Designing Co7Fe3@TiO2 Core–Shell Nanospheres for Electromagnetic Wave Absorption in S and C Bands
Na Chen,Jian‑Tang Jiang,Zhen‑Jie Guan,Shao‑Jiu Yan,Liang Zhen,Cheng‑Yan Xu 대한금속·재료학회 2020 ELECTRONIC MATERIALS LETTERS Vol.16 No.5
Ferromagnetic-dielectric nanocomposites have attracted extensive interests for its high electromagnetic wave absorption(EMA) performance due to the synergetic effects between different components. Herein, we report the design of core–shellstructured Co7Fe3@TiO2 composite particles, which are subsequently annealed in H2/Ar atmosphere to further improve itsEMA performance. The introducing of TiO2dielectric shell together with hydrogen annealing contributes greatly to theelectromagnetic properties due to the increased conductivity and enhanced ferromagnetic resonance. Excellent EMA performanceis achieved in S (2–4 GHz) and C (4–8 GHz) bands in coatings using Co7Fe3@TiO2 as absorbents. Apart from thehigh EMA efficiency, the location of EMA band can be tailored in a wide range through regulating the coating thickness. Specifically, an effective absorption band of 2.0 GHz in C band at a thickness of 2.62 mm, and an effective absorption bandof 1.7 GHz are achieved in S band at thicknesses of 4.0–5.0 mm. The excellent electromagnetic properties are ascribed tothe effective complementary between dielectric loss and ferromagnetic loss.

A novel three-phase hollow fiber liquid phase microextraction was developed for the determination of malachite green (MG) in environmental waters, which selected [BMIM][PF6] mixed with 1% trioctylphosphine oxide (TOPO) as supported phase. Several parameters (accepter phase pH, sample pH, supported phase membrane, volume of accepter phase, salinity, extraction time) that could affect extraction performance were investigated. Under the optimal extraction conditions, the established approach showed excellent characters as: high enrichment factor (212), wide linear range (0.20-100 μg L-1), low detection limit (0.01 μg L-1), good reproducibility (RSD, 8.9%, n=5) and satisfactory recovery (84.0-106.2%). The method was applied to detect MG at Yangtze River and pond waters in Zhenjiang, Jiangsu province, and 4 sites among 15 sampling sites were found MG with the concentration of 1.73-11.06 μg L-1, which confirmed that the proposed environmentally friendly method was simple and effective for monitoring MG in aquatic system.

Block cipher ARIA was first proposed by some South Korean experts in 2003, and later, it was established as a Korean Standard block cipher algorithm by Korean Agency for Technology and Standards. In this paper, we focus on the security evaluation of ARIA block cipher against the recent zero-correlation linear cryptanalysis. In addition, Partial-sum technique and FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) technique are used to speed up the cryptanalysis, respectively. We first introduce some 4-round linear approximations of ARIA with zero-correlation, and then present some key-recovery attacks on 6/7-round ARIA-128/256 with the Partial-sum technique and FFT technique. The key-recovery attack with Partial-sum technique on 6-round ARIA-128 needs 2123.6 known plaintexts (KPs), 2121encryptions and 290.3 bytes memory, and the attack with FFT technique requires 2124.1KPs, 2121.5 encryptions and 290.3 bytes memory. Moreover, applying Partial-sum technique, we can attack 7-round ARIA-256 with 2124.6KPs, 2203.5 encryptions and 2152 bytes memory and 7-round ARIA-256 employing FFT technique, requires 2124.7KPs, 2209.5 encryptions and 2152 bytes memory . Our results are the first zero-correlation linear cryptanalysis results on ARIA.
A Fast Bounded Parametric Margin Model for Support Vector Machine
Jingjing Zhang,Yuaihai Shao,Zhen Wang,Wei Chen 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Signal Processing, Image Vol.9 No.3
In this paper, a fast bounded parametric margin V -support vector machine (BP-V- SVM) for classification is proposed. Different from the parametric margin V -support vector machine (par-V -SVM), the BP-V -SVM maximizes a bounded parametric margin, and consequently the successive overrelaxation (SOR) technique could be used to solve our dual problem as opposed solving the standard quadratic programming problem (QPP) in par-V -SVM. Numerical experiments on several benchmark data sets and NDC data sets demonstrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.

Multidimensional Differential-Linear Cryptanalysis of ARIA Block Cipher
Wen-Tan Yi,Jiongjiong Ren,Shao-Zhen Chen 한국전자통신연구원 2017 ETRI Journal Vol.39 No.1
ARIA is a 128-bit block cipher that has been selected as a Korean encryption standard. Similar to AES, it is robust against differential cryptanalysis and linear cryptanalysis. In this study, we analyze the security of ARIA against differential-linear cryptanalysis. We present five rounds of differential-linear distinguishers for ARIA, which can distinguish five rounds of ARIA from random permutations using only 284.8 chosen plaintexts. Moreover, we develop differential-linear attacks based on six rounds of ARIA-128 and seven rounds of ARIA-256. This is the first multidimensional differential-linear cryptanalysis of ARIA and it has lower data complexity than all previous results. This is a preliminary study and further research may obtain better results in the future.

Brucella is an intracellular pathogen that invades a host and settles in its immune cells; however, the mechanism of its intracellular survival is unclear. Modification of small ubiquitin-related modifier (SUMO) occurs in many cellular activities. E2 conjugating enzyme 9 (Ubc9) is the only reported ubiquitin-conjugating enzyme that links the SUMO molecule with a target protein. Brucella's intracellular survival mechanism has not been studied with respect to SUMO-related proteins and Ubc9. Therefore, to investigate the relationship between Brucella melitensis 16M and SUMO, we constructed plasmids and cells lines suitable for overexpression and knockdown of SUMO1 and Ubc9 genes. Brucella 16M activated SUMO1/Ubc9 expression in a time-dependent manner, and Brucella 16M intracellular survival was inhibited by SUMO1/Ubc9 overexpression and promoted by SUMO1/Ubc9 depletion. In macrophages, Brucella 16M-dependent apoptosis and immune factors were induced by SUMO1/Ubc9 overexpression and restricted by SUMO1/Ubc9 depletion. We noted no effect on the expressions of SUMO1 and Ubc9 in B. melitensis 16M lipopolysaccharide-prestimulated mouse RAW264.7 macrophages. Additionally, intracellular survival of the 16MΔVirB2 mutant was lower than that of Brucella 16M (p < 0.05). VirB2 can affect expression levels of Ubc9, thereby increasing intracellular survival of Brucella in macrophages at the late stage of infection. Collectively, our results demonstrate that B. melitensis 16M may use the VirB IV secretion system of Brucella to interact with SUMO-related proteins during infection of host cells, which interferes with SUMO function and promotes pathogen survival in host cells.

During oocyte meiosis, a spindle forms in the central cytoplasm and migrates to the cortex. Subsequently, the oocyte extrudes a small body and forms a highly polarized egg; this process is regulated primarily by actin. ROCK is a Rho-GTPase effector that is involved in various cellular functions, such as stress fiber formation, cell migration, tumor cell invasion, and cell motility. In this study, we investigated possible roles for ROCK in mouse oocyte meiosis. ROCK was localized around spindles after germinal vesicle breakdown and was colocalized with cytoplasmic actin and mitochondria. Disrupting ROCK activity by RNAi or an inhibitor resulted in cell cycle progression and polar body extrusion failure. Time-lapse microscopy showed that this may have been due to spindle migration and cytokinesis defects, as chromosomes segregated but failed to extrude a polar body and then realigned. Actin expression at oocyte membranes and in cytoplasm was significantly decreased after these treatments. Actin caps were also disrupted, which was confirmed by a failure to form cortical granule-free domains. The mitochondrial distribution was also disrupted, which indicated that mitochondria were involved in the ROCK-mediated actin assembly. In addition, the phosphorylation levels of Cofilin, a downstream molecule of ROCK, decreased after disrupting ROCK activity. Thus, our results indicated that a ROCK-Cofilinactin pathway regulated meiotic spindle migration and cytokinesis during mouse oocyte maturation.
