Bartłomiej Nowacki 대한사고개발학회 2013 The International Journal of Creativity & Problem Vol.23 No.1
Implicit and explicit theories of creativity are culturally conditioned. Some scholars claim that in developed Western countries, such as USA, Australia, or Canada, society emphasizes qualities like individualism, liberalism, autonomy and self-confidence. Creativity in those cultures is associated with newness, originality, independence and nonconformity. However, such understanding of creativity means the appreciation of the innovative style of creative functioning and depreciation of adaptive or habitual creativity. In Poland, similarly to many East-European cultures, some tendencies towards individualism are observed, but Poland is still a largely traditionalistic and conservative country. Available data leads to the suggestion that Western ways of understanding creativity may influence the organization of its development and could favor an innovative style. Adapting how creativity is developed to participants’ preferences is a process worthy of attention.
Parametric Design of Complex Hull Forms
Kim Hyun-Cheol,Nowacki Horst The Society of Naval Architects of Korea 2005 Journal of ship and ocean technology Vol.9 No.1
In the present study, we suggest a new method for designing complex ship hull forms with multiple domain B-spline surfaces accounting for their topological arrangement, where all subdomains are fully defined in terms of form parameters, e.g., positional, differential and integral descriptors. For the construction of complex hull forms, free-form elementary models such as forebody, afterbody and bulbs are united by Boolean operation and blending surfaces in compliance with the sectional area curve (SAC) of the whole ship. This new design process in this paper is called Sectional Area Curve-Balanced Parametric Design (SAC-BPD).

This paper explores the concept of urban complexity and aims at exploring it in details. Based on a scientific approach, it presents quantitative indicators and mathematical formulae to assess several types of complexity in urban fabric. These indicators will enable to compare different types of urban tissues and analyze the correlation between energy, environmental, economic and social efficiency and urban complexity.

Influence of RehaCom Therapy on the Improvement of Manual Skills in Multiple Sclerosis Subjects
Wioletta Pawlukowska,Natalia Dobrowolska,Aleksandra Szylinska,Dorota Koziarska,Agnieszka Meller,Iwona Rotter,Przemysław Nowacki 대한재활의학회 2020 Annals of Rehabilitation Medicine Vol.44 No.2
Objective To assess the influence of cognitive therapy, in combination with cognitive software, on manual dexterity in individuals with multiple sclerosis (MS). Methods The Nine-Hole Peg Test (NHPT) was used to establish the eligibility of individuals with MS for testing and to assess their upper limb performance. In addition to standard upper limb rehabilitation, 20 participants received RehaCom-based visual-motor therapy, administered three times a week in 20-minute routines. Results A significant relationship was found between the use of manual therapy that utilized the cognitive function platform and the improvement of the non-dominant hand (p=0.037). Compared to controls, the experimental group scored higher on the NHPT, when using the dominant hand (p=0.007). All members of the experimental group, aged ≤60 years, needed considerably less time to do the NHPT with the dominant hand (p=0.008). Conclusion Application of manual therapy using the cognitive function platform improves performance of the hand. However, further research is needed to analyze the correlation between cognitive function and motor performance in patients with MS.

<P><B>Abstract</B></P> <P>Excited states in the N = 40 isotone 62Ti were populated via the 63V ( p , 2 p ) 62Ti reaction at ∼200 MeV/nucleon at the Radioactive Isotope Beam Factory and studied using <I>γ</I>-ray spectroscopy. The energies of the 2 1 + → 0 gs + and 4 1 + → 2 1 + transitions, observed here for the first time, indicate a deformed 62Ti ground state. These energies are increased compared to the neighboring 64Cr and 66Fe isotones, suggesting a small decrease of quadrupole collectivity. The present measurement is well reproduced by large-scale shell-model calculations based on effective interactions, while ab initio and beyond mean-field calculations do not yet reproduce our findings. The shell-model calculations for 62Ti show a dominant configuration with four neutrons excited across the N = 40 gap. Likewise, they indicate that the N = 40 island of inversion extends down to Z = 20 , disfavoring a possible doubly magic character of the elusive 60Ca.</P>
