We present some mixture representations for the Linnik, Mittag-Leffler and Weibull distributions in terms of normal, exponential and stable laws and establish the relationship between the mixing distributions in these representations. Based on these representations, we prove some limit theorems for a wide class of rather simple statistics constructed from samples with random sized including, e.g., random sums of independent random variables with finite variances, maximum random sums, extreme order statistics, in which the Linnik and Mittag-Leffler distributions play the role of limit laws. Thus we demonstrate that the scheme of geometric summation is far not the only asymptotic setting (even for sums of independent random variables) in which the Mittag-Leffler and Linnik laws appear as limit distributions. The two-sided Mittag-Leffler and the one-sided Linnik distribution are introduced and also proved to be limit laws for some statistics constructed from samples with random sizes.
Platinum Group Metals Recovery From Highly Radioactive Raffinate of NPP SNF Reprocessing

Рrecipitation of platinum group metals (Rh, Ru, Pd, so-called MPG) from the melt essentially affects the reliability of installations for vitrification of high-level liquid radioactive waste (HLW). To date, it is difficult to find an approach which allows simultaneous recovery of all three metals. The aim of our work was to select a sorbent that would provide simultaneous up to complete recovery of given metals. The following inorganic materials were tested as sorbents – yellow blood salt (YBS).and hexacyanoferrates of iron, aluminum, copper and nickel. The degree of metal recovery was studied is influenced by the temperature and concentration of nitric acid. Only palladium was completely recovered using YBS. At the same time, specially prepared iron hexacyanoferrate (HCF-Fe) under optimal experimental conditions recovers almost all Pd and more than 95% and 90% of Rh and Ru, respectively. The behavior of fission products, including the main dose-forming components of HLW (Cs, Sr) and Mo, U, Ag, REE) in the course of MPG recovery was studied. The experiments were carried using both multicomponent model solutions and real raffinates. Options for further management of the recovered metals have been worked out. Thus, the proposed method of metal recovery seems promising for the development of a technology for the removal of MPG from nitric HLW during the reprocessing of the spent nuclear fuel (SNF) before vitrification. The recovered metals can be probably used in various technological processes. Also, this method can provide the MPG recovery from low-concentration tail solutions.

The microstructure and properties of the novel heat resistant Al–3Ce–7Cu alloy produced by selective laser melting wereinvestigated. Fine Al11Ce3and Al6.5CeCu6.5eutectic phases were found in the microstructure. Annealing at temperatures inthe 250–400 °C range leads to a decrease in the hardness. Hardness has larger values after annealing at 350 and 400 °C thanat 250 °C due to the precipitation of nanosized particles. The low hardness after quenching and aging at 190 °C is causedby quench stress relief and the absence of aging hardening because of poor solid solution. The as-printed yield strength,ultimate tensile strength and elongation are 274 MPa, 456 MPa and 4.4%, respectively. High mechanical properties of theAl–3Ce–7Cu alloy were demonstrated by high temperature tension and compression tests.
Peculiarities of the electronic transport in Co2CrAl and Co2CrGa halfmetallic ferromagnets

We present results on the transport properties of the half-metallic ferromagnetic Heusler alloys Co2CrAl and Co2CrGa in the temperature range from 4 to 900 K. The peculiarities of the resistivity and the absolute differential thermoelectric power are considered within a two-current model of conductivity, taking into account the energy gap at the Fermi level in the electronic spectrum of alloys for electrons with spin opposite to the direction of the magnetization vector.
X-ray absorption spectroscopy and magnetic studies of Sr1xCexMn1yCoyO3d solid solutions

We present results of measurements of temperature dependence of the magnetic susceptibility and soft X-absorption spectra of double-substitution solid solutions Sr1xCexMn1yCoyO3d. It was found that in the solid solution Sr0.8Ce0.2Co0.2Mn0.8O2.96, cobalt and cerium ions are in the Co2þ and Ce4þ valence states, respectively. About 90% of manganese ions in Sr0.8Ce0.2Co0.2Mn0.8O2.96 are in the 4þ state, and the rest of them are in the 3þ state. In the solid solution Sr0.9Ce0.1Co0.4Mn0.6O2.85, manganese and cerium ions are in the 4þ states. About 75% of cobalt ions are in the high-spin Co3þ state and 25% of cobalt ions are in the 2þ state. Doping Mn position with Co ions reduces the antiferromagnetic interaction in the initial compounds, which leads to a decrease of the Neel temperature and to the magnetic transition of the material into the spin-glass state.
On asymmetric generalization of the Weibull distribution by scale–location mixing of normal laws

Two approaches are suggested to the definition of asymmetric generalized Weibull distribution. These approaches are based on the representation of the two-sided Weibull distributions as variance–mean normal mixtures or more general scale–location mixtures of the normal laws. Since both of these mixtures can be limit laws in limit theorems for random sums of independent random variables, these approaches can provide additional arguments in favor of asymmetric two-sided Weibull-type models of statistical regularities observed in some problems related to stopped random walks, in particular, in problems of modeling the evolution of financial markets
