Multiple Framework QoE Model based Energy Efficient Transmission Strategy in LTE Networks
Ge Zhihui,Tang Liping,Li Taoshen,Li Qinghua 보안공학연구지원센터 2016 International Journal of Future Generation Communi Vol.9 No.8
Wireless technology is continuously evolving, and the development of new versions of adaptive protocols and mechanisms are at their peak to achieve high performance in network-based applications and services. LTE networks offer broadband wireless access to users who can benefit from high data rate applications such as video streaming. However, the high energy consumption of these applications has not been considered. The end user quality of experience (QoE) of video delivery over a radio network is mainly influenced by the radio parameters in the radio access network. This paper will present a multiple framework QoE model for video delivery over LTE, denoted as MQoE that measures the overall perceived quality of mobile video delivery from subjective user experience and objective system performance. We propose a QoE-based energy efficient mechanism to reduce smartphones’ power consumption. We have done a series of experiments to verify the efficiency of this model. Experiment results show that MQoE has significant improvement at energy efficiency

Glycogen plays important roles in bacteria. Its structure and storage capability have received more attention recently because of the potential correlations with environmental durability and pathogenicity. However, the low level of intracellular glycogen makes extraction and structure characterization difficult, inhibiting functional studies. Bacteria grown in regular media such as lysogeny broth and tryptic soy broth do no accumulate large amounts of glycogen. Comparative analyses of bacterial media reported in literature for glycogen-related studies revealed that there was no consistency in the recipes reported. Escherichia coli DH5α is a convenient model organism for gene manipulation studies with respect to glycogen. Additionally, M9 minimal salts medium is widely used to improve glycogen accumulation, although its composition varies. In this study, we optimized the M9 medium by adjusting the concentrations of itrogen source, tryptone, carbon source, and glucose, in order to achieve a balance between the growth rate and glycogen accumulation. Our result showed that 1 × M9 minimal salts medium containing 0.4% tryptone and 0.8% glucose was a well-balanced nutrient source for enhancing the growth and glycogen storage in bacteria. This result will help future investigations related to bacterial physiology in terms of glycogen function.
Task Allocation of Intelligent Warehouse Picking System based on Multi-robot Coalition
( Fei Xue ),( Hengliang Tang ),( Qinghua Su ),( Tao Li ) 한국인터넷정보학회 2019 KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Syst Vol.13 No.7
In intelligent warehouse picking system, the allocation of tasks has an important influence on the efficiency of the whole system because of the large number of robots and orders. The paper proposes a method to solve the task allocation problem that multi-robot task allocation problem is transformed into transportation problem to find a collision-free task allocation scheme and then improve the capability of task processing. The task time window and the power consumption of multi-robot (driving distance) are regarded as the utility function and the maximized utility function is the objective function. Then an integer programming formulation is constructed considering the number of task assignment on an agent according to their battery consumption restriction. The problem of task allocation is solved by table working method. Finally, simulation modeling of the methods based on table working method is carried out. Results show that the method has good performance and can improve the efficiency of the task execution.

Background: Clinical dexamethasone (DEX) treatment or stress in bovines results in extensive physiological changes with prominent hyperglycemia and neutrophils dysfunction. Objectives: To elucidate the effects of DEX treatment in vivo on cellular energy status and the underlying mechanism in circulating neutrophils. Methods: We selected eight-month-old male bovines and injected DEX for 3 consecutive days (1 time/d). The levels of glucose, total protein (TP), total cholesterol (TC), and the proinflammatory cytokines interleukin (IL)-1β, IL-6 and tumor necrosis factor (TNF)-α in blood were examined, and we then detected glycogen and adenosine triphosphate (ATP) content, phosphofructosekinase-1 (PFK1) and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (G6PDH) activity, glucose transporter (GLUT)1, GLUT4, sodium/glucose cotransporter (SGLT)1 and citrate synthase (CS) protein expression and autophagy levels in circulating neutrophils. Results: DEX injection markedly increased blood glucose, TP and TC levels, the Ca2+/P5+ ratio and the neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio and significantly decreased blood IL-1β, IL-6 and TNF-α levels. Particularly in neutrophils, DEX injection inhibited p65-NFκB activation and elevated glycogen and ATP contents and SGLT1, GLUT1 and GR expression while inhibiting PFK1 activity, enhancing G6PDH activity and CS expression and lowering cell autophagy levels. Conclusions: DEX induced neutrophils glucose uptake by enhancing SGLT1 and GLUT1 expression and the transformation of energy metabolism from glycolysis to pentose phosphate pathway (PPP)-tricarboxylic acid (TCA) cycle. This finding gives us a new perspective on deeper understanding of clinical anti-inflammatory effects of DEX on bovine.

The agricultural residuals buckwheat hulls in the region of Jiaodong, China (BHJC) were employed to adsorb Au(III) ions both in the spiked samples and the gold-plating wastewater samples, and the relevant adsorption kinetics and isotherms were investigated. The investigation on the adsorption selectivity showed that BHJC displayed strong affinity for gold in the aqueous solutions. Furthermore, the process optimization was performed using response surface methodology (RSM), the quantitative relationship between the gold uptake and the different levels of experimental factors was used to work out optimized levels of these parameters.
