Surabhi Shrivastava,Laxmi Shrivastava 보안공학연구지원센터 2015 International Journal of Future Generation Communi Vol.8 No.3

The characteristic of changing topology without a fixed infrastructure and lacking of any centralization is mobile adhoc networking (MANET).The communication between mobile nodes uses multihop wireless links. In the network; nodes act as router and forwarding data packets to other nodes behaving as intermediate node. Routing protocols plays an important role to facilitate communication within the network. In this paper we have compared different transmission power by varying antenna height. Simulation results shown in AODV routing protocol in term of the metrics: Throughput, Average end to end delay, Average jitter. The results are showing various changes due to change in the selected parameters, which are performance parameters of the network.

Snake Venom Phospholipase A2 and its Natural Inhibitors

        Rahul Shrivastava,Mohammad Yasir,Ruchi Khare,Manish Kumar Tripath,Rahul Shrivastava 한국생약학회 2020 Natural Product Sciences Vol.26 No.4

Snakebite is a severe medical, economic, and social problem across the world, mostly in the tropical and subtropical area. These regions of the globe have typical of the world's venomous snakes present where access to prompt treatment is limited or not available. Snake venom is a complex mixture of toxin proteins like neurotoxin and cardiotoxin, and other enzymes like phospholipase A2 (PLA2), haemorrhaging, transaminase, hyaluronidase, phosphodiesterase, acetylcholinesterase, cytolytic and necrotic toxins. Snake venom shows a wide range of biological effects like anticoagulation or platelet aggregation, hemolysis, hypotension and edema. Phospholipase A2 is the principal constituent of snake venom; it catalyzes the hydrolysis of the sn-2 position of membrane glycerophospholipids to liberate arachidonic acid, which is the precursor of eicosanoids including prostaglandins and leukotrienes. The information regarding the structure and function of the phospholipase A2 enzyme may help in treating the snakebite victims. This review article constitutes a brief description of the structure, types, mechanism occurrence, and tests of phospholipase A2 and role of components of medicinal plants used to inhibit phospholipase A2.

      • Real-time label-free quantitative fluorescence microscopy-based detection of ATP using a tunable fluorescent nano-aptasensor platform

        Shrivastava, Sajal,Sohn, Il-Yung,Son, Young-Min,Lee, Won-Il,Lee, Nae-Eung The Royal Society of Chemistry 2015 Nanoscale Vol.7 No.46

        <▼1>
Although real-time label-free fluorescent aptasensors based on nanomaterials are increasingly recognized as a useful strategy for the detection of target biomolecules with high fidelity, the lack of an imaging-based quantitative measurement platform limits their implementation with biological samples.
</▼1><▼2>
Although real-time label-free fluorescent aptasensors based on nanomaterials are increasingly recognized as a useful strategy for the detection of target biomolecules with high fidelity, the lack of an imaging-based quantitative measurement platform limits their implementation with biological samples. Here we introduce an ensemble strategy for a real-time label-free fluorescent graphene (Gr) aptasensor platform. This platform employs aptamer length-dependent tunability, thus enabling the reagentless quantitative detection of biomolecules through computational processing coupled with real-time fluorescence imaging data. We demonstrate that this strategy effectively delivers dose-dependent quantitative readouts of adenosine triphosphate (ATP) concentration on chemical vapor deposited (CVD) Gr and reduced graphene oxide (rGO) surfaces, thereby providing cytotoxicity assessment. Compared with conventional fluorescence spectrometry methods, our highly efficient, universally applicable, and rational approach will facilitate broader implementation of imaging-based biosensing platforms for the quantitative evaluation of a range of target molecules.
</▼2>

New Data Driven Scheme for Real-Time Power System Transient Stability Assessment

Shrivastava Divya Rishi,Siddiqui Shahbaz A.,Verma Kusum 대한전기학회 2023 Journal of Electrical Engineering & Technology Vol.18 No.3

A computational efficient and precise approach for real-time power system transient stability assessment (TSA), with post disturbance synchronized data is proposed in this paper. An empirical wavelet transform (EWT), Teager Kaiser energy changes (TKE) and Random Forest (RF) based new scheme is proposed to assess TSA. Based on the generator bus frequency and angles, a novel Robust Transient Stability Index (RTSI) is proposed to capture real-time status of power network. The EWT is utilized to decompose the proposed multi-component index into various intrinsic mode functions (modes). Subsequently, instantaneous energy change within each mode is calculated using Teager–Kaiser energy operator (TKEO). The energy changes in each mode defines decision boundary between transient stable and unstable operating scenario. Finally, for each mode, standard deviation of these energy changes is obtained to measure the variations in energy change about mean value. The Random Forest classification scheme is developed to obtain the TSA in real-time. The developed classifier predicts TSA using standard deviation of these energy changes. Simulation results and comparison with relevance minimum redundancy arithmetic, deep imbalanced learning framework and improved support vector machine methods demonstrates capability of the proposed scheme.

      • IMPACT OF UV RADIATION SENSITIVITY ON DERMATOPHYTES (Microsporum boullardii)

Shrivastava, J.N.,Satsangi, G.P.,Jain, Shradha Korean Society of Photoscience 2002 Journal of Photosciences Vol.9 No.2

An experiment has been conducted to measure the impact of UV radiation sensitivity on dermatophytes (Microsporum boullardii) by different UV radiation exposure time interval (1 min, 2 min 5 min, 10 min and 20 min) in degradation of keratin (Feather) in growth promoting substances of protein, cysteine, cystine and methionine from 7 to 28 days of incubation period. Mutant strain caused maximum weight loss with 1 minutes of UV radiation exposure at 21 day and mutant strain became immune in sensitivity at 14 days for decomposition of feathers. Maximum protein caused at 21st days with 20 minutes U.V radiation exposure and immune sensitivity had deducted with other UV radiation exposure time. On 28 days, mutant strains became immune with all exposure times, Whereas maximum methionine caused at 21st days with 20 minutes UV radiation exposure. Maximum cysteine caused at $14^{th}$ day with 5 minutes UV radiation exposure and mutant strain showed immune response at all time periods. Cystine production was also followed by cysteine at 21 day and also showed complete immune response with 1 and 2 minutes UV radiation exposure at7 and 14 days. Thus mutant strain of Microspornm boullardii can be used as a biotechnological tool for production of growth promoting substances.

      • Effect of thymus extract on the activation of cytotoxic and accessory functions of tumor-associated macrophages

Shrivastava, Pratima,Singh, Sukh Mahendra,Singh, Nisha Kyung Hee Oriental Medicine Research Center 2004 Oriental pharmacy and experimental medicine Vol.4 No.1

The present investigation was under taken to study whether the tumor-associated macrophages (TAM) of Daltons lymphoma (DL), a spontaneous transplantable murine T cell lymphoma can be activated to tumoricidal state by crude thymus extract. Intraperitoneal administration of thymus extract to DL-bearing mice resulted in activation of TAM with an enhanced IL-1, TNF and antigen presenting ability. It was found that treatment with thymus extract could also enhance the phagocytic and cytotoxic activity of TAM. However, only a marginal increase in arginase activity was observed. Till date to the best of our knowledge the effect of crude thymus extract on the activation of tumor associated macrophages has not been investigated, this study provides a new piece of information in the area of thymus therapy.

        Multi-stage System for Preprocessing Mammograms

Neeraj Shrivastava,Jyoti Bharti 대한전자공학회 2020 IEIE Transactions on Smart Processing & Computing Vol.9 No.2

Breast image analysis is important for the detection and diagnosis of various diseases, but more specifically, breast cancer. The most popular and widely used screening tool is mammography. It gives a better result than other screening tools for breast image analysis. Mammograms are difficult to analyze because of noise, poor quality, artifacts, and the inclusion of pectoral muscle. The technique proposed in this paper has several stages for preprocessing mammograms. First, artifacts and the background are removed by changing the original image into a binary image using Otsu’s thresholding. The medio-lateral view of mammography images has two orientations: left or right. Orientation detection in the next step is important for pectoral muscle removal, which is done using the line segment method. Contrast is enhanced using contrast limited adaptive histogram equalization, and noise is reduced using a median filter. The proposed technique was applied to a publicly available dataset from the Mammographic Image Analysis Society, from which 322 images were analyzed, and performance parameters calculated. After calculations for accuracy, sensitivity, and specificity, the accuracy achieved was 94.62%, sensitivity achieved was 90.21%, and specificity was 97.20%.
