        Risk Degree of Ship-bridge Collision based on Theory of Ship Collision Avoidance

        Bridges have played an integral role in the development of economy and progress of human society, which facilitate transportation and promote regional economic development. However, a large number of bridges for sea-crossing or river-crossing have impeded the water transportation to varying degrees, and then one part of bridges are confronted with higher risk of ship-bridge collision. There are many ship-bridge collision accidents in the world in recent decades, which caused huge casualties and property losses. This paper proposes the model of risk degree for ship-bridge collision based on the theory of ship collision avoidance, as one parts of the system of active warning of ship-bridge collision avoidance, which can show the index of dynamic risk degree for vessels passing through bridge area. The index of ship-bridge collision can make more efficiency for the system of active warning of ship-bridge collision avoidance, which can ensure safety for vessels and bridges. The verification results show the application possibility of the model in practice.

        FLOURY ENDOSPERM8, encoding the UDP-glucose pyrophosphorylase 1, affects the synthesis and structure of starch in rice endosperm

        Cereal opaque-kernel mutants are ideal geneticmaterials for studying the mechanism of starch biosynthesisand amyloplast development. Here we isolated and identifiedtwo allelic floury endosperm 8 (flo8) mutants of rice, namedflo8-1 and flo8-2. In the flo8 mutant, the starch content wasdecreased and the normal physicochemical features ofstarch were altered. Map-based cloning and subsequentDNA sequencing analysis revealed a single nucleotidesubstitution and an 8-bp insertion occurred in UDP-glucosepyrophosphorylase 1 (Ugp1) gene in flo8-1 and flo8-2,respectively. Complementation of the flo8-1 mutant restorednormal seed appearance by expressing full length codingsequence of Ugp1. RT-qPCR analysis revealed that Ugp1was ubiquitously expressed. Mutation caused the decreasedUGPase activity and affected the expression of most of genesassociated with starch biosynthesis. Meanwhile, western blotand enzyme activity analyses showed the comparability ofprotein levels and enzyme activity of most tested starchbiosynthesis related genes. Our results demonstrate thatUgp1 plays an important role for starch biosynthesis in riceendosperm.

        A putative plastidial adenine nucleotide transporter, BRITTLE1-3, plays an essential role in regulating chloroplast development in rice (Oryza sativa L.)

        Differentiation from proplastids into chloroplasts isa light- and energy-dependent process. How this process isregulated is still poorly understood at the molecular level. We herein report a new putative plastidial adenine nucleotidetransporter, BRITTLE1-3 (referred to as OsBT1-3), encoded bythe rice (Oryza sativa) White Stripe Leaf 2 (WSL2) gene. Loss of OsBT1-3 function results in defective chloroplastbiogenesis, severely reduced photosynthetic efficiency, andfinally a white stripe leaf phenotype in the first four leaves. The expression levels of genes related to chlorophyllbiosynthesis and photosynthesis are drastically reduced,accompanied with over accumulation of reactive oxygenspecies (ROS) in the wsl2 mutant. OsBT1-3 is targeted tothe chloroplasts and it expresses in almost all tissues inplants, especially in young leaves. OsBT1-3 consists of 419amino acids and exhibits features of all mitochondrialcarrier proteins, including a typical transmembrane-spanningdomain and a highly conserved sequence motif designatedas the ‘mitochondrial energy transfer signatures’. Phylogeneticanalysis shows that OsBT1-3 is a putative plastidialadenine nucleotide transporter and is most closely relatedto ZmBT1-2. Together, these observations suggest that thenew putative adenine nucleotide transporter, OsBT1-3,plays an essential role in regulating chloroplast biogenesisand maintenance of ROS homeostasis during rice seedlingde-etiolation.

        Coupled inductor based zero‑voltage‑switching buck/boost converter

        This paper proposes a zero-voltage-switching (ZVS) Buck/Boost converter (BBC). In addition, an auxiliary circuit based on a coupled inductor is introduced to realize ZVS for the main MOSFETs. The magnetic coupling inductor plays the role of filtering and provides ZVS conditions for the main MOSFETs. Since all of the switches can achieve soft switching conditions, and the conduction loss of the auxiliary circuit is small, the conversion efficiency for the overall system is improved. When compared with the traditional ZVS implementation methods based on magnetic coupling inductors used in Buck, Boost, and Buck/Boost converters, the proposed topology can prevent current notches on the current waveform of the input source. Since there are no notches on the input source current, when the proposed ZVS implementation method is applied to an interleaved parallel BBC structure, it has a smaller current ripple of the input source. Finally, experimental results are given and analyzed. Based on these results, both the ZVS conditions and efficiency improvement are verified.

      • The Research on the Relationship of Domestic Investment, Government Consumption, Household Consumption and Economic Growth -an Empirical Study of Fujian Province

        With Fujian Province as object of study, panel data from 1981 to 2012 is selected in this paper. Besides, VAR model is established. Co-integration test, Granger causality, impulse response function and variance decomposition are used for quantitative analysis on correlation between domestic investment, government consumption, household consumption and economic growth in Fujian Province. The author reveals long-term stable balance among investment, government consumption and household consumption in Fujian Province as well as bidirectional causal relationship between economic growth and domestic investment, government consumption and household consumption. For a short term, household consumption is of relatively strong positive impact effect on economic gain, which is served as major impetus of economic growth. Domestic investment is of relatively obvious promotion for economic growth in a short term and of certain negative effect on economic growth in a long term. However, government investment is of relatively small positive impact to economic growth. Such promotion lasts for a longer period. On this basis, the author proposes some policies and recommendations for macroeconomic regulation and control in Fujian Province.

        Determination of 5 Natural Selenium Species in Selenium-enriched Bamboo Shoots Using LC-ICP-MS

        A method for simultaneous determination ofthe selenium species methylselenocysteine (MeSeCys),selenocysteine (SeCys2), selenite (SeIV), selenomethionine(SeMet), and selenates (SeVI) in natural selenium-enrichedbamboo shoots was developed. Samples were extractedusing sonication with a solution of pepsin. Different seleniumspecies were separated using an anion exchange columnwith isocratic elution and a citric acid mobile phase at pH4.7. Separated selenium species were detected as 80Seusing inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICPMS)in dynamic reaction cell (DRC) gas mode. Themethod achieved acceptable quantitative recoveries of 73.9to 113.4% with relative standard deviations of <5%. Thelimits of detection were 1, 2, 2, 3, and 3 μg/kg (fresh weight)for SeCys2, Se, MeSeCys, SeMet, and Se, respectively. Themethod was simple, rapid, accurate, and useful fordetermination of selenium species in natural seleniumenriched bamboo shoots.

        A Sensorless Rotor Position Estimation Scheme for IPMSM Using HF Signal Injection with Frequency and Amplitude Optimization

        High frequency signal injection (HFI) is an alternative method for estimating rotor position of interior permanent magnet synchronous motor (IPMSM). The general method of frequency and amplitude selection is based on error tolerance and experiments, and is usually set with only one group of HF parameters, which is not efficient for different working modes. This paper proposes a novel rotor position estimation scheme by HFI with optimized frequency and amplitude, based on the mathematic model of IPMSM. The requirements for standstill and low-speed operational modes are met by applying this novel scheme. Additionally, the effects of the frequency and amplitude of the injected HF signal on the position estimation results under different operating conditions are analyzed. Furthermore, an optimization method for HF parameter selection is proposed to make the estimation process more efficient under different working conditions according to error tolerance. The effectiveness of the propose scheme is verified by the experiments on an IPMSM motor prototype.

        A rice White-stripe leaf3 (wsl3) mutant lacking an HD domain-containing protein affects chlorophyll biosynthesis and chloroplast development

        Leaf-color mutants are ideal genetic materials for understanding the mechanism of chloroplast development and chlorophyll (Chl) biosynthesis. Here we isolated and identified a new leaf-color mutant of rice, named white-stripe leaf3 (wsl3), from a 60Co-irradiated mutant pool. The wsl3 mutant displayed a visible white-stripe leaf in both young seedlings and flag leaves of mature plant. Chl content in homozygous wsl3 mutant was approximately 47% of that in the wild type. Besides, chloroplast development in the mutant was severely arrested. By a map-based cloning strategy, the wsl3 gene was finely confined to a 50.8 kb region on chromosome 1. Moreover, a 9-bp deletion was identified in the genomic region of LOC_Os01g01920, which encodes an HD (histidine and aspartic acid) domaincontaining protein. Genetic complementation confirmed that LOC_Os01g01920 could recover the lesion of wsl3 mutation. Real-time PCR analyses showed that the expression levels of WSL3 were the highest in young and flag leaves among various tissues, and most of the genes associated with Chl biosynthesis were significantly down-regulated in the wsl3 mutant. Meanwhile, in contrast to many nuclear gene-encoded phage-type RNA polymerase(s) (NEP) transcribed genes were up-regulated, most of plastid-encoded bacterialtype RNA polymerase (PEP) transcribed genes were downregulated. These results demonstrated that the WSL3 gene, as an HD domain-containing protein, is involved in chl biosynthesis and chloroplast development in rice.

        FLOURY ENDOSPERM12 Encoding Alanine Aminotransferase 1 Regulates Carbon and Nitrogen Metabolism in Rice

        Starch is a major storage substance in cerealgrains, and starch biosynthesis is a complex process. In orderto elucidate regulation of the starch biosynthesis pathway, wescreened a series of rice (Oryza sativa L.) endospermmutants. In this study, we identified a floury white-coreendosperm mutant named floury endosperm12 (flo12). Theflo12 mutant exhibited loosely packed starch granules and alower thousand kernel weight compared to wild type. Semithinsections revealed that compound starch grains (SG) inflo12 interior endosperm cells were developed abnormally. Furthermore, amylose content was decreased, while totalprotein content was significantly increased in flo12 grains. Map-based cloning showed that FLO12 encodes rice alanineaminotransferase 1 (OsAlaAT1). OsAlaAT1 is highly expressedin developing endosperm. Subcellular localization showedthat OsAlaAT1 is localized in the cytosol. Moreover, theexpression of most starch synthesis-related genes wasdecreased, while most of the storage protein coding geneshad elevated expression levels in the flo12 mutant. Inaddition, overexpression of the OsAlaAT1 gene increasedgrain weight. In brief, we demonstrated that OsAlaAT1regulates carbon and nitrogen metabolism, which provides anew insight for the improvement of rice quality and yield.
