This paper focuses on the semi-blunt puncture behavior of woven fabrics via finite element analysis (FEA) approaches. In these finite element (FE) models, main structure parameters, such as weave structure, warp density as well as friction coefficient, are systematically considered and calculated via FEA. These microstructure geometrical models are builtup with full consideration of interaction between warp and weft yarns. The theoretical results show that plain woven fabric has better puncture resistance compared with 2/1 twill and 5-harness satin fabrics. With the increase of warp density and friction coefficient, the puncture property of woven fabric will be dramatically improved. Finally, an energy consumption method is adopted to analyze the puncture damage process of woven fabric. The simulation results will benefit for the optimum design of woven fabric with excellent puncture performance.
≪장자(莊子)≫에 나타난 `소설(小說)`의 의미에 대한 고찰

In the history of Chinese Literature, `Xiaoshuo(小說)` originated in Zhuangzi. The sentence is “use `Xiao-shuo` to earn a great reputation(飾小說以幹縣令)”. Many scholars have considered `Xiao-shuo` to mean trivial tales or short stories, which have nothing to do with the great Tao(道). This paper studied the whole text of Zhuangzi, in order to research the significance of `Xiaoshuo`. I conclude `Xiaoshuo` does not mean trivial tales or short stories, but some other theories of Ancient Chinese Classics which do not concern the great Tao. Zhuangzi asserts that the greatest theories should follow the great Tao. This is what Taoism usually refers to, but some theories do not follow or derive from the great Tao, just minor or trivial lectures. He called such theories `Xiaoshuo`. In Zhuangzi, Chuang-tzu also called something similar as `Xiao-shuo`, including `Xiao-yan(小言)`, `Su-yan(俗言)` and `Ye-yu(野語)`. Each type is distinctive, seems the `suk-yan(俗言)` is the most similar to interesting tales. After 20th `Xiao-shuo` became like `novel` in West literature. In old China it has many significance like tale, fiction, story, and novel, But in Zhuangzi, it doesn`t mean that.
Aeromicrobium halotolerans sp. nov., isolated from desert soil sample

<P>A Gram-positive, aerobic, and non-motile, rod-shaped actinomycete strain, designated YIM Y47(T), was isolated from soils collected from Turpan desert, China, and subjected to a polyphasic taxonomic study. Phylogenetic analysis indicated that strain YIM Y47(T) belonged to the genus Aeromicrobium. YIM Y47(T) shared highest 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities with Aeromicrobium massiliense JC14(T) (96.47 %). Growth occurs at 20-45 A degrees C (optimum at 30 A degrees C), pH 6.0-8.0 (optimum at pH 7.0), and salinities of 0-7.0 % NaCl (optimum at 4.0 %). The strain YIM Y47(T) exhibits chemotaxonomic features with menaquinone-7 (MK-7) as the predominant quinone, C-16:0, C-18:1 omega 9c and 10-methyl C-18:0 (> 10 %) as major fatty acids. The cell-wall peptidoglycan of strain YIM Y47(T) contained ll-diaminopimelic acid as the diagnostic diamino acid. The polar lipids were found to consist of diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylinositol, and unknown phospholipids. The G+C content of the genomic DNA of strain YIM Y47(T) was found to be 44.7 mol%. On the basis of phylogenetic analyses and phenotypic data, it is proposed that strain YIM Y47(T) should be classified as representing a novel species of the genus Aeromicrobium, with the name Aeromicrobium halotolerans sp. nov. The type strain is YIM Y47(T) (=KCTC 39113(T)=CGMCC 1.15063(T)=DSM 29939(T)=JCM 30627(T)).</P>
Study on softening behavior of laser welded joint in GH909 alloy

Laser beam welding was conducted on GH909 alloy in a solution treatment and aging conditions. The microstructure, mechanical properties, and softening behavior of welded joints were carefully studied using scanning electron microscopy, energy diffraction spectroscopy, and other techniques. Results indicated that γ′-Ni 3 (TiAl)-precipitated phases were produced inside the matrix, and the presence of Laves at grain boundaries restricted grain growth. A sharp reduction in γ′-precipitated phases evidently weakened the average tensile strength and microhardness of the welded joints. Moreover, fractures occurred in the weld zone. Microcracks in the fracture of the joint mainly depended on the competition result between thermal stress and cohesion forces among the grains.
