      • Effect of Abelmoschus manihot jinhuakui extract on collagen synthesis and osteogenesis in ovariectomized rats

        Abelmoschus manihot jinhuakui petal hot water extract(AJPH) was administered to ovariectomized female rats and the experimental groups were as follows: sham-operated rats (SHAM), ovariectomized rats (OVX-CON), ovariectomized rats supplemented with estradiol 10 μg/kg (OVX-E2) and ovariectomized rats supplemented with AJPH 50 or 200 mg/kg (OVX-AJPH50, OVX-AJPH200). Serum ALP activity was significantly increased in the OVX-CON group than in the SHAM group, on the other hand the OVX-AJPH200 group significantly decreased than the OVX-CON group, and showed a similar level to the SHAM group. The content of NTx and CTx in the serum was significantly increased in the OVX-CON group than in the SHAM group. Both OVX-E2 and AJPH groups decreased significantly compared to the OVX-CON group and decreased to the same level as the SHAM group. The collagen content in the bone and cartilage tissues was significantly decreased in the OVX-CON group with ovariectomy compared with the SHAM group, and increased in the OVX-E2 group and the AJPH groups. Therefore, the AJPH is expected to have a positive effect on bone by suppressing bone loss due to ovariectomy.

        특수학교에서의 긍정적 행동지원 운영 사례에 대한 연구

        연구목적: C교육청에서 운영하는 긍정적 행동지원 중점학교 사례를 통해 특수학교에서의 긍정적 행동지원 운영에 필요한 실제적 지식과 이를 바탕으로 효과적인 실행을 위한 지원 방향에 대해 알아보고자 한다. 연구방법: 5개 긍정적 행동지원 중점학교 운영에 참여한 5명의 담당 부장교사를 대상으로 특수학교에서의 긍정적 행동지원 평가목록을 활용하여 긍정적 행동지원 중점학교 운영의 질적수준을 확인하였다. 평가목록에 따른 평가 결과를 토대로 중점학교의 구체적 실행 상황을 이해하기 위한 면담을 진행하였으며 핵심어휘 추출 및 분류작업으로 면담 자료를 분석하였다. 연구결과: 특수학교에서의 긍정적 행동지원 중점학교 운영의 질적 수준은 5개교 평균 82.73으로 매우 우수한 것으로 평가되었다. 긍정적 행동지원 중점학교 실제 운영 상황에 대한 면담 내용은 분석 결과 사람, 시스템, 문화와 관련된 핵심 내용이 도출되었다. 논의 및 제언: C교육청 특수학교에서의 긍정적 행동지원 중점학교 운영 사례는 C교육청 및 긍정적 행동지원을 운영하는 다른 지역의 특수학교에 실제적 문제해결을 위한 또 다른 사례가 될 것이다. Research Objective: This study aims to explore practical knowledge essential for the effective implementation of positive behavior support in special schools, using a case study of a school with a focus on positive behavior support operated by the C Education Office. The intention is to understand the practical knowledge required and to identify support strategies for the successful execution of positive behavior support in special education settings. Research Method: The study involved five head teachers responsible for the operation of five schools emphasizing positive behavior support in special education. The qualitative level of the operation of positive behavior support in these schools was assessed using an evaluation checklist. Based on the evaluation results, interviews were conducted to understand the specific implementation situations of the schools. The interview data were analyzed through keyword extraction, categorization, and classification. Research Findings: The qualitative level of positive behavior support in the operation of schools emphasizing positive behavior support in special education was evaluated as very high, with an average score of 82.73 across the five schools. The analysis of interview data revealed key themes related to people, systems, and culture in the actual operational situations of schools emphasizing positive behavior support. Discussion and Recommendations: The case of operating schools with a focus on positive behavior support in the C Education Office's special education provides a practical example for problem-solving in other special schools operated by the C Education Office and in different regions implementing positive behavior support.

        Evaluation of cryogenic tensile properties of composite materials fabricated by fused deposition modeling 3D printer

        Recently, research on applying composite materials to various industrial fields is being actively conducted. In particular, composite materials fabricated by Fused Deposition Modeling 3D printers have more advantages than existing materials as they have fewer restrictions on manufacturing shape, reduce the time required, weight. With these advantages, it is possible to consider utilizing composite materials in cryogenic environments such as the application of liquid oxygen and liquid hydrogen, which are mainly used in an aerospace and mobility. However, FDM composite materials are not verified in cryogenic environments less than 150K. This study evaluates the characteristics of composite materials such as tensile strength and strain using a UTM (Universal Testing Machine). The specimen is immersed in liquid nitrogen (77 K) to cool down during the test. The specimen is fabricated using 3D print, and can be manufactured by stacking reinforced fibers such as carbon fiber, fiber glass, and aramid fiber (Kevlar) with base material (Onyx). For the experimental method and specimen shape, international standards ASTM D638 and ASTM D3039 for tensile testing of composite materials were referenced.

        Investigation on helix type labyrinth seal to minimize leakage flow of cryogen for rotating superconducting machines

        High-temperature superconducting rotors offer advantages in terms of output-to-weight ratio and efficiency compared to conventional phase conduction motors or generators. The rotor can be cooled by conduction cooling, which attaches a cryocooler, and by refrigerant circulation, which uses circulating liquid or gas neon, helium and hydrogen. Recent work has focused on environmental issues and on high-temperature superconducting motors cooled with liquid hydrogen that can be combined with fuel cells. However, to ensure smooth supply and return of the cryogenic cooling fluid, a cryogenic rotational coupling between the rotating and stationary parts is necessary. Additionally, the development of a sealing structure to minimize fluid leakage applicable to the coupling is essential. This study describes the design and performance evaluation of a non-contact sealing method, specifically a labyrinth seal, which avoids power loss and heat load caused by friction in contact sealing structures. The seal design incorporates a spiral flow path to reduce leakage using centrifugal force, and computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations were conducted to analyze the flow path and rotational speed. A performance evaluation device was configured and employed to evaluate the designed seal. The results of this study will be used to develop a cryogenic rotational coupling with supply and return flow paths for cryogenic applications.
