A machine learning approach for detecting and tracking road boundary lanes

Road boundary lanes are one of the serious causes of road accidents and it affects the driver and people’s safety. Detecting road boundary lanes is a challenging task for both computer vision and machine learning approaches. In recent years many machine learning algorithms have been deploying but they failed to produce high efficiency and accuracy. This paper presents a novel approach to alert the driver when the car leaps beyond the Road boundary lanes by employing machine learning techniques to avoid road mishaps and ensuring driving safety. Performance is assessed through the generation of experimental results on the dataset. When compared with state-of-the-art lane detection techniques, the proposed technique produced high precision and high efficiency.

<P>In this manuscript, a variable sampling decision rule for product acceptance is proposed when the additional or auxiliary information is available for the quality characteristics under study. The auxiliary information is usually correlated with the quality characteristics and so the regression estimator is used to develop the proposed sampling plan. To find the plan parameters, the two-point approach is adopted such that producer's risk and consumer's risk are satisfied. The advantage of the proposed plan is discussed with the usual single plan without auxiliary information. Tables are given for practical uses and explained with the help of industrial examples.</P>
Biconnectivity, st-numbering and other applications of DFS using O(n) bits

<P>We consider space efficient implementations of some classical applications of DFS including the problem of testing biconnectivity and 2-edge connectivity, finding cut vertices and cut edges, computing chain decomposition and st-numbering of a given undirected graph G on n vertices and m edges. Classical algorithms for them typically use DFS and some Omega(1gn) bits(1) of information at each vertex. Building on a recent O (n)-bits implementation of DFS due to Elmasry et al. (STACS 2015) we provide O (n)-bit implementations for all these applications of DFS. Our algorithms take O (m lg(c) n IgIgn) time for some small constant c (where c <= 2). Central to our implementation is a succinct representation of the DFS tree and a space efficient partitioning of the DFS tree into connected subtrees, which maybe of independent interest for designing other space efficient graph algorithms. Real Exchange Rate Misalignment in Pakistan: An Application of Regime Switching Modelㅎ

This study investigates the key determinants of exchange rate (RER) misalignment for the period 1991 to 2020. The BEER technique has been used to estimate the degree of the equilibrium exchange rate. To explore the actual exchange rate misalignment and to assess the behavior of variables that are different in different regimes of undervaluation and overvaluation, the nonlinear technique of Markov regime-switching (MSM) was applied. The mean and variance of each regime are highly significant and show that undervaluation episodes have a low mean (116.139) and more volatility (1.229) while overvaluation episodes have a high mean (126.732) with less volatility (0.871). The findings show that MSM accurately identifies exchange rate misalignment in both regimes as separate incidents of overvaluation and undervaluation. Results further depict that misalignment of the RER is affected by terms of trade, net foreign assets, interest differential, government investment, and consumption decision. Results recommend that if policymakers want to use the exchange rate as a policy tool, they must first consider the drivers of the equilibrium exchange rate. As a result, any deliberate actions to address exchange rate misalignment must focus on the underlying fundamentals that drive the exchange rate.

<P>SUMMARY: WEbcoli is a WEb application for in silico designing, analyzing and engineering Escherichia coli metabolism. It is devised and implemented using advanced web technologies, thereby leading to enhanced usability and dynamic web accessibility. As a main feature, the WEbcoli system provides a user-friendly rich web interface, allowing users to virtually design and synthesize mutant strains derived from the genome-scale wild-type E.coli model and to customize pathways of interest through a graph editor. In addition, constraints-based flux analysis can be conducted for quantifying metabolic fluxes and charactering the physiological and metabolic states under various genetic and/or environmental conditions. Analysis and Comparison of Tree Indexing Structures in Flash Memory Models

현재 플래시 메모리 장치들은 다양한 곳에 이용되고 있으며 기존의 외부 저장 장치들을 빠르게 대체하고 있다. 플래시 메모리 하에서 자료들을 효과적으로 저장하기 위해서는 이에 적합한 파일 시스템과 인덱스 구조를 사용할 필요가 있으며 이에 대해 많은 연구가 이루어져 왔다. 하지만 플래시 메모리 모델에 대한 이론적인 기반의 부족으로 인해 이 구조들의 성능을 서로 비교하기 힘들었으며 기존의 외부 메모리 모델은 플래시 메모리의 특징들을 반영하는 데 있어 어려움이 있어 왔다. 이 논문에서 우리는 플래시 메모리에 적합하게 제안 된 다양한 인덱스 구조들에 대해 알아보고 최근에 제안된 플래시 메모리 모델을 사용하여 이들의 성능을 분석한다. Flash memory devices are becoming ubiquitous and indispensable storage devices, partly even replacing the traditional hard-disks. To store data efficiently on these devices, it is necessary to adapt the existing file systems and indexing structures to work well on the flash memory, and a significant amount of research in this field has been devoted to designing such structures. But it is hard to compare these structures owing to the lack of any theoretical memory models for flash memory and since the existing external memory models fail to capture the full potential of flash-based storage devices. In this paper we study various index structures that have been shown to perform well on flash memory, and analyze them in the recently proposed flash memory models.
