The aim of the experiment was to study the changes in the activities of various rumen fibre degrading enzymes due to the feeding of chemically treated mustard (Brassica campestris) straw in sheep. Mustard straw (MS) (<5 cm particle size) was treated either with urea (4% (w/w), or with 2% sodium hydroxide (NaOH), or with alkaline hydrogen peroxide (2% NaOH and 1.5% hydrogen peroxide ($H_2O_2$)) and/or supplemented with 2% (w/w) urea. Seven maintenance type rations were prepared using MS (70 parts) with molasses (5 parts) and concentrate (25 parts). They were untreated MS (CMS), urea treated MS (UMS), urea supplemented MS (MSUS), alkali treated MS (AMS), alkali treated and urea supplemented MS (AMS-US), alkali $H_2O_2$ treated MS (AHMS) and alkali $H_2O_2$ treated and urea supplemented MS (AHMS-US). They were then compressed into a complete feed block with the help of block making machine. Forty two male hoggets of Malpura breed sheep were equally distributed into each treatment group and (were) offered feed and water ad libitum. At the end of 21 days of feeding trial, rumen liquor was collected through stomach tube from three animals in each group at 0 h, 4 h, 8 h, 12 h of post feeding. Results showed that the level of enzyme varied from 8.52 to 11.12, 40.85 to 50.37, 3.22 to 3.78, 2.09 to 2.77 and 31.44 to 44.24 units/100 ml SRL respectively for carboxymethyl cellulase (CMCase), $\alpha$-amylase, microcrystalline cellulase (MCCase), filter paper (FP) degrading enzyme and $\alpha$-glucosidase. Processing of MS affected the enzyme activities, in a way, that NaOH and AHP treatment significantly reduced CMCase and FP degrading enzyme. The effect of urea treatment showed an increase in the activity of MCCase and $\alpha$-glucosidase. But the supplementation of urea increased the activity of CMCase, FP degrading enzyme and $\alpha$-glucosidase. The CMCase, $\alpha$-amylase, $\alpha$-glucosidase activities were highest at 4hr whereas MCCase and FP degrading enzyme had maximum activities at 12 h post feeding Results suggested that MS might need longer time in the rumen for its effective degradation.

The effect of transinoculation of goat rumen liquor into sheep rumen on mimosine toxicity was studied. One adult Kutchi male goat having higher mimosine degradation capacity than sheep was gradually adapted to Leucaena leucocephala (Leucaena) leaves by feeding increasing level of eucaena leaves supplementation for 1 month. Six Bharat Merino rams (12-18 months of age) were divided into two equal groups with (group I) or without (group II) infusion of 200 ml of goat rumen liquor per animal. The mimosine degradation in groups I and II were 3.04 and 2.31; 3.90 and 3.73 mg per day per 10 ml rumen liquor respectively after 1 and 2 weeks of leucaena feeding leaves. Total rumen bacterial population in RGCA medium and in a selective medium containing iron showed an increasing trend in both groups, while the bacterial population growing in the presence of cellulose showed a decreasing trend. Animal performance data did not show any adverse effect. Results revealed that transinoculation of rumen liquor from leucaena leaves adapted goat to sheep rumen did not help to improve mimosine degradation in the sheep. The sheep transinoculated with goat rumen liquor displayed no in vivo improvements in nutrient utilization vis-a-vis mimosine metabolism.
Sufficient conditions for starlikeness of reciprocal order
Saravanarasu Madhumitha,Vaithiyanathan Ravichandran 강원경기수학회 2023 한국수학논문집 Vol.31 No.3
A normalized analytic function $f$ defined on the unit disk $\mathbb{D}$ is starlike of reciprocal order $\alpha$, $0\leq \alpha<1$, if $\operatorname{Re}(f(z)/(zf'(z)))>\alpha$ for all $z\in \mathbb{D}$. Such functions are starlike and therefore univalent in $\mathbb{D}$. Using the well-known Miller-Mocanu differential subordination theory, sufficient conditions involving differential inclusions are obtained for a normalized analytic function to be starlike of reciprocal order $\alpha$. Furthermore, a few conditions are derived for a function $f$ to belong to a subclass of reciprocal starlike functions, satisfying $\left\lvert f(z)/ (z f'(z)) - 1 \right\rvert < 1-\alpha$.
Directional convexity of combinations of harmonic half-plane and strip mappings
Subzar Beig,Vaithiyanathan Ravichandran 대한수학회 2022 대한수학회논문집 Vol.37 No.1
For $k=1,2$, let $f_k=h_k+\overline{g_k}$ be normalized harmonic right half-plane or vertical strip mappings. We consider the convex combination $\hat{f}=\eta f_1+(1-\eta)f_2 =\eta h_1+(1-\eta)h_2 +\overline{\overline{\eta} g_1+(1-\overline{\eta})g_2}$ and the combination $\tilde{f}=\eta h_1+(1-\eta)h_2+\overline{\eta g_1+(1-\eta)g_2}$. For real $\eta$, the two mappings $\hat{f}$ and $\tilde{f}$ are the same. We investigate the univalence and directional convexity of $\hat{f}$ and $\tilde{f}$ for $\eta\in\mathbb{C}$. Some sufficient conditions are found for convexity of the combination $\tilde{f}$.

Malik, Somya,Ravichandran, Vaithiyanathan Korean Mathematical Society 2022 대한수학회논문집 Vol.37 No.4
For given non-negative real numbers 𝛼k with ∑mk=1 𝛼k = 1 and normalized analytic functions fk, k = 1, …, m, defined on the open unit disc, let the functions F and Fn be defined by F(z) := ∑mk=1 𝛼kfk(z), and Fn(z) := n-1 ∑n-1j=0 e-2j𝜋i/nF(e2j𝜋i/nz). This paper studies the functions fk satisfying the subordination zf'k(z)/Fn(z) ≺ h(z), where the function h is a convex univalent function with positive real part. We also consider the analogues of the classes of starlike functions with respect to symmetric, conjugate, and symmetric conjugate points. Inclusion and convolution results are proved for these and related classes. Our classes generalize several well-known classes and the connections with the previous works are indicated.
FUNCTIONS SUBORDINATE TO THE EXPONENTIAL FUNCTION
Priya G. Krishnan,Vaithiyanathan Ravichandran,Ponnaiah Saikrishnan Korean Mathematical Society 2023 대한수학회논문집 Vol.38 No.1
We use the theory of differential subordination to explore various inequalities that are satisfied by an analytic function p defined on the unit disc so that the function p is subordinate to the function ez. These results are applied to find sufficient conditions for the normalised analytic functions f defined on the unit disc to satisfy the subordination zf'(z)/f(z) ≺ ez.
Approximate Multipliers Using Bio-Inspired Algorithm
Kunaraj Kumarasamy,K. K. Senthilkumar,Vaithiyanathan Dhandapani 대한전기학회 2021 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.16 No.1
As most of the real-world problems are imprecise, dedicating a lot of hardware for precise computations is futile for lowpower applications and few applications where the precision is not of paramount importance. For such applications an imprecise computational block is suffi cient if it has other performance benefi ts like low power and low area. We propose Constrained Cartesian Genetic Programming (CCGP), a variant of CGP to evolve lower order imprecise multipliers and further the higher order multipliers are constructed from them. Gate-level architectures for 2 × 2, 3 × 2, 3 × 3 and 4 × 4 imprecise multipliers are evolved. Also, we propose few partitioning methodologies for the construction of higher order multipliers using the evolved imprecise lower order multipliers. The constructed evolved-partitioned multiplier (EPM) of orders 8 × 8 and 16 × 16 has signifi cant performance benefi ts over the existing multiplier architectures in terms of cell area and power. The circuits are synthesized using Cadence SoC Encounter ® using TSMC ® 180 nm standard cell library. The 16-bit EPMs show a maximum power reduction of 33% compared to other truncated multipliers and an area improvement of 2%.
INCLUSION RELATIONS AND RADIUS PROBLEMS FOR A SUBCLASS OF STARLIKE FUNCTIONS
Gupta, Prachi,Nagpal, Sumit,Ravichandran, Vaithiyanathan Korean Mathematical Society 2021 대한수학회지 Vol.58 No.5
By considering the polynomial function 𝜙car(z) = 1 + z + z2/2, we define the class 𝓢*car consisting of normalized analytic functions f such that zf'/f is subordinate to 𝜙car in the unit disk. The inclusion relations and various radii constants associated with the class 𝓢*car and its connection with several well-known subclasses of starlike functions is established. As an application, the obtained results are applied to derive the properties of the partial sums and convolution.

THE THIRD HERMITIAN-TOEPLITZ AND HANKEL DETERMINANTS FOR PARABOLIC STARLIKE FUNCTIONS
Rosihan M. Ali,Sushil Kumar,Vaithiyanathan Ravichandran 대한수학회 2023 대한수학회보 Vol.60 No.2
A normalized analytic function $f$ is parabolic starlike if $w(z)$ $:=zf'(z)/f(z)$ maps the unit disk into the parabolic region $\{w: \operatorname{Re} w>|w-1|\}$. Sharp estimates on the third Hermitian-Toeplitz determinant are obtained for parabolic starlike functions. In addition, upper bounds on the third Hankel determinants are also determined.
