Reversibility of European Heatwaves in a CO₂ Removal Scenario

Europe has experienced severe extremes more frequently since the 21<SUP>st</SUP> century. In terms of heatwave, it is expected to increase in frequency, intensity, and duration in an enhanced warming world. To investigate the reversibility of European heatwaves, we performed a CO₂ removal experiment using an Earth system model, in which the CO₂ concentrations are ramp-down returned to the present-day(PD) level, referred to as a Restoring period (RP), after reaching the ramp-up toward CO₂ quadrupling. As a result, the changes in heatwave characteristics have a difference by regions. Compared to the PD, annual heatwave days of RP are increased twice over around the UK, whereas more than half of events are decreased in Central Eastern Europe. The changes of average daily maximum temperature in both areas are also quite different. Overall, change of the heat wave characteristics over Southern Europe follows directly the CO₂ level changes, while that over the UK is likely influenced by the enhanced anomalous North Atlantic warming associated with the overshooting of Atlantic Meridional Overturning Circulation (AMOC) at the end of the ramp-down period. Our results help in understanding regional different heatwave trends in the Future.

As wireless applications such as WSN(Wireless Sensor Network), RFID(Radio-Frequency Identification), and IoT(Internet of Things) are rapidly growing, the importance of information security and privacy has been increasing. To improve security and privacy given a highly constrained circumstance, lightweight cryptography techniques such as lightweight block ciphers have been proposed recently. In this paper, we analyze the algorithms of PRESENT, CLEFIA, and LEA, which are lightweight block cipher standards, and compare the hardware implementation results.
보육교사 양성과정 학생 특성에 관한 연구 : 1996년 서일전문대학 보육교사양성과정 학생을 중심으로

This study attempts to analyze actual condition and psychology of students attending training schools for educare teachers in order to provide basic information needed for improving questionnaire on actual condition and a personality diagnosis test, which were surveyed to 315 students attending the Educare Teachers' Training School, Seoil Junior College. Major findings of this study are summarized as follows : About 32% of the respondents have occupations. Generally, they are satisfied with the training program, but want to extend the training period. Most want to work at a day care center after graduation. Results of the personality test show that most students are psychologically stable. but some students reveal a status of a grave concern. Individual counseling and guidance programs should be made and implemented for these students. This study is a part of a series of studies, which have been done annually since 1993 and will be continued for some more years to collect comprehensive and systematic information on these students. Thus, cumulative results of these studies are expected to be used as scientific data for developing education and counseling programs of training schools for educare teachers.

영상 신호에서 Dynamic Range는 이미지가 포함하고 있는 휘도의 최소 레벨과 최대 레벨의 비이다. 이미지 촬상 장치가 표현할 수 있는 Dynamic Range는 한정되어 있기 때문에 한정된 범위를 벗어나는 영역에 대해서는 이미지의 왜곡 혹은 손실이 발생한다. 본 논문에서는 Line별로 다른 Integration Time을 적용하는 방법으로 영상의 계조 표현 범위를 넓게 향상시켜 Wide Dynamic Range를 갖는 영상을 얻은 방법을 기술한다.
