        An H∞ Output Feedback Control for Uncertain Singularly Perturbed T-S Fuzzy Systems

        This paper deals with an H∞ output feedback controller design for uncertain singularly perturbed T-S fuzzy systems. Integral quadratic constraints are used to describe various kinds of uncertainties of the plant. It is shown that the H∞ norm of the uncertain singularly perturbed fuzzy system is less than γ for a sufficiently small ε>0 if the H∞ norms of both the slow and fast subsystem are less than γ. Using this fact, we develop a linear matrix inequality based design method which is independent of the singular perturbation parameter ε. A numerical example is provided to demonstrate the efficacy of the proposed design method.

        Chicken serum uric acid level is regulated by glucose transporter 9

        Objective: Glucose transporter 9 (GLUT9) is a uric acid transporter that is associated with uric absorption in mice and humans; but it is unknown whether GLUT9 involves in chicken uric acid regulation. This experiment aimed to investigate the chicken GLUT9 expression and serum uric acid (SUA) level. Methods: Sixty chickens were divided into 4 groups (n = 15): a control group (NC); a sulfonamide-treated group (SD) supplemented with sulfamonomethoxine sodium via drinking water (8 mg/L); a fishmeal group (FM) supplemented with 16% fishmeal in diet; and a uric acid-injection group (IU), where uric acid (250 mg/kg) was intraperitoneally injected once a day. The serum was collected weekly to detect the SUA level. Liver, kidney, jejunum, and ileum tissues were collected to detect the GLUT9 mRNA and protein expression. Results: The results showed in the SD and IU groups, the SUA level increased and GLUT9 expression increased in the liver, but decreased in the kidney, jejunum, and ileum. In the FM group, the SUA level decreased slightly and GLUT9 expression increased in the kidney, but decreased in the liver, jejunum, and ileum. Correlation analysis revealed that liver GLUT9 expression correlated positively, and renal GLUT9 expression correlated negatively with the SUA level. Conclusion: These results demonstrate that there may be a feedback regulation of GLUT9 in the chicken liver and kidney to maintain the SUA balance; however, the underlying mechanism needs to be investigated in future studies.         SYNTHESIS OF STABLE DISPERSIONS OF WATER-SOLUBLE AND SERS-ACTIVE SILVER NANOPARTICLES USING PAM

        Water-soluble and stable dispersions of silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) were obtained using a straightforward one-step synthesis method. Polyacrylamide (PAM), a kind of water-soluble polymer with polar amide group, is used as stabilizing agent to prevent the aggregation of Ag NPs in aqueous medium. The successful formation of PAM-stabilized Ag NPs was demonstrated by ultraviolet-visible spectroscopy (UV-Vis), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). In addition, the SERS-active substrate made of Ag NPs was fabricated to enhance the Raman signal of R6G and graphene. The significant SERS effective makes the as-synthesized substrate to be widely used in practical applications for routine SERS analysis and water environment biological monitoring.

        잔존충전용량 추정을 위한 퍼지 H<SUB>∞</SUB> 필터 설계

        본 논문은 리튬폴리머 배터리의 잔존충전용량 추정을 위한 비선형 퍼지 H∞ 필터의 설계 방법을 제시한다. 배터리 셀의 동적방정식을 T-S 퍼지시스템으로 모델하고 선형행렬 부등식의 해를 이용하여 퍼지필터를 설계한다. 제시한 퍼지 H∞ 필터의 성능을 입증하기 위하여 UDDS 전류 프로파일을 사용한 실험 데이터를 이용하여 모의실험을 수행하였다. This paper deals with a nonlinear fuzzy H∞ filter design for SOC(state of charge) estimation in Lithium polymer battery. The dynamic equation of the battery cell is modeled as a T-S fuzzy system and the filter is designed via solutions of linear matrix inequalities. In order to illustrate the performance of the designed filter, a computer simulation is performed using the experimental data with the UDDS(urban dynamometer driving schedule) current profile.
