Buffalo meat patties with two fat levels, F1 (15% added fat) and F2 (5% added fat and 3% tapioca starch), were cooked in a pre-heated hot air oven (HO) at $175{\pm}2^{\circ}C$ for 15 min, in a microwave oven (MO) for 70 sec and by pressure cooking (PC) at 15 psi pressure for 10 min. and compared for physico-chemical, processing, sensory and microbiological quality attributes. F2 had significantly (p<0.05) higher value for the moisture and moisture protein ratio than F1. However, MO and PC patties had significantly (p<0.05) higher moisture content than HO-cooked buffalo meat patties irrespective of fat content. Highest fat percentage was in MO patties while the minimum was in PC patties. Moisture and fat retention and cooking yield were highest in MO patties irrespective of added fat content in the formulation. Cooking yield and dimensional parameters were better maintained in F2 than F1. Sensory scores viz. appearance and color, flavour, juiciness and texture for HO patties were better than other cooking methods. Sensory panelists rated overall acceptability of HO patties very good to excellent, whereas PC and MO patties were rated as good to very good irrespective of fat content. Microbiological quality was comparable in both groups irrespective of cooking methods used.

For this study, a microcrystalline Ba(Zr0.05Ti0.95)O3 (BZT) powder was prepared by a high energy ball milling method followed by calcination at 1100 C for 4 h. The calcined powder was structurally characterized by X-ray diffraction and Rietveld refinement data, which showed that this material has a perovskite-type tetragonal structure with a space group of (P4mmm). The micro-Raman spectrum revealed local lattice distortions due to distorted octahedral [TiO6] clusters. The temperature and frequency-dependent dielectric study of the BZT ceramic showed normal phase transition behavior. The ferroelectric property was studied by a PeE hysteresis loop. Optical band gap was investigated by ultravioletevisible (UVevis) absorption spectroscopy at room temperature. The UVevis spectrum indicated that the BZT powder has an optical band gap of 3.15 eV.

<P>In this paper, we study the Hyers-Ulam stability of a simple Levi-Civita functional equation f(x+y)=f(x)h(y)+f(y) and its pexiderization f(x+y)= g(x) h(y)+k(y) on non-unital commutative semigroups by investigating the functional inequalities |f(x+y)-f(x)h(y)-f(y)|a parts per thousand currency signoee- and |f(x+y)-g(x)h(y)-k(y)|a parts per thousand currency signoee-, respectively. We also study the bounded solutions of the simple Levi-Civita functional inequality.</P>

The present study deals with the parametric resonance behaviour of laminated composite curved shell panels in a hygrothermal environment using Bolotin’s approach. A simple laminated model is developed using first order shear deformation theory (FSDT) for the vibration and dynamic stability analysis of laminated composite shells subjected to hygrothermal conditions. A computer program based on the finite element method (FEM) in a MATLAB environment is developed to perform all necessary computations. Quantitative results are presented to show the effects of curvature, ply-orientations, degree of orthotropy and geometry of laminates on the parametric instability of composite curved shell panels for different temperature and moisture concentrations. The excitation frequencies of laminated composite panels decrease with the increase of temperature and moisture due to reduction of stiffness for all laminates.
Hulthén Half-off-Shell T Matrix-Application to n-p and n-d Systems
A. K. Behera,U. Laha,P. Sahoo,J. Bhoi 한국물리학회 2020 THE JOURNAL OF THE KOREAN PHYSICAL SOCIETY Vol.76 No.9
In a previous paper, one of us (UL) constructed an exact analytical expression for the irregular (Jost) solution, off the energy shell, for the Hulthén potential by using the method of ordinary differential equation along with the properties of certain special functions of mathematical physics. In the present text, closed form expressions for the off-shell irregular solution and half-off-shell T-matrix for motion in the Hulthén potential are re-derived by using the direct integration approach to the problem under consideration. We demonstrate the usefulness of our expressions through some model calculations and achieve excellent agreement between bound-and scattering-state observables and standard results.
Synchronization and Operation of Parallel Inverters using Droop Control
L. K. Sahoo,N. D. Thakur,K. Rai,P Sensarma,R. D. Jha,P. Mohanty,A Sharma 전력전자학회 2011 ICPE(ISPE)논문집 Vol.2011 No.5
To obtain a continuous power supply Distributed Generation (DG) with a Decentralized Power System (DPS), i.e. replacing a single UPS unit with multiple, smaller units in parallel, is emerging as new paradigm. The technically challenging aspect of DPS is the synchronization of inverters and load sharing among the parallel connected inverters. In this paper, a control method is proposed and implemented for synchronization and parallel operation of inverters. Droop control method has been used for equal power sharing, and design of power control loop. The design issues for voltage control loop are analyzed with the discussion of relative stability of the system. A current control loop is designed and analyzed to provide synchronization between the inverters.

Iron ore grindability improvement by microwave pre-treatment
P. Kumar,B.K. Sahoo,S. De,D.D. Kar,S. Chakraborty,B.C. Meikap 한국공업화학회 2010 Journal of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry Vol.16 No.5
The influence ofmicrowave pre-treatment on grindability of iron ore (Orissa, India) was investigated by grindability tests. SEM analysis characterized the micro-fractures in microwave treated sample. This may be due to the thermal stress cracking resulted from microwave energy pre-treatment. XRD analysis showed the crystalline content of the sample. It was found that the microwave treated iron ore has peak more than that of untreated ore, i.e. the crystallinity increased with the microwave exposure time. The calculation of HGGI indicated increase in the ease of grinding or decrease in grindability index of the microwave treated ore. Grindability test showed that the microwave treated iron ore grinds much more rapidly initially than the untreated ore. The results showed that the breakage function of both microwave untreated and treated iron ore is dependent of the particle size. The grindability increased significantly as a result of microwave pre-treatment with the specific rate of breakage (Si) increasing by an average of 50%. It was concluded that microwave assisted grinding produced good results particularly for grinding characteristics. 2010 The Korean Society of Industrial and Engineering Chemistry. Nanofiller as Vulcanizing Aid for Styrene-Butadiene Elastomer
Sahoo, N.G.,Das, C.K.,Panda, A.B.,Pramanik, P. The Polymer Society of Korea 2002 Macromolecular Research Vol.10 No.6
The use of ZnO and stearic acid is very well known in sulfenamide accelerated sulfur vulcanization of diene elastomers. Zn-ion coated nano filler has been developed and tested, in styrene-butadiene rubber (SBR) as sulfur vulcanizing activator cum reinforcing filler. In this study Zinc oxide has been replaced by the Zn-ion coated nano silica filler with an aim to study the dual role of this nanofiller in SBR. The presence of Zn-ion on the nano silica filler surface activates the sulfur vulcanization by involving Zn++ in to the sulfurating complex formed with thiazole from sulfenamide. The increase of Zn-ion, on the nanofiller, decrease the scorch safety of the elastomer compound but increase the tensile strength, state of cure and tear strength and attain maximum at its 10% level. The presence of stearic acid increases the rate of vulcanization. Replacement of stearic acid with mono-stearate, however, increases the vulcanization rate but decrease the ultimate state of cure. A mechanistic scheme involving dual function of this nanofiller has been suggested.
