정칙개집합과 정칙반개집합의 정의에 의하여, 우리는 그들의 제 성질들을 알아보고, 정칙개집합의 분할에 관한정리, 즉 정칙개집합이 되기 위한 필요충분조건은 개집합이고 동시에 정칙반개집합임을 보인다. 끝으로 새로운 분리공리들을 정의하여 그들 상호간의 포함관계를 알아본다. By definitions of a regular open set and a regular semiopen set, we find their properties and show the theorem on the decomposition of a regular open set, that is, a set is regular open if and only if it is open and regular semiopen. Finally, we define new separation axioms and find the implications between them in the part 'application'.

Properties of s-connected spaces

이 논문에서는 s-연결 공간의 여러가지 성질을 알아보고 논문 [7]의 몇 가지 결과들을 일반화한다. Two subsets A and B of a topological space X are said to be semiseparated iff A∩scl(B)=Φ=scl(A)∩B and X is said to be s-connected iff it can not be expressed as a union of two nonempty semiseparated sets. The present paper will give some properties and characterizations of s-connected spaces and some results in [7]are improved.

Chlorophytum borivilianum Baker (Antharicaceae) comonly referred as ‘Safed Musli’ has beenwidely used in the Indian traditional systems of medicine to treat various diseases like rheumatism apart fromaphordisiac properties. C. borivilianum was screened for the first time to determine its antioxidant activity,isolation of the sapogenins and standardization of the isolated sapogenin fraction using HPTLC. Potent antioxidantactivity of ethanolic extract was found by their ability to scavenge DPPH (84.51%), hydroxyl radical (48.95 %),feryl bi-pyridyl complex (84.53%) along with the inhibition of lipid peroxidation (67.17%) at 100g/mlconcentration. The ethanolic extract also exhibited significant inhibition of superoxide anion radical generated byplant in the traditional system especially its use as a Rasayana drug.
Orbital anisotropy in SnO<sub>2</sub> thin films and its modification by swift heavy ion irradiation

We report on the observation of a strong orbital anisotropy in the orthorhombic phase of SnO<SUB>2</SUB> thin films and its modification by swift heavy ion (SHI) irradiation. Structural investigations along with the Raman spectroscopy show a significant distortion of the SnO<SUB>6</SUB> octahedra after SHI irradiation. The X-ray absorption and X-ray linear dichroism (XLD) experiments provide the direct evidences of change in orbital anisotropy/electronic structure due to orbital reconstruction in the SnO<SUB>2</SUB> lattice after irradiation. The XLD measurements at the O K edge confirm the deterioration in the SnO<SUB>6</SUB> octahedra due to controlled structural disorder induced by SHI irradiation.
Electronic Structure of Co-doped ZnO Thin Films by X-ray Absorption and Emission Spectroscopy

The electronic structure of Co-doped ZnO thin films, synthesized with a nominal composition of Zn1−xCoxO (x = 0.03, 0.05, 0.7, 0.10, and 0.15) by using spray pyrolysis method, has been investigated using near edge X-ray absorption fine structure (NEXAFS) measurements at the O K- and the Co L3,2-edges and using resonant inelastic X-ray scattering (RIXS) measurements at Co L3,2-edge. All the prepared Zn1−xCoxO thin films showed ferromagnetic behavior at room temperature, as measured by using an alternating gradient force magnetometer (AGFM). The intensity of the pre-edge spectral feature at the O K-edge increases with the Co concentration, which clearly reveals that there is strong hybridization of O 2p − Co 3d atoms in the ZnO matrix. Spectral features of the Co L3,2-edge NEXAFS exhibit multiple absorption peaks and are similar to those of Co2+ ions coordinated in tetrahedral symmetry by four oxygen atoms. These results clearly demonstrate that Co is in a 2+ state, substituting at the Zn site. Co L3,2-edge RIXS measurements show that the substitution by Co atoms can explain the magnetic interaction in Co-doped ZnO. We report on the element-specific magnetic characterization of Ni nanoparticles (NPs) embedded in Al<SUB>2</SUB>O<SUB>3</SUB> (001) matrix prepared by ion-implantation (Ni:5x10<SUP>16</SUP>-2x10<SUP>17</SUP>ionscm<SUP>-2</SUP>) technique. The X-ray diffraction studies reveal the coexistence of fcc Ni NPs of average size ~8-19nm along with the other NiO<SUB>x</SUB> phases. X-ray magnetic circular dichroism (XMCD) experiments demonstrate the competing nature of magnetic interactions between the Ni NPs and NiO<SUB>x</SUB> phases. The ferromagnetism at 10K (for all the Ni implants) is related to the combined contribution of both phases, while the room temperature superparamagnetism at higher fluence is dominated by Ni NPs phase as confirmed by Ni L<SUB>3,2</SUB> XMCD measurements.

Much progress has been made since the first published report on application of remote sensing in mangrove mapping nearly 40 years ago. Remote sensing is now a widely used proxy in mangrove ecosystem related research mostly due to increased affordability of data and ease of access. This work reviews previous works on mangrove forests using remote sensing techniques with an aim to identify the best combinations of sensors, methods of image processing and vegetation indices for future studies. It was observed that higher accuracies were directly related to sensor resolution and expertise of the authors. From the imageries used, Quickbird had the highest accuracies (* 100%) whereas aerial photos had * 93% accuracy and IRS LISS recorded (76–97%). Accuracies for Landsat images classified using hybrid approaches were up to 88% while AVIRIS and ASTER, gave up to 99% accuracies. Sentinel images also produced very high accuracy levels. Non parametric methods using machine learning techniques produced the highest levels of accuracy (up to 99%). But not all datasets are freely available and the cost of procuring datasets varies from country to country. This suggests that remote sensing of mangrove vegetation pose some serious challenges that require careful considerations in order to obtain better results. An in-depth understanding of the factors affecting the interaction between electro-magnetic radiation and mangrove vegetations in the environment, selection of images with appropriate spatial and spectral resolution and use of proper processing techniques for extracting spectral information is a must. This review paper thus, can be considered as a convenient asset to the researchers involved in assessing the mangrove environment by remote sensing technique.
