Fabrication and Characterization of Fluorinated Polyimides (PI) Films with Improved Hydrophobic Property

        Yonghong Peng,Shuai Zhang,Fanghua Zhu,Wa Li,Yong Yi,Kai Du,Qiang Yin 성균관대학교(자연과학캠퍼스) 성균나노과학기술원 2018 NANO Vol.13 No.7

There is a demand for composite films with excellent hydrophobic properties in inertial confinement fusion (ICF) physics experiments. In this paper, we prepared fluorinated polyimide hydrophobic films using spinning and plasma etching methods. The experimental results indicate that the water contact angle for the perfluorodecyltrichlorosilane (PFTS) treatment polyimide (PI) film is 112.0°, which is larger than the pure PI film (69°). The rap oil contact angle is 84.2°, which is also much larger than the contact angle of PI film (12°). Moreover, the surface roughness of the prepared films was measured by white light interferometry (WLI). The surface roughness (Ra) of pure PI is 9.79 nm, but with the application of FSiO2 particles, the Ra of the films increases to 65.05 nm. After plasma treatment, the Ra of the PI/FSiO2 composite film increases to 186.71 nm because plasma treatment can scratch the film surface and increase its roughness. However, treating the PI/FSiO2 composite film with the plasma and PFTS, the Ra is only 88.90 nm. This decrease in Ra is due to the PFTS, which is able to reduce the surface roughness. The development of composite films, compared to pure PI films, could prove to be an extremely valuable material in ICF experiments.

Hypoxia-Inducible Factor 1α Regulates the Transforming Growth Factor β1/ SMAD Family Member 3 Pathway to Promote Breast Cancer Progression

        Jianheng Peng,Xiaolin Wang,Liang Ran,Junlong Song,Rong Luo,Yonghong Wang 한국유방암학회 2018 Journal of breast cancer Vol.21 No.3

Purpose: The transforming growth factor β1 (TGF-β1)/SMAD family member 3 (SMAD3) pathway, and hypoxia-inducible factor 1α (HIF-1α) are two key players in various types of malignancies including breast cancer. The TGF-β1/SMAD3 pathway can interact with HIF-1α in some diseases; however, their interaction in breast cancer is still unknown. Therefore, our study aimed to investigate the interactions between the TGF-β1/SMAD3 pathway and HIF-1α in breast cancer. Methods: Expression of HIF-1α in serum of breast cancer patients and healthy controls was detected by quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction, and the diagnostic value of HIF-1α for breast cancer was evaluated by receiver operating characteristic curve analysis. Breast cancer cell lines overexpressing SMAD3 and HIF-1α were established. Cell apoptosis and proliferation following different treatments were detected by 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5- diphenyltetrazolium bromide, and cell counting kit-8, respectively. Expression of related proteins was detected by western blot. Results: Serum levels of HIF-1α were higher in breast cancer patients than in normal controls. Both SMAD3 and HIF-1α overexpression inhibited cell apoptosis and promoted cell proliferation. Treatment with inhibitors of HIF-1α and SMAD3 promoted apoptosis in breast cancer cells and inhibited their proliferation. Overexpression of HIF-1α promoted the expression of TGF-β1 and SMAD3, while SMAD3 overexpression did not significantly affect expression of HIF-1α or TGF-β1. Conclusion: HIF-1α serves as an upstream regulator of the TGF-β1/SMAD3 pathway and promotes the growth of breast cancer.

      • Analysis and Improvement on Input Characteristics of VIENNA Converter with Inductive Filter and One-Cycle-Control Method

        A. Peng Mao,B. Shaojun Xie,C. Hongyun Jia,D. Yonghong Zhang,E. Jinming Xu 전력전자학회 2015 ICPE(ISPE)논문집 Vol.2015 No.6

Input characteristics of L-filtered pulse-width-modulation (PWM) converter with one-cycle-control (OCC) method was analyzed, and the contradiction between decreasing phase displacement angle and decreasing input current ripple was revealed when the maximum switching frequency was limited to ensure high system efficiency. Given this, LCL-filtering scheme was introduced and used on OCC PWM converter, and the inductor current sampling scheme was proposed combined with frequency domain analysis of the system. Finally, experimental results were given to prove validity of the provided filtering scheme and the current sampling strategy.

Distributed leadership and teacher work engagement: the mediating role of teacher efficacy and the moderating role of interpersonal trust

        Cai, Yonghong,Liu, Peng,Tang, Runjia,Bo, Yalong 서울대학교 교육연구소 2023 Asia Pacific Education Review Vol.24 No.3

Teacher work engagement is essential for schools to achieve their educational objectives and student learning outcomes. Among all the infuencing factors, supportive workplace resources from diverse sources such as distributed leadership, trust, and self-efcacy have been cited as important factors afecting teachers’ engagement in their work. Conservation of resources theory proposes a theoretical mechanism of how supportive resources can facilitate employee engagement; this study aims to further examine and investigate the ways in which teacher work engagement is enhanced by distributed leadership and the role of teacher efcacy and trust in this relationship. The fndings of a survey involving 577 Chinese primary school teachers reveal that teacher efcacy completely mediates the positive relationship between distributed leadership and teacher work engagement. Distributed leadership also leads to increased teacher efcacy owing to higher levels of trust. These results suggest that distributed leadership is a highly efective approach that school administrators can adopt and that a workplace climate with a high level of interpersonal trust should be considered to further improve the efectiveness of school leadership and management.

      • Genome-Wide Association Study Meta-Analysis Reveals Transethnic Replication of Mean Arterial and Pulse Pressure Loci

        Kelly, Tanika N.,Takeuchi, Fumihiko,Tabara, Yasuharu,Edwards, Todd L.,Kim, Young Jin,Chen, Peng,Li, Huaixing,Wu, Ying,Yang, Chi-Fan,Zhang, Yonghong,Gu, Dongfeng,Katsuya, Tomohiro,Ohkubo, Takayoshi,Gao American Heart Association, Inc. 2013 Hypertension Vol.62 No.5

<P>We conducted a genome-wide association study meta-analysis of mean arterial pressure and pulse pressure among 26 600 East Asian participants (stage 1) followed by replication study of up to 28 783 participants (stage 2). For novel loci, statistical significance was determined by a <I>P</I><5.0×10–8 in joint analysis of stage 1 and stage 2 data. For loci reported by the previous mean arterial and pulse pressure genome-wide association study meta-analysis in Europeans, evidence of transethnic replication was determined by consistency in effect direction and a Bonferroni-corrected <I>P</I><1.4×10–3. No novel loci were identified by the current study. Five independent mean arterial pressure variants demonstrated robust evidence for transethnic replication including rs17249754 at <I>ATP2B1</I> (<I>P</I>=7.5×10–15), rs2681492 at <I>ATP2B1</I> (<I>P</I>=3.4×10–7), rs11191593 at <I>NT5C2</I> (1.1×10–6), rs3824755 at <I>CYP17A1</I> (<I>P</I>=1.2×10–6), and rs13149993 at <I>FGF5</I> (<I>P</I>=2.4×10–4). Two additional variants showed suggestive evidence of transethnic replication (consistency in effect direction and <I>P</I><0.05), including rs319690 at <I>MAP4</I> (<I>P</I>=0.014) and rs1173771 at <I>NPR3</I> (<I>P</I>=0.018). For pulse pressure, robust evidence of replication was identified for 2 independent variants, including rs17249754 at <I>ATP2B1</I> (<I>P</I>=1.2×10–5) and rs11191593 at <I>NT5C2</I> (<I>P</I>=1.1×10–3), with suggestive evidence of replication among an additional 2 variants including rs3824755 at <I>CYP17A1</I> (<I>P</I>=6.1×10–3) and rs2681492 at <I>ATP2B1</I> (<I>P</I>=9.0×10–3). Replicated variants demonstrated consistency in effect sizes between East Asian and European samples, with effect size differences ranging from 0.03 to 0.24 mm Hg for mean arterial pressure and from 0.03 to 0.21 mm Hg for pulse pressure. In conclusion, we present the first evidence of transethnic replication of several mean arterial and pulse pressure loci in an East Asian population.</P>
