        Toremifene, an Alternative Adjuvant Endocrine Therapy, Is Better than Tamoxifen in Breast Cancer Patients with CYP2D6*10 Mutant Genotypes

        Purpose Tamoxifen showed individual differences in efficacy under different CYP2D6*10 genotypes. Our study evaluated the prognosis of tamoxifen or toremifene in hormone receptor (HR)–positive breast cancer patients under different genotypes. Materials and Methods CYP2D6*10 genotypes of HR-positive breast cancer patients were determined by Sanger sequencing, and all the patients were divided into tamoxifen group or toremifene group. Results A total of 268 patients with HR-positive breast cancer were studied. The median follow-up time was 72.0 months (range, 5.0 to 88.0 months). Of these, 88 (32.9%), 114 (42.5%), and 66 (24.6%) patients had C/C, C/T, and T/T genotypes, respectively. Among patients who received tamoxifen (n=176), the 5-year disease-free survival (DFS) rate in patients with C/C and C/T genotype was better than that in patients with T/T genotype, and the difference was statistically significant (p < 0.001 and p=0.030, respectively). In patients receiving toremifene, CYP2D6*10 genotype was not significantly associated with DFS (p=0.325). Regardless of genotypes, the 5-year DFS rate was higher in patients treated with toremifene than in patients with tamoxifen (91.3% vs. 80.0%, p=0.011). Compared with tamoxifen, toremifene remained an independent prognostic marker of DFS in multivariate analysis (hazard ratio, 0.422; p=0.021). For all the 180 patients with CYP2D6*10 C/T and T/T genotypes, the 5-year DFS rate was significantly higher in the toremifene group than in the tamoxifen group (90.8% vs. 70.1%, p=0.003). Conclusion Toremifene may be an alternative adjuvant endocrine therapy for patients with CYP2D6*10 mutant genotypes.

        An accurate and robust adaptive notch filter-based phase-locked loop

        The use of an adaptive notch filter (ANF) is one of the most popular methods to block harmonics in a phase-locked loop (PLL). Existing ANFs suffer from drawbacks such as a low harmonic rejection capability, complex structure or instability. To improve the performance of ANF-based PLLs, an enhanced ANF (EANF) is proposed in this paper. Its structure, filtering characteristics and frequency-adaptive method are analyzed. Multiple EANFs can be easily cascaded and achieve adaptation through a common frequency feedback loop (FFL). A small signal model is provided, and its control parameters are tuned through the symmetrical optimum method. The harmonic rejection capability and stability of the proposed method are confirmed through simulation and experimental results.

        Parametric Structural Calculation of Shield Linings for Large-Diameter Tunnels Based on the Shell-Spring Model

        Structural calculations are essential for segmental lining design, especially in shield tunnels with large diameters. Compared with the conventional 2D structural calculation models, the 3D shell-spring model can explicitly represent detailed structural features such as joints and shields. This study proposes a parametric shell-spring modeling method (PSSMM) that can realize segment typesetting, joint setting, and load arrangement in an automatic and intelligent manner for parametric structural calculation. The PSSMM is applied to a large-diameter tunnel design project for verification. The results show that the PSSMM is feasible for the structural calculation of shield tunnel linings and has advantages over existing methods in modeling efficiency and result visualization. Moreover, the PSSMM can effectively reflect the joint performance effect, which shows that the PSSMM can be adapted to advanced tunnel lining design.

        民族地区高等院校是铸牢中华民族共同体教育的主要阵地之一,然而部分院校在铸牢中华民族共同体意识融入高校教学体系的实践过程中存在认识还不到位、顶层设计不全面、师资和教学场地的匮乏、后续保障机制没有到位等问题。本研究以高校美育课程为研究对象,厘清课程开发中融入铸牢中华民族共同体意识的价值向度,针对当前普遍存在的问题提出了制订顶层设计确立制度保障、发挥环境育人功能、强化隐形教育培养、建立坚持成果导向的课程评价体系持续改进等针对性意见。 Colleges and universities in ethnic areas are one of the main bases for strengthening the education of the Chinese nation community. However, some colleges and universities have problems such as insufficient understanding, incomplete top-level design, lack of teachers and teaching venues, and inadequate follow-up guarantee mechanisms in the process of integrating the consciousness of the Chinese nation community into the teaching system of colleges and universities. This study takes the aesthetic education courses in colleges and universities as the research object, clarifies the value dimension of integrating the consciousness of the Chinese nation community into curriculum development, and proposes targeted suggestions on formulating top-level design to establish institutional guarantees, giving play to the educational function of the environment, strengthening invisible education and training, and establishing a curriculum evaluation system that adheres to the results-oriented approach to continuous improvement.

        Effects of exposure to trace pyriproxyfen on the intestinal bacterial diversity and immune signal pathways of silkworm (Bombyx mori) larvae

        Silkworm (Bombyx mori) is a widely used lepidopteran model insect. Pyriproxyfen is an insect growth regulator (IGR) that can be used to control pests such as lepidoptera and diptera, and there is no research about its in fluence on the intestinal bacterial diversity and immune signal pathway of non-target lepidopteran insect larvae. In this study, we treated fifth-instar silkworms with trace pyriproxyfen (10 − 4 mg/L). The results showed that the abundance and diversity of silkworm larvae intestinal flora at the level of phylum, class, order, family and genus were all changed. The function prediction result showed that the functional changes mainly focused on tran scription, amino acid transport and metabolism, carbohydrate transport and metabolism, signal transduction mechanisms, energy production and conversion et al. after exposure to trace pyriproxyfen. Furthermore, qRTPCR results showed that trace pyriproxyfen exposure activated the transcriptions of antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) genes regulated by Toll and IMD pathways. This research can lay the foundation for the study on the resistance of lepidopteran insects to pyriproxyfen and other juvenile hormone pesticides.
