.3Mo1.5Zr0.25Si alloys. The depth of the surface burn-resistant alloy layers could exceed 200 μm and the alloying-element component could reach 90%. Burn-resistant performance experimental results show that if the Cr component(wt%) is over 14%, the Cu component is over 12%, and the Mo component is over 10% in the alloying layers, ignition and burn of titanium alloy are effectively avoided.
