Factors Affecting the Development of Vietnamese Construction and Real Estate Companies

Giang Lam PHAN(Giang Lam PHAN ),Thuy Dieu NGUYEN(Thuy Dieu NGUYEN ),Chi Thi NGUYEN(Chi Thi NGUYEN ),Lan NGUYEN(Lan NGUYEN ),Le Thi TRAN(Le Thi TRAN ) 한국유통과학회 2022 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.9 No.9

This study aims to investigate the factors that contribute to the sustainable development of 334 Vietnamese construction and real estate companies listed on the Stock Exchange of Vietnam over a 5-year period from 2016 to 2020. By using regression analysis with the support of STATA software through examining the financial statements, which involves looking into crucial ratios including capital structure, profitability, firm size, accounts receivable management, and tangible assets investment, this study sheds light on whether these accounting indicators could help predict the construction and real estate companies growing potential in the future. Nevertheless, these ratios slightly contribute to the explanation of the change in revenue growth ratio, with a result of 1.6%, indicating that the value relevance of accounting information provides a modest and insignificant effect on investment decisions. This is understandable because the Vietnamese construction and real estate market still has many shortcomings in handling unexpected events, as well as the industry’s peculiarities related to major capital sources from bank loans. Based on this study, governmental authorities and business executives should plan appropriate risk management policies and measures to contribute to the sustainable development of construction and real estate companies.

Temperature-Dependent Photoluminescence and Absoprtion of CdSe Quantum dots Embedded in PMMA

Tran Thi Kim Chi,Ung Thi Dieu Thuy,Nguyen Quang Liem,Man Hoai Nam,Do Xuan Thanh 한국물리학회 2008 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.52 No.5

Photoluminescence and absorption studies of CdSe quantum dots in polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) were carried out in the temperature range 14 - 310 K. We found an anomalously discontinuous variation of the photoluminescence intensity and the peak position around 50 K. Two different kinds of states, whose populations are temperature-dependent, are proposed as the origins for the emissions at lower and higher temperatures. The absorption exhibited a temperature-dependent behavior similar to that of the photoluminescence.O Photoluminescence and absorption studies of CdSe quantum dots in polymethylmethacrylate (PMMA) were carried out in the temperature range 14 - 310 K. The Impact of Sharing Culture on Opportunistic Behavior and Effectiveness of Employee Management: A Case Study in Vietnam

Thi Dieu Anh HO,Quang Bach TRAN,Thi Thuy Van HOANG 한국유통과학회 2022 The Journal of Asian Finance, Economics and Busine Vol.9 No.1

Sharing culture brings many benefits to enterprises, creating initiative and efficiency in the work performance of managers and employees. The study aims to test the correlation between Sharing culture, opportunistic behavior, and effectiveness of employee management in enterprises in Vietnam. There is the implementation of a quantitative research method, through analysis of linear structural model SEM, with survey data including 601 samples of employees at enterprises. Research results show that sharing culture has a direct and negative impact on opportunistic behavior, positively on the effectiveness of employee management in enterprises. In these correlations, the employee’s Trust and Organization commitment act as mediators. At the same time, opportunistic behavior has also been shown to play a mediating role in the relationship between the impact of Sharing culture on the effectiveness of employee management. Based on those results, the study suggested several recommendations to improve the effectiveness of employee management. The findings of this study have shown the importance of sharing culture and its direct and indirect correlation with opportunistic behavior and the effectiveness of employee management. These are meaningful contributions in both theory and practice of the research, and they will be the important basis for further research.

Analysis of phylogenetic markers for classification of a hydrogen peroxide producing Streptococcus oralis isolated from saliva by a newly devised differential medium

        Pham Ha,Tran Thi Dieu Thuy,Yang Youri,Ahn Jae-Hyung,Hur Hor-Gil,김용학 한국미생물학회 2022 The journal of microbiology Vol.60 No.8

Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) is produced by alpha-hemolytic streptococci in aerobic conditions. However, the suitable method for detection of H2O2-producing streptococci in oral microbiota has not been setup. Here we show that o-dianisidine dye and horseradish peroxidase were useful in tryptic soy agar medium to detect and isolate H2O2-producing bacteria with the detection limit of one target colony in > 106 colony-forming units. As a proof, we isolated the strain HP01 (KCTC 21190) from a saliva sample using the medium and analyzed its characteristics. Further tests showed that the strain HP01 belongs to Streptococcus oralis in the Mitis group and characteristically forms short-chain streptococcal cells with a high capacity of acid tolerance and biofilm formation. The genome analysis revealed divergence of the strain HP01 from the type strains of S. oralis. They showed distinctive phylogenetic distances in their ROS-scavenging proteins, including superoxide dismutase SodA, thioredoxin TrxA, thioredoxin reductase TrxB, thioredoxin-like protein YtpP, and glutaredoxin- like protein NrdH, as well as a large number of antimicrobial resistance genes and horizontally transferred genes. The concatenated ROS-scavenging protein sequence can be used to identify and evaluate Streptococcus species and subspecies based on phylogenetic analysis.

Polarization of Colloidal CdSe Quantum Dots

Nguyen Quang Liem,Le Quang Phuong,Ung Thi Dieu Thuy,Tran Thi Kim Chi,Do Xuan Thanh 한국물리학회 2008 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.53 No.3

The effects of the polarization of colloidal CdSe QDs on the optical transitions are discussed based on systematic studies of a colloidal CdSe-based QDs system as a function of the net QDs' polarity/polarization and of the solvent's polarity. The polarization of the QD/ligand complexes makes them water-soluble after appropriate cleaning processes. The polarization of the bare CdSe QDs is reasonably thought to originate from dangling bonds at the surfaces of the dots. Passivation of the Se dangling bond by hydrogen generated from ultraviolet irradiation of the CdSe QDs in water is clearly observed to cause a spectral blueshift and a photoluminescence enhancement.
