      • NUMERICAL SIMULATION AND PREDICTION OF NEGATIVE STORM SURGE IN THE YANGTZE RIVER ESTUARY

Zeng Hao Qin,Yi Hong Duan,De Bao Hu,Mao Xing Gong 한국해안해양공학회 1999 학술강연회 발표논문초록집 Vol.1 No.1

An attempt is made by using both statistical model and multi-layer simplified ECOM-Si model with temperature and salinity effects neglected to investigate numerically the negative storm surge (SS) in the Yangtze River estuary. An operational system for predicting the negative SS are constructed in conjunction of ECOM-Si model with the operational limited-area fine-mesh numerical weather prediction (NWP) model developed by the Shanghai Typhoon Institute(STI).To test the reliability of ECOM-Si model and to understand the computational feature of the model in simulating sea surface elevation, both semi-diurnal tide computation at the river mouth tidal station and numerical SS simulations under the action of idealized easterly and westerly winds are completed. Based on these experiments, a series of negative SS simulations induced by the cold wave, tropical and extratropical cyclones are carried out respectively, in which the objective analysis data of atmospheric forcings on the sea surface are offered by STI NWP model. Case experiments show that the predicted peak negative SS are coincident with the real ones and the phase differences between them are within a acceptable limit. The system is hopeful in operational use for predicting negative SS in the Yangtze River estuary.

Isolation and phylogenetic analysis of hemagglutinin gene of H9N2 influenza viruses from chickens in South China from 2012 to 2013

        Han-Qin Shen,Zhuan-Qiang Yan,Fan-Gui Zeng,Chang-Tao Liao,Qing-Feng Zhou,Jian-Ping Qin,Qingmei Xie,Yingzuo Bi,Feng Chen 대한수의학회 2015 Journal of Veterinary Science Vol.16 No.3

As part of our ongoing influenza surveillance program in South China, 19 field strains of H9N2 subtype avian influenza viruses (AIVs) wereisolated from dead or diseased chicken flocks in Guangdong province, South China, between 2012 and 2013. Hemagglutinin (HA) genes ofthese strains were sequenced and analyzed and phylogenic analysis showed that 12 of the 19 isolates belonged to the lineage h9.4.2.5, whilethe other seven belonged to h9.4.2.6. Specifically, we found that all of the viruses isolated in 2013 belonged to lineage h9.4.2.5. The lineageh9.4.2.5 viruses contained a PSRSSR↓GLF motif at HA cleavage site, while the lineage h9.4.2.6 viruses contained a PARSSR↓GLF at thesame position. Most of the isolates in lineage h9.4.2.5 lost one potential glycosylation site at residues 200–202, and had an additional oneat residues 295–297 in HA1. Notably, 19 isolates had an amino acid exchange (Q226L) in the receptor binding site, which indicated that theviruses had potential affinity of binding to human like receptor. The present study shows the importance of continuing surveillance of newH9N2 strains to better prepare for the next epidemic or pandemic outbreak of H9N2 AIV infections in chicken flocks.

      • Radixin Knockdown by RNA Interference Suppresses Human Glioblastoma Cell Growth in Vitro and in Vivo

        Qin, Jun-Jie,Wang, Jun-Mei,Du, Jiang,Zeng, Chun,Han, Wu,Li, Zhi-Dong,Xie, Jian,Li, Gui-Lin Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2014 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.15 No.22

Radixin, a member of the ERM (ezrin-radixin-moesin) family, plays important roles in cell motility, invasion and tumor progression. It is expressed in a variety of normal and neoplastic cells, including many types of epithelial and lymphoid examples. However, its function in glioblastomas remains elusive. Thus, in this study, radixin gene expression was first examined in the glioblastoma cells, then suppressed with a lentivirus-mediated short-hairpin RNA (shRNA) method. We found that there were high levels of radixin expression in glioblastoma U251cells. Radixin shRNA caused down-regulation of radixin gene expression and when radixin-silenced cells were implanted into nude mice, tumor growth was significantly inhibited as compared to blank control cells or nonsense shRNA cells. In addition, microvessel density in the tumors was significantly reduced. Thrombospondin-1 (TSP-1) and E-cadherin were up-regulated in radixin- suppressed glioblastoma U251 cells. In contrast, MMP9 was down-regulated. Taken together, our findings suggest that radixin is involved in GBM cell migration and invasion, and implicate TSP-1, E-cadherin and MMP9 as metastasis-inducing factors.

Probabilistic Load Flow for Power Systems with Wind Power Considering the Multi-time Scale Dispatching Strategy

Qin, Chao,Yu, Yixin,Zeng, Yuan The Korean Institute of Electrical Engineers 2018 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.13 No.4

This paper proposes a novel probabilistic load flow model for power systems integrated with large-scale wind power, which considers the multi-time scale dispatching features. The ramp limitations of the units and the steady-state security constraints of the network have been comprehensively considered for the entire duration of the study period; thus, the coupling of the system operation states at different time sections has been taken into account. For each time section, the automatic generation control (AGC) strategy is considered, and all variations associated with the wind power and loads are compensated by all AGC units. Cumulants and the Gram-Charlier expansion are used to solve the proposed model. The effectiveness of the proposed method is validated using the modified IEEE RTS 24-bus system and the modified IEEE 118-bus system.

      • Prognostic Factors Influencing Clinical Outcomes of Malignant Glioblastoma Multiforme: Clinical, Immunophenotypic, and Fluorescence in Situ Hybridization Findings for 1p19q in 816 Chinese Cases

        Qin, Jun-Jie,Liu, Zhao-Xia,Wang, Jun-Mei,Du, Jiang,Xu, Li,Zeng, Chun,Han, Wu,Li, Zhi-Dong,Xie, Jian,Li, Gui-Lin Asian Pacific Journal of Cancer Prevention 2015 Asian Pacific journal of cancer prevention Vol.16 No.3

Malignant glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) is the most malignant brain tumor and despite recent advances in diagnostics and treatment prognosis remains poor. In this retrospective study, we assessed the clinical and radiological parameters, as well as fluorescence in situ hybridization (FISH) of 1p19q deletion, in a series of cases. A total of 816 patients with GBM who received surgery and radiation between January 2010 and May 2014 were included in this study. Kaplan-Meier survival analysis and Cox regression analysis were used to find the factors independently influencing patient progression free survival (PFS) and overall survival (OS). Age at diagnosis, preoperative Karnofsky Performance Scale (KPS) score, KPS score change at 2 weeks after operation, neurological deficit symptoms, tumor resection extent, maximal tumor diameter, involvement of eloquent cortex or deep structure, involvement of brain lobe, Ki-67 and MMP9 expression level and adjuvant chemotherapy were statistically significant factors (p<0.05) for both PFS and OS in the univariate analysis. Cox proportional hazards modeling revealed that age ${\leq}50$ years, preoperative KPS score ${\geq}80$, KPS score change after operation ${\geq}0$, involvement of single frontal lobe, deep structure involvement, low Ki-67 and MMP9 expression and adjuvant chemotherapy were independent favorable factors (p<0.05) for patient clinical outcomes.

Interference Alignment Based Transceiver Design in OSG mode of HetNets

( Qin Niu ),( Zhimin Zeng ),( Tiankui Zhang ),( Zhirui Hu ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2015 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.9 No.6

This paper focuses on solving co-channel interference (CCI) issues arising in the open subscriber group (OSG) mode of heterogeneous networks (HetNets). Considering a general framework consisting of arbitrary number of picocells within a macro cell, where the inter-user interference (IUI) is the main CCI to macro user equipments (UEs), while the the inter-cell interference (ICI) is the major CCI to pico UEs. In this paper, three IA based transceiver design schemes are proposed. For macro cell, we uniformly use block diagonalization (BD) scheme to eliminate the IUI. And for picocells, three IA schemes are proposed to mitigate the ICI. The first scheme, named as zero forcing IA (ZF-IA) scheme, aligns the inter picocell interference onto an arbitrary sub-space of the cross-tier interference using ZF scheme. Considering the channel state information (CSI) of the desired channel of pico UEs, the second scheme, named as optimal desired sub-channel selected IA (ODC-IA) scheme, aligns the inter picocell interference onto a certain sub-space of the cross-tier interference, which guarantees the largest channel gain of the desired signal of pico UEs. The third IA scheme, named as maximum cross-tier interference selected IA (MI-IA) scheme, is designed for the system with less receive antennas. The inter picocell interference is aligned onto the space of the strongest cross-tier interference and only the interference on this space is nullified. The complexity analysis and simulations show that the proposed transceiver design schemes outperform the existing IA schemes in the OSG mode of HetNets, and the MI-IA scheme reduces the requirement of the receive antennas number with lower complexity.

      • A Electrochemical Sensor based on Poly (Sulfosalicylic Acid) Film Modified Electrode and Application to Phenol Detection in Oilfield Wastewater

Zengli Xiao,Wenlong Qin,Liangliang Shi 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Smart Home Vol.10 No.6

In this paper, a highly sensitive and selective method based on the poly (sulfosalicylic acid) modified electrode (PSA /CPE) to detect phenol was established. The morphologies and interface properties of PSA film were characterized by scanning electron microscopy and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. It was illustrated that the PSA/CPE had an excellent electrocatalytic ability towards the oxidation of phenol. Meanwhile the influence of parameters such as pH and scan rate effect on the analytical performance of the sensor was evaluated. Moreover, the interference from o-nitrophenol can be neglected. By using differential pulse voltammetry (DPV), linear calibration curves were obtained as 5–175 and 220–555 μmol L−1 for phenol. The detection limits are 2.2 μmol L−1 for phenol. With favorable selectivity and sensitivity, the present method has been applied to the determination of phenol in oilfield wastewater.

      • The Influence of Composite Wave Field Fluctuation Parameters Matching to Permeability of Low Permeability Reservoirs

        Zengli Xiao,Junbin Chen,Xiangqian Du,Wenlong Qin 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Smart Home Vol.10 No.7

There are essential differences in the influence rules of the binary composite wave generated by the combination of artificial resonance wave and hydraulic impulse wave to two-phase fluid flow of low permeability reservoirs porous media oil-water. When the fluctuation parameters of binary composite wave field reaching the optimal matching, the binary composite wave will have a good synergetic effect on two-phase fluid flow of oil-water, and the improvement effect on two-phase fluid flow of low permeability reservoirs oil-water will generate resonance effect which is far more effective than unary wave field. If the fluctuation parameters of binary composite wave field are not matched well, bad synergetic effect on two-phase fluid flow of oil-water will be generated ,not only it can’t raise the improvement effect on two-phase fluid flow of oil-water, but also it will make the improvement effect below unary wave field. Even there will be an inhibition effect on fluid flow of oil-water, which reduces the displacement efficiency and the availability of low permeability reservoirs water injection’s development. By using the indoor fluctuation oil recovery simulation experiment device, the influence rules of displacement vibration wave and hydraulic impulse binary composite wave field to low permeability reservoirs oil-water single phase and two-phase fluid flow feature were studied. The influence rules of amplitude, frequency, work cycle and the other important parameters of composite wave to the permeability of oil-water single phase was intensively studied. Finally the mechanism of the synergetic effect generated by composite wave to two-phase fluid flow of low permeability reservoirs was analyzed.
