This paper discusses the experiences of international students in Korea and their involvement in various educational activities. The paper begins with a brief introduction of the students and their journey to Korea, followed by an exploration of the value of religion and its role in their life as Muslim international students. The paper then delves into the events in which the students participated, including a cross-cultural activity, a walk in the KNU, a food stall at the KNU fair, a visit to the mosque, a Daehyeon-dong movie day, an international cooking program, and an Apsan observatory hiking event. The paper highlights the cultural exchange and interactions that took place during these events, as well as the significance of such activities in promoting cross-cultural understanding and appreciation. The paper also acknowledges the efforts of the organizers and the role played by the university in facilitating these activities. Overall, the paper emphasizes the importance of such events in promoting cultural diversity and understanding in today’s globalized world.

This work looks at the effect of changes in kinetic parameters on simultaneous reactivityinsertions and beam tube flooding in a typical material testing reactor-type researchreactor with low enriched high density (U3Si2-Al) fuel. Using a modified PARET code,various ramp reactivity insertions (from $0.1/0.5 s to $1.3/0.5 s) plus beam tube flooding($0.5/0.25 s) accidents under uncontrolled conditions were analyzed to find their effects onpeak power, net reactivity, and temperature. Then, the effects of changes in kinetic parametersincluding the Doppler coefficient, prompt neutron lifetime, and delayed neutronfractions on simultaneous reactivity insertion and beam tube flooding accidents wereanalyzed. Results show that the power peak values are significantly sensitive to theDoppler coefficient of the system in coupled accidents. The material testing reactor-typesystem under such a coupled accident is not very sensitive to changes in the promptneutron life time; the core under such a coupled transient is not very sensitive to changesin the effective delayed neutron fraction.

Experimental measurements of the response of BF3 detector to a 3 Ci AmeBe neutron source for threedifferent reflecting materials, i.e., aluminum, wood, and Perspex of varying thicknesses have been carriedout. The varying contribution of wall effect to the response due to change in active volume of the detectorhas also been determined experimentally. Then, a Monte Carlo code has been developed for the calculationof the neutron response function of the BF3 detector using source biasing and importance sampling. This code simulates the BF3 detector response exposed to the neutron field in a three-dimensionalsource, detector, and reflecting medium configurations. The results of simulation have been comparedwith the corresponding experimental measurements and are found to be in good agreement. Theexperimental neutron albedo measurements for various values of Perspex thickness show saturatingbehavior, and results agree very well with the data obtained by Monte Carlo simulation.

<P>We consider the joint design of transmit beamforming and receive signal-splitting ratios in the down-link of a wireless network with simultaneous radio frequency information and energy transfer. Under constraints on the signal-to-interference-plus-noise ratio at each user and the total transmit power at the base station, the design objective is to maximize either the sum harvested energy or the minimum harvested energy. We develop a computationally efficient path-following method to solve these challenging nonconvex optimization problems. We mathematically show that the proposed algorithms iteratively progress and converge to locally optimal solutions. Simulation results further show that these locally optimal solutions are the same as the globally optimal solutions for the considered practical network settings.</P>

In this rapidly growing and competitive technological development world, business incubation is a very supportive and productive tool for promoting the entrepreneurial environment, job creation and economic development. The efficacy of incubators is a crucial aspect for boosting the speed of local, regional and national economies and SMEs development. This study argues to suggest that efficiency of business incubators is vital for actively contributing in economic development especially for developing countries, namely China. A document analysis and archives based survey was conducted to review and analyse the practices of business incubators, as well as their strengths and weaknesses. Finally, the findings of the study reveal some future directions of business incubators in China with policy recommendations.

The genetically modified cotton holding Bt proteins, is noxious to bollworms larvae but very little is known about its impact on population of non-target spiders within the field. Studies conducted with the aim to identify spiders along with their abundance, prevalence pattern, preying habit on insect pests in Bt cotton (L280, Cry2Ab4) and commonness of symbiotic bacteria in these spiders. Spiders collections were made via vial tapping/jarring, from May to end of October (2018). In total, 13,342 spiders were recorded during the entire cropping season. Least relative abundance was in May (0.28%), highest in August (30.39%) while ahead decline was observed, reached to 12% in October. The 27 species were verified, least richness was in May (3 species), high in August (19 species), later in the end, reduced to 7 species. High abundance was of Hylyphantes graminicola (68.56%) and Neoscona theisi (19.98%). Existence of H. graminicola and Pardosa astrigera observed during the whole cropping season. Presence of seven guilds among spiders had a diverse nature of hunting insect pests and on number of species existed in the crop, maximum was from direct hunting habit. Composition and community structure of microbiota varied as of spider species. Proteobacteria was the most abundant bacterial phylum and topmost genus was Wolbachia in observed spiders. Five groups of bacteria distinguished across 4 clusters of spiders depending on core community of symbiotic bacterial genera. This effort is an initial step to get knowhow about spiders in Bt cotton, which will facilitate future research studies concerning spiders.
User Preference-Based Dual-Memory Neural Model With Memory Consolidation Approach

<P>Memory modeling has been a popular topic of research for improving the performance of autonomous agents in cognition related problems. Apart from learning distinct experiences correctly, significant or recurring experiences are expected to be learned better and be retrieved easier. In order to achieve this objective, this paper proposes a user preference-based dual-memory adaptive resonance theory network model, which makes use of a user preference to encode memories with various strengths and to learn and forget at various rates. Over a period of time, memories undergo a consolidation-like process at a rate proportional to the user preference at the time of encoding and the frequency of recall of a particular memory. Consolidated memories are easier to recall and are more stable. This dual-memory neural model generates distinct episodic memories and a flexible semantic-like memory component. This leads to an enhanced retrieval mechanism of experiences through two routes. The simulation results are presented to evaluate the proposed memory model based on various kinds of cues over a number of trials. The experimental results on Mybot are also presented. The results verify that not only are distinct experiences learned correctly but also that experiences associated with higher user preference and recall frequency are consolidated earlier. Thus, these experiences are recalled more easily relative to the unconsolidated experiences.</P>

<P>The fundamental issues related to the formation of mechanical cracks and the chemical residue during the transfer process of large-area CVD graphene by polymeric carrier-films are addressed in this work. This paper presents a method to design a new polymer carrier-film (using polystyrene (PS) and 4,4′-diisopropylbiphenyl (DIPB)) that is free from mechanical cracks and polymer residue during the transfer of large-area graphene from a metal catalyst. This new polymer carrier film shows excellent mechanical flexibility and good solubility in tetrahydrofuran solvent without any residue and it is confirmed that the graphene transfer process is excellent without mechanical destruction even over a large area. Our result gave a technical milestone for the real industrial application of graphene in many application areas (not only graphene but also several two-dimensional materials such as boron nitride, transition metal di-chalcogenide, and black phosphorus).</P>
Effect of Underlying Bi<sub>2</sub>Se<sub>3</sub> Surface on Magnetic Properties of Ni Films

<P>We have investigated magnetic properties of Ni film specimens deposited either on GaAs or on Bi2Se3 surfaces. The magnetization saturation field along the out-of-plane direction observed in the Hall data was weaker for the Ni/Bi2Se3 sample than for the Ni/GaAs sample. On the other hand, planar Hall resistance measurements showed the larger in-plane coercive field for Ni/Bi2Se3 than for Ni/GaAs. These changes of magnetic hardness observed along the out-of-plane and in-plane directions in the Ni/Bi2Se3 specimen are consistent with effects arising from spin-orbit interaction at the surface of the Bi2Se3 topological insulator.</P>
