      • The Mechanical Properties and Biometrical Effect of 3D Preformed Titanium Membrane for Guided Bone Regeneration on Alveolar Bone Defect

        Lee, So-Hyoun,Moon, Jong-Hoon,Jeong, Chang-Mo,Bae, Eun-Bin,Park, Chung-Eun,Jeon, Gye-Rok,Lee, Jin-Ju,Jeon, Young-Chan,Huh, Jung-Bo Hindawi 2017 BioMed research international Vol.2017 No.-

<P>The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of three-dimensional preformed titanium membrane (3D-PFTM) to enhance mechanical properties and ability of bone regeneration on the peri-implant bone defect. 3D-PFTMs by new mechanically compressive molding technology and manually shaped- (MS-) PFTMs by hand manipulation were applied in artificial peri-implant bone defect model for static compressive load test and cyclic fatigue load test. In 12 implants installed in the mandibular of three beagle dogs, six 3D-PFTMs, and six collagen membranes (CM) randomly were applied to 2.5 mm peri-implant buccal bone defect with particulate bone graft materials for guided bone regeneration (GBR). The 3D-PFTM group showed about 7.4 times higher mechanical stiffness and 5 times higher fatigue resistance than the MS-PFTM group. The levels of the new bone area (NBA, %), the bone-to-implant contact (BIC, %), distance from the new bone to the old bone (NB-OB, %), and distance from the osseointegration to the old bone (OI-OB, %) were significantly higher in the 3D-PFTM group than the CM group (<I>p</I> < .001). It was verified that the 3D-PFTM increased mechanical properties which were effective in supporting the space maintenance ability and stabilizing the particulate bone grafts, which led to highly efficient bone regeneration.</P>

      • Fundamental understandings of mesh process and various formats of digital data in digital dentistry

        Lee So-Hyoun,Jung Chang-Mo,Yoon Mi-Jung,Huh Jung-Bo,Lee Hyeonjong 대한치과이식(임프란트)학회 2021 The Korean Academy of Implant Dentistry Vol.40 No.1

Clinicians manage three-dimensional (3D) data in routine practice in the era of digital dentistry. Fundamental knowledge of digital data beyond the user’s manual provided by the companies is needed to understand and handle the 3D data in clinics. The 3D data used in the clinic are acquired by scanners and processed using a step-by-step procedure. A point cloud is an initial form of raw data. The data are then filtered, and a triangle mesh is generated. The meshes could be exported in various file formats. This fundamental knowledge would be helpful for clinicians in daily practice.

The effect of bacterial cellulose membrane compared with collagen membrane on guided bone regeneration

        So-Hyoun Lee,Youn-Mook Lim,Sung In Jeong,Sung-Jun An,Seong-Soo Kang,Chang-Mo Jeong,Jung-Bo Huh 대한치과보철학회 2015 The Journal of Advanced Prosthodontics Vol.7 No.6

PURPOSE. This study was to evaluate the effects of bacterial cellulose (BC) membranes as a barrier membrane on guided bone regeneration (GBR) in comparison with those of the resorbable collagen membranes. MATERIALS AND METHODS. BC membranes were fabricated using biomimetic technology. Surface properties were analyzed, Mechanical properties were measured, in vitro cell proliferation test were performed with NIH3T3 cells and in vivo study were performed with rat calvarial defect and histomorphometric analysis was done. The Mann-Whitney U test and the Wilcoxon signed rank test was used (α<.05). RESULTS. BC membrane showed significantly higher mechanical properties such as wet tensile strength than collagen membrane and represented a three-dimensional multilayered structure cross-linked by nano-fibers with 60 % porosity. In vitro study, cell adhesion and proliferation were observed on BC membrane. However, morphology of the cells was found to be less differentiated, and the cell proliferation rate was lower than those of the cells on collagen membrane. In vivo study, the grafted BC membrane did not induce inflammatory response, and maintained adequate space for bone regeneration. An amount of new bone formation in defect region loaded with BC membrane was significantly similar to that of collagen membrane application. CONCLUSION. BC membrane has potential to be used as a barrier membrane, and efficacy of the membrane on GBR is comparable to that of collagen membrane.

Comparison of the accuracy of digitally fabricated polyurethane model and conventional gypsum model

        So-Yeun Kim,So-Hyoun Lee,Seong-Keun Cho,Chang-Mo Jeong,Young-Chan Jeon,Mi-Jung Yun,Jung-Bo Huh 대한치과보철학회 2014 The Journal of Advanced Prosthodontics Vol.6 No.1

PURPOSE. The accuracy of a gypsum model (GM), which was taken using a conventional silicone impression technique, was compared with that of a polyurethane model (PM), which was taken using an iTero™ digital impression system. MATERIALS AND METHODS. The maxillary first molar artificial tooth was selected as the reference tooth. The GMs were fabricated through a silicone impression of a reference tooth, and PMs were fabricated by a digital impression (n=9, in each group). The reference tooth and experimental models were scanned using a 3 shape convinceTM scan system. Each GM and PM image was superimposed on the registered reference model (RM) and 2D images were obtained. The discrepancies of the points registered on the superimposed images were measured and defined as GM-RM group and PM-RM group. Statistical analysis was performed using a Student’'s T-test (α=0.05). RESULTS. A comparison of the absolute value of the discrepancyrevealed a significant difference between the two groups only at the occlusal surface. The GM group showed a smaller mean discrepancy than the PM group. Significant differences in the GM-RM group and PM-RM group were observed in the margins (point a and f), mesial mid-axial wall (point b) and occlusal surfaces (point c and d). CONCLUSION. Under the conditions examined, the digitally fabricated polyurethane model showed a tendency for a reduced size in the margin than the reference tooth. The conventional gypsum model showed a smaller discrepancy on the occlusal surface than the polyurethane model.

Internet has grown fast and become one of the most important retail channels now. Various types of Internet retailers, hereafter etailers, have been introduced so far and as one type of Internet shopping mall, 'surrogate Internet shopping mall' has been prosperous and attracting consumers in the domestic market. Surrogate Internet shopping mall is a unique type of etailer that globally purchases well-known brand goods that are not imported in the market, completes delivery in the favor of individual buyers, and collects fees for these specific services. The consumers, who are usually interested in purchasing high-end and unique but not eligible brands, have difficulties to purchase these items overseas directly from the retailers or brands in other countries due to worries of payment failure and no address available for their usually domestic only delivery. In Korea, both numbers of surrogate Internet shopping malls and the magnitude of sales have been growing rapidly up to more than 430 active malls and 500 billion Korean won in 2008 since the population of consumers who want this agent shopping service is also expending. This etail business concept is originated from 'surrogate-mediated purchase' and this type of shopping agent has existed in many different forms and also in wide ranges of context level for quite a long time. As marketers face their individual buyers' representatives instead of a direct contact with them in many occasions, the impact of surrogate shoppers on consumer's decision making has been enormously important and many scholars have explored various range of agent's impact on consumer's purchase decisions in marketing and psychology field. However, not much rigorous research in the Internet commerce has been conveyed yet. Moreover, since as one of the shopping agent surrogate Internet shopping malls specifically connect overseas brands or retailers to domestic consumers, one specific character of the mall's, image of surrogate buying country, where surrogate purchases are conducted in, may play an important role to form consumers' attitude and purchase intention toward products. Furthermore it also possibly affects various dimensions of perceived risk in consumer's information processing. However, though tremendous researches have been carried exploring the effects of diverse dimensions of country of origin, related studies in Internet context has been rarely executed. There have been some studies that prove the positive impact of country of origin on consumer's evaluations as one of information clues in product manufacture descriptions, yet studies detecting the relationship between country image of surrogate buying origin and product evaluations rarely undertaken regarding this specific mall type. Thus, the authors have found it well-worth investigating in this specific retail channel and explored systematic relationships among focal constructs and elaborated their different paths. The authors have proven that country image of surrogate buying origin in the mall, where surrogate malls purchase products in and brings them from for buyers, not only has a positive effect on consumers' product evaluations including attitude and purchase intention but also has a negative effect on all three dimensions of perceived risk: product-related risk, shipping-related risk, and post-purchase risk. Specifically among all the perceived risk, product-related risk which is arisen from high uncertainty of product performance is most affected (${\beta}$= -.30) by negative country image of surrogate buying origin, and also shipping-related risk (${\beta}$= -.18) and post-purchase risk (${\beta}$= -.15) get influenced in order. Its direct effects on product attitude (${\beta}$= .10) and purchase intention (${\beta}$= .14) are also secured. Each of perceived risk dimension is proven to have a negative effect on purchase intention through product attitude as a mediator (<T

의복,배경의 조합에 따른 시각적 이미지 연구 (제1보)

        이경희,주소현 한국의류학회 1999 한국의류학회지 Vol.23 No.1

Clothes enhance visual images through the interaction between space and background of the wearer. The influence of background is important as that of the clothes when the observer understands the images. We look at fashion pictures used as important means of advertisement these days. We can find that various backgrounds are presented depending on the image of the clothes. The clothing the model wears in the pictures, takes on shape and space which supports the clothes. The background interact to form the whole image. The background has an important influence on the delivery of image for the clothes. However, when the clothes are presented in the background, there are some cases that all or parts of clothes can be shown. We must consider the composition ratio of the clothes and background which influences the whole image of the clothing. These interactions and influences on the whole image in regards to clothing, background and the ratio will be the focus of this study. Clothing was Modem, Mannish, Casual, Feminine, Ground was decided artificial setting 1, natural setting 1, indoor setting 1, artificial setting 2, natural setting 2, indoor setting 2, Percentage of Clothing was 80%, 140%, 200%. Thus visual stimulus were 72 pictures that were combined Clothing , Ground and Percentage of Clothing. The main survey of questionary consisted of their evaluation of the Picture image combined Clothing and Ground by 30 semantic differential bi-polar scales and the subjects were 50 students majoring in clothing and textile. The data analzed by factor analysis, MCA, MDS. The major finding were as follows ; 1) As a result of factor analysis, 5 factors- Attractiveness, Hardness and softness, Cuteness, Attention, Cool and Warm factor were found out as constructing factors the Picture image combined Clothing and Ground. 2) According to multidimensional positioning map were presented in a stimilus position, the perceptive image differed in degree of similarity as a ground construction of stimulus in spite of same clothing image. It will aid in choosing the most beneficial background for any clothing brand. It will enhance the picture images to their full potential in any advertising medium.
