Phospholipase A <sub>2</sub> β mediates light-induced stomatal opening in <i>Arabidopsis</i>

<P>Phospholipase A<SUB>2</SUB> (PLA<SUB>2</SUB>) catalyses the hydrolysis of phospholipids into lysophospholipids and free fatty acids. Physiological studies have indicated that PLA<SUB>2</SUB> is involved in stomatal movement. However, genetic evidence of a role of PLA<SUB>2</SUB> in guard cell signalling has not yet been reported. To identify <I>PLA</I><SUB>2</SUB> gene(s) that is (are) involved in light-induced stomatal opening, stomatal movement was examined in <I>Arabidopsis thaliana</I> plants in which the expression of <I>PLA</I><SUB>2</SUB> isoforms was reduced or knocked-out. Light-induced stomatal opening in <I>PLA</I><SUB>2</SUB><I>α</I> knockout plants did not differ from wild-type plants. Plants in which <I>PLA</I><SUB>2</SUB><I>β</I> was silenced by RNA interference exhibited delayed light-induced stomatal opening, and this phenotype was reversed by exogenous lysophospholipids, which are products of PLA<SUB>2</SUB>. Stomatal opening in transgenic plants that over-expressed PLA<SUB>2</SUB>β was faster than wild-type plants. The expression of <I>PLA</I><SUB>2</SUB><I>β</I> was localized to the endoplasmic reticulum of guard cells, and increased in response to light in the mature leaf. Aristolochic acid, which inhibits light-induced stomatal opening, inhibited the activity of purified PLA<SUB>2</SUB>β. Collectively, these results provide evidence that PLA<SUB>2</SUB>β is involved in light-induced stomatal opening in <I>Arabidopsis.</I></P>
조선족 이주여성의 자조모임을 통해서 본 초등학생 자녀교육경험에 관한 연구

본 연구는 자조모임에 참여하는 초등학생을 둔 조선족 이주여성 8명을 대상으로 자조모임을 통해서 본 자녀교육 경험을 알아보는데 연구의 목적이 있으며, 2016년 10월부터 2017년 4월까지 6개월 동안 심층면담을 하였으며, 연구의 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 초등학생 자녀교육경험은 한국의 낯선 교육환경에 대한 불안감, 사교육걱정, 자녀들의 정체성 문제로 고민하였으나, 이주여성들은 학부모모임이나 학교 행사 참여, 체류자격의 변경, 직장생활의 유지, 적극적인 사회활동을 통해 극복하고자 하였다. 둘째, 자조모임에서 운영하는 자녀교육프로그램은 자녀들이 다양한 문화를 이해하고, 부모와 자녀간의 문화적 공감대와 관계를 형성하는데도 도움이 되었다. 셋째, 자조모임 참여 이후 이주여성들은 한국의 교육방식과 부모역할에 대해 알아가게 되었고, 자녀교육문제를 공동으로 해결해 나갈 방안을 구상하였으며, 좋은 부모가 되기 위해 올바른 자녀교육관을 정립하여야 함을 알았다. 넷째, 자조모임이 자녀교육에 주는 의미는 부모와 자녀 모두 정서적 쉼터의 역할을 하였으며, 회원들간 녀교육을 위한 소통의 장이 되었다. 즉, 자조모임을 통해 이주여성들은 정보교류와 심리 및 정서적 안정을 가지게 되었고, 자조모임은 이주여성이 안정적으로 한국 사회에 정착하는 데 중요한 역할을 하였다. 위 연구를 바탕으로 제언을 하면, 타민족 이주여성의 자조모임에 대한 연구와 이주여성 자조모임의 운영상황이나 방식, 개선방안 등에 대한 연구가 진행되기를 기대한다. The purpose of this study was to investigate experiences of eight Korean-Chinese migrant women with children going to elementary school through their self-help group for their children s education. For this purpose, in-depth interviews and participation observation were conducted from October 2016 to April 2017, leading to the following conclusion: First, the women found it necessary to attend school conferences, to change visa status, to maintain occupation, and to continue taking part in social activities so that they can avoid deep concern over unfamiliar education environment, expensive private lessons or children s identity crisis. Second, children s education program run by the self-help group activities have been successfully carried out so as to enable them to understand a variety of cultures and to build sympathy and positive relationship between parents and children. Third, the self-help group has brought the parents a new perspective on children s education, Korean way of education, role of parents, new idea to collaborate for better education of their children, and need to establish a right educational philosophy for them to become good parents. Children also became familiar with their mom s culture, confirming their identity and strengthening their ties with peer group, and self-confident with more positive attitude toward learning. Fourth, self-help group provided not only spiritual healing, support and encouragement among members, but also made a platform for communication among members for their children s education. That is, the group offered information exchange opportunity, psychological or emotional security enough to have the women settle down peacefully in Korean society. Future research, bases upon the current research outcome, may be expanded to other nationalities than Korea-Chinese or in-depth research on operation system and scheme to improve existing system of the group meeting.
자율주행 시스템의 Pure-pursuit 알고리즘을 이용한 Path Management 시스템 개발

Research on autonomous vehicles consists of perception, judgement, and control. This paper is about the Ld method of the Pure-pursuit algorithm among the control algorithms based on the kinematic method in the control field. In the process of finding the correct L<SUB>d</SUB> for actual control, an error occurred between the detected L<SUB>d</SUB> value and the correct L<SUB>d</SUB>, and only a part of the path was detected L<SUB>d</SUB>. In order to store only the coordinates to be detected by LD in the path reference, the interval between paths was set very small, and the average interval and error of the detected LD values were calculated. The average interval and error of the detected LD value was proportional to the distance the sensor moved during the period of receiving a new signal, and accordingly, the path interval and path error were set appropriately. In the existing algorithm, the optimal interval and error are determined using the experimental data of the vehicle. The algorithm in this study may be less accurate than the existing algorithm. However, using only the target speed, the period of the sensor, and the minimum turning radius of the vehicle, it is possible to set the distance and the error of the path with high accuracy. Finally, the verification was carried out by directly controlling the autonomous vehicle.
흰쥐를 대상으로 한 양파주의 알코올성 지방간 개선 효과

본 연구에서는 흰쥐를 이용하여 양파주의 섭취가 알코올성 지방간 증상 완화에 미치는 영향을 조사하였다. Lieber-DeCarli 액체 표준식이만 공급받는 동물군을 대조군, 대조군 표준식이의 탄수화물 대신에 에탄올로 열량을 대체한 액체식이를 공급받는 동물군을 에탄올군, 에탄올로 열량을 대체한 식이에 양파주를 추가로 공급받는 동물군을 양파주군으로 설정하여 6주 동안 공급하였다. Lieber-DeCarli 식이공급 전, 3주째 그리고 6주째에 혈액을 채취하였고, 간은 6주째 혈액 채취 직후 적출하였다. 양파주 농축액의 섭취로 인해 혈액의 중성지방과 총콜레스테롤 농도는 에탄올군에 비해 현저히 감소하였다. 혈액의 ALT, AST, ALP 농도 모두 에탄올군에 비해 양파주군에서 감소한 것으로 나타났다. 또한 간 조직의 총지질과 콜레스테롤의 농도 모두 양파주의 공급으로 현저히 감소하였으며, 주요 지방산 비교에서도 대부분의 지방산이 에탄올군에 비해 양파주군에서 농도가 감소한 것으로 나타나 양파주의 공급이 간 조직의 지방산 축적도 억제한 것으로 나타났다. 본 실험을 통해 양파주가 알코올 섭취로 증가한 혈중 지질 수준과 간 기능 지표 수준을 개선하는 효과를 나타냈으며, 지방간 형성이 유의적으로 억제되는 것을 간 조직 지방분석을 통해 확인하였다. 이렇게 개선된 지표들을 바탕으로 양파주의 섭취는 간 조직 보호효과와 알코올성 지방간의 개선 효과를 유도할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. This study was designed to investigate whether consumption of onion wine can reduce serum biomarkers of ethanol-induced fatty liver in rats. Male Sprague-Dawley rats were initially trained for meal feeding to prevent reduction of food intake. After the training period, rats were weight-matched and assigned to the following three groups: 1) a control group fed a control liquid diet containing maltose-dextrin, 2) an ethanol group fed an ethanol liquid diet with 95% ethanol, and 3) an onion wine group fed the same ethanol liquid diet but containing onion wine extract at 1 mL/d/group. All three groups were fed daily for 6 weeks. At 0, 3, and 6 weeks, blood was collected via the orbital sinus following overnight food deprivation and terminally organs collected. Blood lipids and transaminase activities significantly increased in the ethanol-fed group but significantly reversed in the onion wine-fed group. The hepatic levels of fat and cholesterol at 6 weeks were significantly elevated by ethanol administration but significantly reduced by onion wine. These findings indicate that onion wine may ameliorate ethanol-induced fatty liver by lowering hepatic and blood lipid levels.

This paper suggests a localization system architecture of unmanned vehicle for autonomous driving. In this system, Graph SLAM algorithm is used for correction of accumulated errors acquired from scan matching algorithm. On this paper, the experiments are proceeded in environment of mountainous city which have continuous elevations. The acceleration and magnetic data from IMU, RTK corrected GNSS are used for graph optimization and loop closure on mapping. NDT scan matching algorithm is used for localization.

Sensor fusion area are known to great solution for the edge cases of perception system of automated car. This system uses camera and LiDAR on front side of the vehicle and integrated on a coordinate system for the projection. Each point data on image pixel integrated point cloud gets its class by semantic segmentation. This paper suggests a perception system of autonomous vehicle for moving objects by deep learning based image semantic segmentation and lidar points projection to camera pixel image.

<P>Plasma cell leukemia is a rare malignant plasma cell disorder characterized by proliferation of plasma cells in blood and the bone marrow, the outcome of which is poor with conventional therapy. More effective treatment strategies are therefore needed for this disorder. Here, we report a case of secondary plasma cell leukemia from Immunoglobulin D multiple myeloma refractory to doxorubicin-containing chemotherapy and thalidomide. The patient achieved complete remission with bortezomib-containing chemotherapy as follows: bortezomib 1.3 mg/㎡ intravenous infusion on days 1, 4, 8 and 11; cyclophosphamide 750 mg/㎡ intravenous infusion on days 1 and 3; dexamethasone 40 mg/㎡ intravenous infusion on days 1?4. Complete remission was maintained until the fourth course of the treatment, and we then performed autologous peripheral blood stem cell transplantation. Our experience suggests that combination chemotherapy with bortezomib, cyclophosphamide and dexamethasone may be an effective induction treatment for plasma cell leukemia.</P>
