        임대인의 전차인에 대한 차임 직접청구권과 전차인의 차임지급의 항변

        Article 630, 1st clause of Korean Civil Code prescribes: “If a lessee has sub-leased the object with the consent of the lessor, the sub-lessee assumes the obligations directly to the lessor. It this case the sub-lessee may not set a defense against the lessor by a payment of the rent to the sub-lessor.” Differently from the Article 613 of Japanese Civil Code, the Article 630 of Korean Civil Code does not regulate the advance payment of the rent to the sub-lessor, and this type is different from the Article 1753 of French Code Civil which regulates the advance payment of the rent in the time of seize. Nevertheless according to the majority of the civilist and the cited judgement, the sub-lessee may not set a defense against the lessor by a payment of the rent in advance to the time of payment to the sub-lessor. But the interpretation like this is contrary to the meaning of the words of this Article, and the difference between the Article 630 of Korean Civil Code and the Article 630 of Japanese Civil Code is passed over. So just like a french doctrine of the direct action, the Article 630 of Korean Civil Code should be interpreted as the sub-lessee may not set a defense by a payment of the rent to the time of payment to the sub-lessor against the lessor after his exercise of the direct action. The cited judgement in which the sub-lessee could compensate the overdue rent to the caution is not reasonable, and can be justified only in case that each obligation has the requisite for the set-off before the exercise of the direct action of lessor.

        The winding connection type for driving the BLDC motor includes a Y connection and a Delta connection, and selects the winding connection type considering the advantages and disadvantages of each type and the application of the BLDC motor. Generally, we compare and consider the impact on the design structure, torque ripple, noise, consumption current, and control characteristics. However, in the case of motors used in automotive system, various failure modes are occurred, and thereby safety and failure characteristics should be considered and reflected to the design of the motor. In this paper, a new standard for selecting the connection type is proposed by performing research on irreversible demagnetization characteristics by the winding connection type and the circuit failure mode. For this purpose, design parameters by the winding connection type are compared, and basic performance in a normal condition and characteristics of irreversible demagnetization are compared. In addition, irreversible demagnetization characteristics according to failure modes such as Short and Open of the circuit are compared, and confirm the impact of the winding connection type. The research is conducted on a BLDC motor for automotive system and the validation is carried out through FEA (Finite Element Analysis) electromagnetic field analysis tool.

        Anti-Inflammatory Effects of the Chemical Compounds Obtained from Celastrus hindsii in RAW264.7 Cells

        Celastrus hindsii (family Celastraceae) is located abundantly in the United States, China, and Vietnam, where it is utilized as a traditional herbal and traditional drug for the care of cancer. However, the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effects of Celastrus hindsii extract are unknown. In our research, the antioxidant activity of Celastrus hindsii leaf extract was investigated, and then anti-inflammatory efficacy of C. hindsii extract in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced RAW264.7 cells. First, our results revealed that C. hindsii extract showed powerful antioxidant capability. Moreover, the application of C. hindsii extract significantly reduced nitric oxide (NO) production without cytotoxic effects. Furthermore, C. hindsii extract reduced the generation of pro-inflammatory cytokines, like as interleukin (IL)-6, IL-1β, and TNF-α. Our results are the first to confirm the anti-inflammatory capability of C. hindsii extract in RAW264.7 cells.

        In developed countries, people spend more than 90% of their time indoors. Indoor environmental conditions are strongly related to health, well-being, and overall performance. With people spending so much time inside buildings, the issue of Indoor Environment Quality(IEQ) becomes especially important; therefore, a set of functional requirements exist to provide increased occupant comfort. Although IEQ plays an important role in all types of buildings, particular consideration should be paid to elderly care centers. In order to contribute to the deepening the knowledge on this subject, this paper presents the results of measurements of indoor carbon dioxide(CO₂) and fine particulate matter(PM2.5) in an ECC in the city of Goyang. After measuring these two parameters for a long time, the indoor concentration trends were analyzed. In addition, the characteristics of concentration changes according to the different purposes of spaces in ECC were analyzed.

        한국기계연구원에서는 원자로냉각재펌프의 완전특성을 시험할 수 있는 시험 설비를 구축하였다. 이 설비는 유량은 최대 2,000 m3/hr, 동력은 최대 132 kW까지 펌프 및 수차의 시험이 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 완전특성 시험장치 및 시험방법, 이를 이용한 원자로냉각재펌프의 시험결과를 소개하고자 한다. An experimental test facility for the complete characteristics of pumps is constructed at KIMM(Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials). This paper describes the test facility and test technique of the complete characteristics of pumps, together with a experimental test result for a reactor coolant pump.

      • Adipocyte-Specific Deficiency of De Novo Sphingolipid Biosynthesis Leads to Lipodystrophy and Insulin Resistance

        <P>Sphingolipids have been implicated in the etiology of chronic metabolic diseases. Here, we investigated whether sphingolipid biosynthesis is associated with the development of adipose tissues and metabolic diseases. SPTLC2, a subunit of serine palmitoyltransferase, was transcriptionally upregulated in the adipose tissues of obese mice and in differentiating adipocytes. Adipocyte-specific SPTLC2-deficient (aSPTLC2 KO) mice had markedly reduced adipose tissue mass. Fatty acids that were destined for the adipose tissue were instead shunted to liver and caused hepatosteatosis. This impaired fat distribution caused systemic insulin resistance and hyperglycemia, indicating severe lipodystrophy. Mechanistically, sphingosine 1-phosphate (S1P) was reduced in the adipose tissues of aSPTLC2 KO mice, and this inhibited adipocyte proliferation and differentiation via the downregulation of S1P receptor 1 and decreased activity of the peroxisome proliferator-activator receptor gamma. In addition, downregulation of SREBP (sterol regulatory element-binding protein)-1c prevented adipogenesis of aSPTLC2 KO adipocytes. Collectively, our observations suggest that the tight regulation of de novo sphingolipid biosynthesis and S1P signaling plays an important role in adipogenesis and hepatosteatosis.</P>
