<P>A novel silver/polymer composite with electrical conductivity (2.5 × 10<SUP>5</SUP> S cm<SUP>−1</SUP>) higher than that of bulk tungsten was developed through the addition of a small amount of multi-walled carbon nanotubes decorated with glutaric acid functionalized nano-silver particles (1.5 wt%). Based on mussel-inspired polydopamine (PDA), a novel technique to fabricate carbon nanowire (CNW) arrays is presented for a possible use of porous carbon electrode in electrochemical energy storage applications. PDA can give more porosity and nitrogen-doping effect to carbon electrodes, since it has high graphitic carbon yield characteristic and rich amine functionalities. Using such outstanding properties, the applicability of PDA for electrochemical energy storage devices was investigated. To achieve this, the decoration of the CNW arrays on carbon fiber surface was performed to increase the surface area for storage of electrical charge and the chemical active sites. Here, zinc oxide (ZnO) nanowire (NW) arrays were hydrothermally grown on the carbon fiber surface and then, PDA was coated on ZnO NWs. Finally, high temperature annealing was performed to carbonize PDA coating layers. For higher energy density, manganese oxide (MnO<sub>x</sub>) nanoparticles (NP<sub>s</sub>), were deposited on the carbonized PDA NW arrays. The enlarged surface area induced by carbon nanowire arrays led to a 4.7-fold enhancement in areal capacitance compared to that of bare carbon fibers. The capacitance of nanowire-decorated electrodes reached up to 105.7 mF/cm<sup>2</sup>, which is 59 times higher than that of pristine carbon fibers.
A Nonlinear Transceiver Architecture for Overloaded Multiuser MIMO Interference Channels

<P>A new transceiver architecture for overloaded MIMO interference channels is proposed to fix the rate saturation problem of purely linear beamforming in this case. The proposed scheme is based on a mixture of linear beamforming and multi-user detection. It is shown that non-trivial degrees of freedom can be achieved by the proposed mixed scheme properly dividing the interference signals for linear processing and multiuser detection, and the achievable degrees of freedom of the proposed scheme are obtained. Numerical results show that the proposed scheme outperforms linear beamforming in overloaded MIMO interference channels.</P>
고준위방사성폐기물 관리방안의 주민수용성 결정요인 내용분석

본 논문은 정부가 고준위방사성폐기물 관리방안 수립을 위하여 2015년 실시한 사용후핵연료공론화 주민간담회 녹취록을 내용분석하여 주민수용성 결정요인들 간 상대적 중요성을 분석한 것이다. 본 논문이 방법론적으로 내용분석기법을 차용하였다는 점과 시기적으로 원전시설의 건설단계나 운영단계가 아닌 계획수립단계에 초점을 두었다는 점에서 기존연구와 차별화 될뿐만 아니라 기존 연구를 보완할 수 있을 것이다. 내용분석 결과 지역주민들은 주민수용성 결정요인의 성격별 대분류 유형 중 절차요인보다는 내용요인을 더 중시하고 있었으며, 세부요인 중에서는 경제요인이나 의사소통요인보다는 위험인식요인을 더 중시하고 있었음을 확인할 수 있었다. 정부와 사업자가 원전수용성 증대를 위하여 지금까지의 지원금과 홍보위주 정책보다는 위험인식을 낮추는 정책을 더 강화하여야 한다는 것을 의미한다. This article is regarding the public acceptability of governmental high-level radioactive waste management plans. This article analysed a lot of records of public meetings about the management plans. A content analysis method was employed to analyse the public opinions. An analysis protocol was developed before the content analysis. Three factors(risk perception, economic benefit, communication) were examined in the content analysis. Among the three factors, the most import factor to influence to the acceptability was people’s risk perception. This finding implies that government has to develop policies and programs to decrease risk perception about nuclear power plants and high-level radioactive wastes in order to increase the acceptability. This suggestion does not imply that economic and communication factors are not important in the acceptability and management. Especially, communication factor is a precondition to be satisfied before the government conducts any nuclear related policies including economic factors.
