e-Friendly Personalized Learning

This paper presents a learning framework that fits the digital age - an e-Friendly PLE. The learning framework is based on the theory of connectivism which asserts that knowledge and the learning of knowledge is distributive and is not located in any given place but rather consists of the network of connections formed from experiences and interactions with a knowing community, thus, the newly empowered learner is thinking and interacting in new ways. The framework's approach to learning is based on conversation and interaction, on sharing, creation and participation, on learning not as a separate activity, but rather as embedded in meaningful activities such as games or workflows. It sees learning as an active, personal inquiry, interpretation, and construction of meaning from prior knowledge and experience with one's actual environment.
ECC based Authentication Scheme for Securing Data Contents over Open Wireless Network Systems

Multimedia contents have been increasingly available over the Internet as wireless networks systems are continuously growing popular. Unlimited access from various users has led to unauthorized access of third parties or adversaries. This paper deals with the implementation of elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) based user authentication for securing multimedia contents over the Internet. The ECC technique has been incorporated with the advanced encryption standard (AES) algorithm to ensure the complexity of the proposed authentication scheme and to guarantee authenticity of multimedia services.

When we started discussing this topic with our customers, and we had obtained very interesting feedbacks. First of all, they all think that this is just a buzzword that all the people are talking about and nobody has already seen someone who is doing something reasonable. Then they had a feeling that big data and hadoop are synonyms and moreover that hadoop is something that is dedicated just to the processing of unstructured data – mainly text data [1][2] In this paper, we will show you that this is not the truth – at least from IBM’s point of view. Another reason that big data is a hot topic in the market today is the new technology that enables an organization to take advantage of the natural resource of big data. Big data itself isn’t new it’s been here for a while and growing exponentially. What’s new is the technology to process and analyze it. The purpose of big data technology is to cost effectively manage and analyze all of the available data. Any data, as is. If you want to analyze structured data, then structure it. If you want to analyze an acoustic file, then analyze the acoustic file with appropriate analytics.
U-Learning: An Interactive Social Learning Model

This paper presents the concepts of ubiquitous computing technology to construct a ubiquitous learning environment that enables learning to take place anywhere at any time. This ubiquitous learning environment is described as an environment that supports students' learning using digital media in geographically distributed environments. The u-learning model is a web-based e-learning system that could enable learners to acquire knowledge and skills through interaction between them and the ubiquitous learning environment. Students are allowed to be in an environment of their interest. The communication between devices and the embedded computers in the environment allows learner to learn while they are moving, hence, attaching them to their learning environment.
