        Degradation of Triazole Fungicides by Plant Growth-Promoting Bacteria from Contaminated Agricultural Soil

        The widespread application of triazole fungicides (TFs) in agricultural practices can result in the considerable accumulation of active compound residues in the soil and a subsequent negative impact on the soil microbiota and crop health. In this study, we isolated three TF-degrading bacterial strains from contaminated agricultural soils and identified them as Klebsiella sp., Pseudomonas sp., and Citrobacter sp. based on analysis of morphological characteristics and 16S rRNA gene sequences. The strains used three common TFs, namely hexaconazole, difenoconazole, and propiconazole, as their only sources of carbon and energy for growth in a liquid mineral salt medium, with high concentrations (~ 500 mg/l) of each TF. In addition to the ability to degrade fungicides, the isolates also exhibited plant growth-promoting characteristics, such as nitrogen fixation, indole acetic acid production, phosphate dissolution, and cellulose degradation. The synergistic combination of three bacterial isolates significantly improved plant growth and development with an increased survival rate (57%), and achieved TF degradation ranging from 85.83 to 96.59% at a concentration of approximately 50 mg/kg of each TF within 45 days in the soil-plant system. Based on these findings, the three strains and their microbial consortium show promise for application in biofertilizers, to improve soil health and facilitate optimal plant growth.

        Influence of hetero-gate dielectrics on short-channel effects in scaled tunnel field-effect transistors

        In this study, we examined the influence of using hetero-gate dielectrics (HGDs) on the short-channel effects (SCEs) in scaled tunnel field-effect transistors (TFETs). For bulk TFETs, the short-channel performance is not influenced by the HGD engineering because the SCEs are caused by the tunneling at the region with negligible gate control. However, the use of the HGD increases the SCEs in double-gate TFETs because the HGD reduces the gate control on the channel. When the HGD optimized in term of on-current is used, the channel of HGD-TFETs is about 10-nm longer than that of uniform-gate dielectric TFETs to obtain similar SCEs. The SCEs in HGD-TFETs can be improved by locating the drain-side heterojunction toward the drain and/or increasing the ratio of lowand high-k equivalent oxide thicknesses. Due to the trend of scaling transistors, an appropriate design of HGD to minimize the SCEs in scaled HGD-TFETs is also crucial.

        An Integrated Approach of Fuzzy-AHP-TOPSIS for E-commerce Evaluation

        E-commerce has been constantly evolving and increasingly popular in Vietnam recent years. In the global competitive environment as today, it requires a systematical process to evaluate and make a comparision among e-commerces as the references for customers’ decisions and business strategies development. This study proposes a methodology to evaluate the competitive advantages of online shopping websites including Lazada, Tiki, Shopee and Sendo in a case study in Vietnam. In the study, the Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (F-AHP) method is used to build the set of criteria weights. Fuzzy-Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (F-TOPSIS) approach is then applied to evaluate and rank four websites. The results show that A1 is the most appreciated among the four proposed websites, follows by A3, A4 and A2, respectively. From the result, the business managers reconigze their advantages as well as disadvantages, inorder to build suitable strategies for business development.

        Factors Influencing Online Shopping Intention: An Empirical Study in Vietnam

        The study examines factors that influence shopping intention of online consumers in Vietnam. Studied factors include consumers' attitude, subjective norms, perception of behavioral control, perception of usefulness, perceived risks and trust. The expansion of Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB) and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) are used as basic theories. We have surveyed people who have experiences on online shopping. There are 836 selected questionnaires that are qualified for data processing. The collected data are analyzed through a process which starts from scale reliability test to exploratory factor analysis (EFA), correlation analysis and regression analysis. The results show that shopping intention of online consumers are positively affected by their attitude, subjective norms, perception of behavioral control, perception of usefulness and trust. In contrast, online shopping intention is negatively affected by the perceived risks that online shopping could bring. Among those factors, the perception of risk is shown to have the strongest influence to online shopping intention. The findings of this study suggest that managers and retailers can apply cash-on-delivery method and design their website with user-friendly interface to enhance online shopping intention of consumers. The Government is also recommended to fulfill the law system to reduce customers' perception of financial risks.
