<P>A highly robust porous hydrogen-bonded organic framework (HOF) constructed by 4,4′,4′′-benzene-1,3,5-triyl-tris(benzoic acid) not only achieves the highest uptakes of ethylene and ethane among the HOF materials, but also exhibits unusual adsorption selectivity of C2H6 over other C2 gases. Besides, it exhibits the second highest acetylene uptake among all the reported HOF materials.</P>
Analysis of difference between QSS + participation groups using AHP And Study of improvement plan

Since 2005, POSCO has been conducting continuous innovation activities using its own innovation methodology, QSS+(Quick Six Sigma Plus). Recently, the effectiveness of QSS+ has been decreased owing to the different needs and purposes for each group. The purpose of this study is to compare the weights of the QSS+ factors using AHP analysis. QSS+ factors consist of two levels. The high level consists of 7 items : ‘Master Plan, Waste Zero Activity, Daily Improvement Activity, Talent Development, Project Activity, Initiative/Encouragement activity’. The low level consists of 3 items ‘5S, My Machine, My M&S’ for Daily Improvement Activity. As a result, we found that there was a difference between the weights of the four groups. We suggest the effective QSS+ directions to improve the quality of POSCO.
Cu-impregnated metal–organic frameworks for separation and recovery of CO from blast furnace gas

The separation and recovery of carbon monoxide (CO) from blast furnace gas (BFG) mixtures is animportant issue, as CO is a key substance in the petrochemical industry. We developed a series of Cu(I)-impregnated MIL-100(Fe) (Cu(x)@MIL-100(Fe)) with varied Cu loadings through a facile Cu(I)-loadingmethod that does not require high-temperature thermal treatment. Among these, we found that Cu(0.5)@MIL-100(Fe) is the optimal material, with a high CO/CO2 selectivity (15.4) and large working capacity(0.38 mmol/g). This material showed very high CO/CO2, CO/N2, and CO/H2 selectivities (33.3, 106.4, and98.4, respectively) for gas mixtures with a typical BFG composition, excellent CO separation from asimulated BFG mixture (CO/CO2/N2/H2 = 22:20:55:3 vol.%) under dynamicflow conditions, andreasonable air stability. These results show that Cu(0.5)@MIL-100(Fe) is an efficient adsorbent for therecovery of CO from BFG.
앱 인벤터를 활용한 인터넷 강의평가 공유 앱 어플리케이션 개발

본 연구는 블록 형태의 프로그래밍 툴인 앱 인벤터를 이용해 학생들의 학업에 대한 정보와 궁금증을 해결해 줄 수 있는 인터넷 강의평가 앱 개발을 연구하였다. 앱을 개발하는 과정에서 웹 데이터베이스와 구글 퓨전 테이블을 이용하여 로그인 기능과 사용자들에게 공유하여 볼 수 있는 게시판 기능을 추가하였다. 이 기능을 통하여 사용자간에 정보를 공유하여 인터넷강의 선정에 정보제공 방법을 연구하였다.

Based on the outcome of the rice genome sequencing, a lot of researches for identification of genes underlying useful traits and their utilization are being carried out recently. Especially, rice seed storage proteins are used as a main nutrition source for human while they are used as the nitrogen source for plant growth during seed germination. Rice seed storage proteins are divided by solubility in solvent into weak acid and alkali soluble glutelin, alcohol soluble prolamin, and salt soluble globulin. The rice genome contains 11 glutelin genes and 33 prolamin genes. In the case of prolamin genes, 15 genes are located in 15 Mb region on the chromosome 5. Clustering of seed storage protein genes on the same chromosomal region indicates that they are evolved from the same chromosome or they share similar gene expression regulatory region. Only single globulin gene existed on the chromosome 5. As a result of tissue- specific expression pattern analysis of seed storage protein genes using microarray, glutelin and most of prolamin genes were expressed only in seed endosperm, while a few prolamin and the globulin genes are expressed in seed endosperm and germinating seed. As a result of isolating promoter regions of the seed storage protein genes and analyzing their expression pattern in seed, glutelin type C1 promoter showed expression in whole seed, and glutelin type B5 and α-globulin promoter showed strong expression. This paper reviewed on the structure and expression profile of rice seed storage protein genes, and will provide information on the recent research status to the researchers who are studying on the improvement of seed traits and production of substances.

이 연구에서는 강-콘크리트 합성벽체를 위한 파이버 모델링 방법에 대하여 분석하였다. 합성벽체의 거동 특성을 고려하기 위하여, 강재요소는 압축 국부좌굴, 인장항복, 이력에너지소산을 고려하는 재료 거동을 정의하였고, 콘크리트요소에는 강재에 의한 횡구속효과를 고려한 재료거동을 정의하였다. 제안된 방법은 상용프로그램에서 제공되는 응력-변형률 관계를 바탕으로 제안하여 실무 활용성을 높였다. In this study, fiber modeling methods for steel-concrete composite walls were investigated. To consider the behavioral characteristics of composite walls, the behavior of steel elements was defined considering local buckling, tensile yielding, and hysteresis energy dissipation, and the behavior of concrete elements was defined considering confinement effects by steel elements. To facilitate practical application, the material models were proposed to be implemented by stress-strain relations embedded in commertial softwares.

Crops are exposed to various environmental stresses. These have been affecting the growth of crops, resulting in the severe loss of agronomic production in many countries. Therefore, development of new varieties of resistant crops is required to assure the desired productivity of crops in stress conditions. In this study, a putatively stress-related gene BrTSR53 was isolated from Brassica rapa. The BrTSR53 is 481 bp long and contains ORF region of 234 bp. The expression of BrTSR53 was determined by quantitative real-time PCR analysis. After 3 hr, the highest quantities of mRNA were revealed in cold and salt stress treatments. In drought stress treatments, there was the highest expression after 36 hr. Therefore, it was confirmed that the ORF in BrTSR53 should be a gene that confer increased resistance to B. rapa growing in different stress conditions. The ORF region of BrTSR53 gene was cloned into an expression vector, pYES-DEST52, and a new protein with molecular weight of 13 kDa was detected by western blot analysis. Also, stress tolerance tests showed that BrTSR53-ORF transgenic yeast exhibited increased resistance to the salt stresses compared with the control. In conclusion, the present data predicts that novel ORF in BrTSR53 can serve as an important genetic resource for abiotic stress resistance.
