The production of colloidal suspensions of graphene-based nano-platelets in large scale is highly important for their use in practical applications. In this work, we developed a new route for generation of colloidal suspensions of N-modified graphene-based nano-platelets (A-rG-O) with high concentration in water or organic solvent/water mixed systems by the reaction between graphene oxide and ammonium hydroxide. Graphene oxide was reduced by the ammonium hydroxide and N atoms (up to 6 at%) were introduced into A-rG-O materials using solution process without further thermal treatment. Such A-rG-O nano-platelets were well dispersed as individual layers in both systems. Macroscopic free-standing A-rG-O paper materials with good electrical conductivity were produced by filtration of such colloidal suspensions.

화강토와 관련된 지반문제의 거동예측을 위한 수치해석의 적용이 양적인 면에서는 많이 확대되어왔지만 해석결과에 지대한 영향을 미치는 구성방정식 등 수치해석 모델링을 개선하고자 하는 노력은 부족하였다. 화강토 거동의 특징은 내재적 결합력으로 인한 구조화의 거동을 나타내는 것이며, 항복면이 평균유효응력 축에 대칭이고 Non-associated 소성거동을 보인다는 점이다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 화강토 거동을 표현하기 위하여 일반화된 한계상태모델을 도입하고, 이를 화강토의 경화거동 모델링이 가능하도록 확장하였다. 제안된 모델을 이용한 삼축시험의 유한요소 시뮬레이션 결과는 측정결과와 좋은 일치를 보였다. 화강토 지반내 터널에 대한 유한요소해석을 수행한 결과, 비선형 탄성모델과 조합된 확장된 한계상태모델이 현장계측결과와 잘 일치하는 결과를 주었다.

The separation of a binary system by a cyclic pressure swing technique using Molecular Sieves usually consists of four general steps. They are pressurization, adsorption, depressurzation and purge steps. This work discusses a method of predicting the varying pressure steps theoretically when pure component isotherms and the knowledge of relative adsorptivity are available. The comparison of computer results using method of characteristics with the experimental data is presented.

Purpose: We sought to determine if organ preservation (OP) with neoadjuvant chemoradiation (CRT) was feasible in patients with sinonasal cancer determined to require exenteration. Materials and Methods: Twenty patients were determined to require exenteration for definitive treatment from 2005 to 2014. Fourteen patients underwent OP and 6 patients received exenteration with adjuvant CRT. Exenteration free survival (EFS), locoregional control (LRC), progression-free survival (PFS), and overall survival (OS) were estimated. Results: Five patients (36%) receiving OP had complete disease response at time of surgery. With a median follow-up of 18.8 months, EFS was 62% at 2 years for patients undergoing OP. At 2 years, there were no significant differences in LRC, PFS or OS (all all p > 0.050) between the groups. Less grade 3 or greater toxicity was seen in patients undergoing OP (p = 0.003). Visual function was preserved in all patients undergoing OP. Conclusion: For patients with sinonasal cancer, OP may avoid exenteration, offering similar disease control and improved toxicity.
