Lake Suwa is a natural lake which is well-known for sightseeing and fisheries. It had suffered severe eutrophication during 1960s and 1970s with the occurrence of cyanobacterial blooms and the extinction of some benthic animals. Since 1980 water quality has been improved due to efforts of local government, scientists, and citizens. Of various methods that were attempted to improve the water quality of Lake Suwa biological methods received much attention, because it can improve the lake ecosystem integrity and fisheries in addition to the water quality. The aim of this paper is to introduce the biological methods for water quality improvement that had been employed in Lake Suwa, Japan, and their contribution to the economic benefit of local residents. Until now a significant restoration of water quality has been achieved, but there are insufficient recovery of the sediment and biota due to anoxic hypolimnion of the lake. This study proposed suspended cage culture of bivalves as a feasible method of water quality improvement. Increased grazing by bivalves will contribute to the improvement of water quality and fisheries production, which will contribute both to the ecological restoration and economy of local residents.

Our economic base (value driver) is now greatly changing into the knowledge creation type society by which the intellectual capital is weighted from the material production type society. The intellectual capital can include these cultural resources in addition to three core capital; human capital, structural capital, and relational capital. In the other side, Kyoto Protocol resolved in 1997 recommended that we should try to have an action to maintain the global environment. If the cultural resources are included in a part of the global environment, the financing is needed to maintain the cultural resources. The aim of the report is to explore the necessity for the accounting valuation of the cultural resources to be used to explain (1) the competitive advantage in the revenue acquisition activity and (2) the competitive advantage in the financing.

Our economic base in the capitalistic society is radically changing along the way toward the transition from ownership of physical assets to access of intellectual capital (non-physical, intangible assets). In a traditional society that the value driver is manufacturing, it was said that the short-term relation that business exchanged individual physical assets with consumer in the market, and completed the dealings after the move of the property right. On the other hand, in the new society of the knowledge, it is important to create the construction of the long-term relative that begins and continues the dealings between business and consumer, as consumer conclude the contract to access an intellectual property (knowledge) on the network and to approve the temporary using right with business. Rifkin[2001] point out that the role of goods and service is changing and it is shifting from the age of industrial production to the age of cultural production, in the view of the earnings acquisition activity of business. It can be also said that it is shifting from the material consumption to cultural consumption when seeing from the consumer side. The aim of this report is (1) to explain the cultural capitalism, (2) to explore the relation between tourism industry, which is a basic industry of cultural consuming society, and cultural heritage, and (3) to bring the importance of the accounting value of the heritage assets.

디지털카메라, 카메라폰, DVD 픽업 등의 수요가 증가하고 있고, 유리 성형 기술의 자동화가 진보하고 있기 때문에 유리 성형 프로세스의 동아시아 이전·전개가 진행되고 있다. 최근 동아시아에서도 단순한 축대칭비구면의 성형틀은 정밀가공이 가능해져, 더욱 부가가치가 높은 광학부품을 생산해내기 위해, 복잡형상 세라믹틀의 연삭가공기술의 개발이 반드시 필요하다. 그래서 본고에서는 마이크로 복잡형상 광학부품 성형틀의 초정밀 미세가공기술의 일부를 소개하겠다.
Neutron and Proton Measurements of Cylindrical Radially Convergent Beam Fusion

Radially convergent beam fusion (RCBF) has been studied for practical use as a portable neutron/ proton source for various applications such as landmine detection and medical positron emission tomography. However, some problems remain for practical use, and the most critical one is the insufficiency of absolute neutron/proton yields. In this study, a new RCBF device was designed and tested to obtain higher neutron/proton yields. The key features of the new device are the cylindrical electrode configuration in consideration of better electrostatic confinement of ions and extraction of protons, and an integrated ion source. From the experiments using deuterium gas, it was confirmed that the ion source works effectively. At the same discharge condition of voltage and current, the obtained neutron production rate was about one order of magnitude higher than that of the conventional spherical RCBF device. A maximum neutron production rate of 6.8 × 109 n/s was obtained at a pulsed discharge of .70 kV, 10 A. For application as a proton source, proton yield in the RCBF device should be investigated, but the RCBF device also produces X-rays and electrons. To count protons by Solid-State Detector (SSD), it is necessary to eliminate these X-rays and electrons. Therefore, a new proton-counting system that has been designed has three magnetic deflectors. The SSD position was determined by a calculation of the proton trajectory.bt
