New drug discovery and development research enable clinical treatment that saves human life and improves the quality of life, but the possibility of success with new drugs is significantly low despite a long time of 14 to 16 years and a large investment of 2 to 3 trillion won in traditional methods. As artificial intelligence is expected to radically change the new drug development paradigm, artificial intelligence new drug discovery and development projects are underway in various forms of collaboration, such as joint research between global pharmaceutical companies and IT companies, and government-private consortiums. This study uses the TOE framework and the Value-based Adoption Model, and the technical, organizational, and environmental factors that should be considered for the acceptance of AI technology at the level of the new drug research organization are the value of artificial intelligence technology. By analyzing the explanatory power of the relationship between perception and intention to use, it is intended to derive practical implications. Therefore, in this work, we present a research model in which technical, organizational, and environmental factors affecting the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies are mediated by strategic value recognition that takes into account all factors of benefit and sacrifice. Empirical analysis shows that usefulness, technicality, and innovativeness have significantly affected the perceived value of AI drug development systems, and that social influence and technology support infrastructure have significant impact on AI Drug Discovery and Development systems.

전통적인 신약개발은 평균 15년, 2~3조원의 비용이 소요되나 투자 대비 생산성이 지속적으로 감소하고 있어 패러다임 전환이 절실한 상황이다. 인공지능 기술을 활용하면 기간과 비용의 절감효과와 신약 후보물질 탐색의 성공확률이 높아질 것을 기대할 수 있다. 본 연구는 신약 연구 분야를 중심으로 인공지능 플랫폼 도입에 있어서 플랫폼의 가치에 영향을 미치는 요인들을 분석하여 수용 및 확산을 촉진하는데 필요한 시사점을 도출하고자 한다.

In this study, an operational data set was analysed by establishing a path model to figure out the actual cause-effect relationship of a wastewater treatment plant (WWTP); in particular, for the effluent concentrations of T-N and T-P. To develop the path models, data sets of operational records including effluent concentrations and operational factors were obtained from a field scale WWTP of 680,000 ㎥ of treatment capacity. The models showed that the relationship networks with the correlation coefficients between variables for objective expressions indicated the strength of each relationship. The suggested path models were verified according to whether the analyzation results matched known theories well, but sophisticated minute theoric relationships could not be cropped out distinctly. This indicates that only a few paths with strong theoric casual relationships were represented as measured data due to the high non-linearity of the mechanism of the removal process in a biological wastewater treatment.

<P>Silicon nanowires (SiNWs) were prepared by chemically etching silicon wafers with silver nanoparticles. Their electrical conductivities and porosities were tuned by adjusting the doping concentration of silicon wafers from which the SiNWs were prepared. Porosity of the SiNWs were proportional to doping concentrations of the mother wafer because the dopant population provides nucleation sites for etching. The electrical conductivities of the doped SiNWs were 100 times higher than those of the intrinsic SiNW. However, there was no difference in the conductivity between two different doping level SiNWs (Na = 2.7 x 10(15) and 5.7 x 10(19)) due to the trade-off between porosity and the intrinsic conductivity of the solid backbone. The doping-dependent properties of SiNWs determined the capacity, stability and kinetics of the lithium alloying reaction of the SiNWs. The medium-level doping SiNWs, characterized by a mechanically obust porous structure, showed the most improved electrochemical performances in a full cell of a lithium manganese oxide parallel to SiNW battery as a result of the balanced trade-off between coulombic efficiency and capacity retention. 가산자료 모형을 이용한 정액형 입원보험 가입자의 의료이용량 실증분석

이 연구에서는 정액형 입원보험에 가입한 사람들을 대상으로, 가입금액에 따른 입원일수를 가산자료 모형을 이용하여 분석하였다. 실증분석을 위해 2015년도 말 정액형 입원보험을 유지하고 있는 45세에서 64세 사이의 여성가입자를 고려하였으며, 해당년도 입원보험금이 청구된 입원일수를 취합하여 고액가입자의 의료이용 실태를 파악하고자 하였다. 분석결과 가입금액은 연령에 상관없이 입원일수와 상당한 연관성을 가지고 있었으며, 통계적인 모형화가 가능할 정도로 특징적인 패턴을 나타내는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 물론 이러한 결과로부터 정액형 입원보험 가입자의 도덕적 해이를 속단하기에는 무리가 따르지만, 입원보험료를 산출할 때 성별이나 나이 등과 더불어 가입금액의 크기를 반영할 필요가 있다고 판단된다. 향후 관련 연구에서 대용량 가산자료를 분석하는데 활용할 수 있도록 일반화 가법모형 및 R 코드를 소개하였다. In this paper, we analyze fixed-amount-type hospital insurance data using count data models to investigate the effect of the sum insured on the number of days staying in hospital. For the empirical analysis, we gather the contract information regarding the female insureds aged from 45 to 64 at the end of year 2015, and utilize the accident statistics related to the insurance claims to see how the insured behaves as the sum insured increases. According to our empirical analysis, the sum insured exhibits a considerable association with the number of days staying in hospital irrespective of age, and the pattern was so prominent to be statistically modeled. It might be too hasty to view this as a result of the insureds’ moral hazard, but it seems necessary to reflect the amount of sum insured together with the insured’ sexuality or age for the premium calculation. For the future application of generalized additive model (GAM) to large-scale count data in insurance, we explain the GAM model and the associated R-code at the appendix.

<P>Accumulated electrostatic charges on the dielectric surfaces of ion traps are known to induce stray fields, leading to ion micromotions. In typical microfabricated ion-trap chips, metal electrodes are electrically isolated using thick dielectric pillars, which can accumulate stray charges on their sidewalls. This letter presents a new microfabrication method for ion-trap chips that reduces the exposure of dielectric surfaces to trapped ions. The dielectric pillars are fabricated with large T-shaped overhangs, and the sidewalls and top surfaces are coated with AlCu (1%) films. The bottom sides of the overhang parts provide electrical isolation. To prevent oxidation of the AlCu (1%) films, the electrode surfaces are coated with an additional Au film. The fabricated chips were implemented to trap <SUP>174</SUP>Yb<SUP>+</SUP> ions, and the laser-induced stray fields were measured. The results indicated that the trap chip fabricated by the newly developed method generates significantly smaller stray fields as compared with previous chips. [2017-0233]</P>

코로나19 팬데믹으로 사회적 거리 두기가 강화됨에 따라 원격근무가 확산되면서 정부기관에서도 지난 3월부터 재택근무가 시작되어 현재까지도 일정수준을 유지하고 있다. 정부기관에서 재택근무를 위해 필수적으로 사용하고 있는 정부원격근무서비스인 GVPN(Government Virtual Private Network)이 짧은 기간에 급격한 이용자의 증가에 따른 여러 문제점들의 발생이 예상되고 있다. 따라서 이를 직접 이용하고 있는 정부부처의 공무원들을 대상으로 GVPN의 품질요인이 이용자의 만족도에 미치는 영향들을 분석하기 위해 설문조사와 통계분석을 실시하였으며, 이 결과를 기반으로 언택트 시대의 본격적인 확산에 대비하여 원격근무를 위한 GVPN의 개선방안 마련에 필요한 시사점 등을 도출하고자 한다. As the social distance has been strengthened by the COVID-19 Pandemics, telecommuting has spread, and government agencies have also begun telecommuting since March and are still maintaining a certain level. The Government's remote work service, Government Virtual Private Network (GVPN), which is essential to telecommuting of government agencies, is expected to cause a number of problems with the rapid increase in users in a short period of time. Therefore, a survey and statistical analysis were conducted to analyze the impact of the quality factors of GVPN on the users' satisfaction to the public officials of the government departments who are directly using it, and based on these results, we intend to derive the implications necessary for the improvement of GVPN for remote work in preparation for the full-fledged spread of the non-contact era.

데이터 경제 시대를 맞이하여 농업분야에서도 농업인의 편의를 제공하고 정책의 효율성을 높여야만 한다. 이에 농업 보조금 신청 등을 위해 본인의 자격증명을 대신해서 관계 기관들이 수집, 보유하고 있는 데이터를 통해 농업 마이데이터 서비스 구축을 모색하고자 한다. 따라서 본 연구는 농업 마이데이터 서비스 수용의도에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구를 통해, 농업 마이데이터 구축에 필요한 시사점을 도출하고자 한다.

Background: Lung cancer is a leading cause of morbidity and mortality worldwide, and the incidence continues to rise. Although many prognostic factors have been identified, the clinical characteristics and outcomes in Korean lung cancer patients are not well defined. Methods: Of the 23,254 new lung cancer cases registered at the Korea Central Cancer Registry in 2013, total 489 patients from 19 hospitals were abstracted by the Korean Central Cancer Registry. The clinical data retrospectively analyzed, patients were followed up until December 2015. Results: The median age was 69 years (interquartile range, 60-74 years); 65.4% were male and 62.1% were ever-smokers. Cough was the most common initial symptom (33.5%); 13.1% of patients were asymptomatic. While squamous cell carcinoma was the most common subtype in male patients (37.2%), adenocarcinoma was the most frequent histological type in all patients (48.7%) and females (76.3%). The majority of patients received treatment (76.5%), which included surgery, radiation therapy, and chemotherapy. Older age (hazard ratio [HR], 1.037), lower body mass index (HR, 0.904), ever-smoker (HR, 2.003), small cell lung cancer (HR, 1.627), and distant metastasis (HR, 3.990) were independent predictors of mortality. Patients without symptoms (HR, 0.387) and without treatment (HR, 0.364) were associated with a favorable outcome in multivariate Cox analysis. Conclusion: Lung cancer in Korea occurs predominantly in elderly patients, with adenocarcinoma being the most frequent subtype. The prognosis was poorer in ever-smokers and older, malnourished, and untreated patients with advanced lung cancer.
